Can you hear the sound of my heartbeat?
Can you recognize the sound?
Can you identify the noise?
It's your name which my heart is screaming.
Every second my heart beats for you and deeply yearns for you.
I hope you listen to it someday

A little ditty bout Karl and DiAnne
Two old kids living in the heartland
Karl he gonna be the next Bukowski
DiAnne the beauty he loved in the backseat

******* on a bud on the porch
Dianne sitting on his lap
His hands tween her knees

C'mon Dianne let's run off
neath the shady trees
Dribble off them Bobby Brooks
Let me do
What I please

Ten cats
Two dogs singing

Oh yeah
Life goes on

Long after
All the kibble
Is gone

Karl sits back
Collects his thoughts for a moment
Thinks
With you and all
These
Animals

I ain't missing
Nothing.

Oh yeah

Life goes on
Love you DiAnne

Your mischievous gaze
your dark brown eyes, not as shiny as they should be
tell a very sad tale
straight from your heart

I offered you an
Olive branch...

Being with your broken
soul, whilst trying
to repair my own
was just hurting us more

It’s hot today
People play artificial games
Sunbathing in the plastic Sun
The screen is melting
as they click along

Everyone’s thirsty
They can't quench their thirst
despite drinking
All they want is more and more
What are the needing

And somewhere down the road
It’s raining on the 4tn floor
The water flows down the windows
The river floats through the door

There’s a pond in the middle
of the kitchen
And the water is calm
Nobody’s thirsty here

We’ve got all we need

I sit satisfied
Smiling smugly
Ha!  I think.
Go ahead,
Just ask me anything you want to know
Go ahead.
I defy you!
Huh?
Whaddaya mean
Is it dark
Inside of
Snowballs?
In honor of my brother Dan on what would have been his 74th birthday today.  He was a great athlete and poet, but this was the only one I could find.  He died after turning 60.  I miss you Danny.  Love, Terry
