Today's barren tree is tomorrows fruitful harvest
live life expectantly

O what heights you have reached
Green  little Leaf
But soon the seasons change
And you will fall to me

Now, I cannot touch you
I can only look and see
It is sad that you must die
Before you will come to me

You know not I watch
In the summers breeze I have seen you dance
There high upon your stage
You sway and you prance

You posses such beauty
Up there close to heavens stars
Just a simple little Leaf
But I love you as you are

I want to hold you , Leaf
But out of reach you reside
I long to gently touch you
Before it is you die.

In some early mornings dawn
When father time has brought the fall
Have you walked among the hardwoods
And below the oaks so tall

Have you stepped upon the leaves
Of orange and red and brown
Have you felt the breeze so cool
That gently brings them down

Have you heard the morning chatter
Of squirrels in the wind
And the chorus of a cardinal
As the day begins

Have you watched as the sun
Turns the sky from dark to blue
Or the honking sound of geese
As overhead they flew

There is such beauty in a woodland
On a quiet cool fall morning
A perfect place to be
A place to be returning
Just thinking about and anticipating the arrival of Fall,
"Thank you Lord for the changes in the seasons".

Have you ever heard ,
Listening to natures sounds,
GOD speak to you,
From heavens hallowed ground ?

So many colors on nature’s palette
There are many moods and emotions
Picturesque gallery of many paintings
Forever framed in the travelers mind
Masterpieces cannot be recreated
If we only hold onto black and white
Immerse the soul in nature’s color
Many shades will color the spirit

Funny how the mind works
When it is we snooze
Diving into dreams
Splashing crazy loose

Trouble behind us
There'll be trouble ahead
Don't let the worries
Be all that is fed

Open up to enlightenment
Brush the cobwebs aside
Don't answer the door to your nightmares
Focus clearly with your minds eye

Tomorrow isn't cast in stone
Yesterdays sun has set
You can't enjoy the moments between
While dwelling on regret

So what you fill your mind with
In your daily dreams
Can make all the difference in the world
In how you wake and how you sleep
This was the first collaboration I've done on here and it couldn't have been at a better time. Thank you Mike Hauser for reaching out with the idea. I love the outcome. Check out his work, it's inspiring!
Dear Hello Poetry Poet,

Hypocrisy
Is what you say
It's what you do
Everything I hear
In every "I. Love. You."

❤❤❤

You want her, You love her.
I want you, I love you.
You don't want me, You don't love me.
She only needs you, She doesn't love you.

You feel about her, The way I feel about you.
I feel your pain, I feel what you do.

The point of all this?

I show you sympathy and mercy.
Unlike you do for me.

So much hypocrisy
But it doesn't matter to me.

Cause as much as you say you love her, I love you that much more.
And as much as you say you'd do for her,  I'd do for you that much more.
❤❤❤

Now...
Tonight as you lay by my side, thinking about her while you're holding me tight and you find this letter here on Hello Poetry, I hope this may help you to understand,  that although I think you're an amazing man, you're hurting me like she's hurting you.

There's nothing left to say or do...
This hypocrisy is killing me and it's certainly not helping you...

Just never forget about The Girl Who Loved You. ❤
The man I love is a poet on here,  his identity I shall keep hidden.
Please don't hate him for what he's doing to me,  for just like you and me, he can't help who he loves.
You see...
This is a big world and I'd like to say that I've found my "ONE"
But there's too many others out there to say that my search is done.
So for this "ONE", eventually and soon I'll have to give up the dream.
As to what else is out there? That remains to be seen...

Soul is nourished by love
Heart is the vault where love resides
Flowing a silent course
Invigorating our being and love decides

I feel such Gratitude when I think of you
I feel so much it overflows
I want you to know how much I appreciate you
You are an inspiration and a muse to me
I have not met many of you face to face , but
No one else can take your place
I hold a special place in my heart for you
You are not just mere followers I consider each and every one of you my friends
We are bonded together as artists of the written word
In case you forgot I will tell you again
You are Awesome
You are special
You are a muse
You touch my heart with your poems, and because of all of you I am forever changed
You are amazing  in many ways
I just had to share my gratitude for each and every one of you

On my journey of discovery
I've realized that,  sometimes
the weight of one's words are harder
to bear than one might expect

I watch you from a distance
Though you know not I see
And as I watch I wonder
What must your story be

I can see some truths about you
But they are very few
I have more questions than answers
As I wonder about you

I know you are someones daughter
Could you be a mother
Do you have a sister
Or maybe even a brother

I know you had a father
I ask"Did he love you true"
Who might your mother be
And did she care for you

Where did you once live
Did you have a home
Do you have anyone
Or do you live life alone

Is it your choice to live alone
Is there no one with which to share
Do you have someone to love you
And someone for which you care

When did your journey start
Were you loved when it began
Do you have any hope today
Or do you just wish that life would end

No, I do not know you
Your joys or your sorrows
But I wonder do you know
There is hope for tomorrow

To me you are a mystery
Only God knows your glory
When I see you I wonder
But God knows your story
I wrote this poem today as I sat at a local park having some quiet time and a cup of coffee. I noticed a woman under the pavilion who appeared to be  homeless. I watched her for a while ,then she gathered up her belongings ,put them into a bag and walked away. As I sat there watching her these thoughts came to me and I wondered, What is your story ?

would you rather reach for the moon and succeed, or give a star to someone whose lost hope in them?

50 years have past
Those days now are faded
The sunshine of my years
Has now become shaded

50 years ago yet only yesterday
That I was a little boy
Running around the old home place
With a heart full of joy

50 years of memories
O ,the many faces I have known
A few here still remain
But many cherished now are gone

50 years have come my way
And 50 years have left
Looking back across the bridge of time
I see fading images of myself

How quickly from a boy I grew
Growing up to become a man
Given the choice if I had my way
How I would love to be a boy again

Spending my days as a soldier
Sometimes a cowboy true
Fishing for crawdads down at the creek
Under the azure blue

50 years past seems so long
But its really only a breath ago
Like the waters of a mighty river
How quickly the waters of time do flow

50 years of blessings
To me God has given
So many blessings undeserved
In this 50 years of living

This 50 years of life I have lived
Has been filled with tears and smiles and glory
All I have known and seen and done
Are written upon the heart of my 50 year story.
