When she understood her first game of chess.
When she was runner up.
When she swam in the sea fearlessly.
When she heard the words I Love You struggle from his mouth.
When she landed on the ice and didn’t fall.
When she shut the door and was brave.
When she was sad because someone else was sad.
When she was happy because someone else was happy.
When she fell asleep on the train and travelled far beyond what she knew.
When she went elsewhere and came back.
When she learnt to identify fox gloves and two distinct birds.
When she read about what Katy Did because she’d been told to, and what Katy Did Next because she wanted to.
When she felt beautiful and invisible and good at his birthday party.
When she got an upgrade on an aeroplane and fell asleep with all the leg room.
When she broke a bone in a playground in Egypt at night.
When she protested for peace.
When she photographed them smiling.
When she walked calmly across a stage.
When she made a statement about double standards.
When she was eloquent at the dinner table.
When she decided to let it go.
When she said goodbye and looked back.
When she said no and meant no.

Masks we sometimes wear
Wearing a happy face when we want to cry
why do we disguise what is truely inside and hide behind these masks we wear?
A comedy mask to hide the pain and tears that we still prefer not to face after all these years
the true tragedy that we endured is buried deep beneath
We can become slaves to fear and let the mask turn to a horrific one if we let the fear overcome us.
We can be so afraid of rejection instead of seeking protection from fear itself or instead of letting someone know us for who we really are.
It is better to be real with those around us then to be suffocating behind the masks we sometimes chose to wear
It can be so freeing to just except ourselves and let others see our unique real qualities instead of a masked altered identity.
I used to some years back not let people know how I really felt and hide my feelings. In doing so I became one of my own worst enemies. It was like holding my own self in an emotional prison.

kinda
like an
eccentric

living his life

with
three
cats

waking
up in
the middle
of the
night

pinching
a flea off
his *****

before
turning
over

on his side
to take sleep
again
Your soul has no height nor weight,
It has no marks of scars of your past,
Nor tattoos of what your body has ever undergone,
So then your soul is plain,
Open,****..
Its what i love about you..
Why hold yourself captive of your past troubles, scars ad deeds,
When those things aren't marked on your true being;the real person you are,
We define everything first by how it looks.
With this,we lose opportunities with great people,
We overlook them and forget theres a deeper side of them to which we can connect.
For as long as a human being is bound to err,
Trust will forever remain a grief to bear.

Mysterious Aries
Eyes aghast, mind collapsed

Truly, night is longer than day

The picture of a genuine smile

Seems Mercury or Mars else, Jupiter, away

Patience stuff must hold so much

During time of a twisted despair

We need a lengthy break

Sigh, a long breath of spanking air

Build anew, start again

Hey, that's how life works

As long as hope still lingers on

The home of a true smile, still on Earth...
