Thank you to all of you who have joined my group "Perturbations."
I sent out a rather large number of invites to a rather small population of the writers I respect rather much with whom I've had the pleasure of interacting; a few of them have taken the bait, and for that I thank thee.

"Perturbations" is a collection of my own works which I wish to become a book, most likely by the same title.

I welcome all constructive feedback. If a piece is weak or needs a tweak, please speak your mind freely and with respect. :)

If any of you would have an interest in following/joining the group who haven't done so, you are so much more than welcome to do so. I would consider it a compliment.

Personal Disclaimer:
This isn't intended to be an ego thing for me, it is meant to show people who enjoy my work/style the works I feel best about. I'd also be verily interested to see similar collections of other people's own favorite pieces.
The fact that we (may) disagree
doesn't at all mean
that we cannot agree;
in fact, as I see it,
all it means
is that we are both
mutually unique-

Fancy that.
We are individuals.

Maybe it is
that the greatest good can come
from the mean of our viewpoints,
and, hence,
the philosophy
of democracy.

If only
such a philosophy
was popular
among thy
who decide
our policy;
that is to say,
the Media:

it isn't democracy;
as long as you have faith in them,
it's whatever the **** they tell you;
whether you realize it
or not.
(Preferably not.)

Anyway,
the discrepancy between our viewpoints is not a sign of mutual distancing, but rather a sign of alternative philosophies.

According to Statistics,
larger "n" values (sample sizes)
lend themselves to a greater degree of accuracy.
Such known,
why do so many adhere to a perspective
that deliberately depends on limited n values?

I suppose
that an answer to that is
'the Shadow.'
Juangians, raise your hands! Yeah!

As an artifact of the Id and Ego,
(Freudians, raise your hands!),
it is ever-evolving;
yet, as an artifact of the Mind,
it is ever-apparent:

Command it,
or is shall command thee.
So, when someone disagrees,
do not meet them with resent,
but seek to meet them with respect.

Through compassion and respect
shall we re-inherit this Earth
from they, who seek control
via daemons of aforementioned
'public opinion.'

But, then again,
that's just my opinion.
Whatever it is
that gets you
out of your bed;
do that all day-
do that all day.

Whatever it is
that keeps you
out of your bed;
you'll find a way-
gotta find that way.

If it is
something you love
it is a part of you,
just as you, now,
are a part of it, too.
May someday become a song. We'll see. I hear some bluesy music when I read this, so perhaps that's indicative.

So it would seem,
the only difference
twixt Animal Behavior
and Human Behavior
is a capacity
for written
and spoken
Language.

---Epilogue--

According to various 'dictionaries,'
the word "anthrocentric" doesn't exist.
I, however, define it as the same principals of
sexism, ethnocentrism, or nationalism,
but applied to the perception
of a validated stratification of Human Beings
over the entirety of the Web of Life,
rather than to simply
the ***, ethnicity or nationality
of another.

I feel
the natural world around us
is far more sacred than we are-
although we are spawned of it.

I feel
it is so much more sacred
due to an absent respect for it
and the other beings
which it hosts so well;
so selflessly.

We **** Sapiens Sapiens
have defiled our own sanctity
via lack of respect
for ourselves,
let alone others Beings;
Human, and otherwise.

Apparently, that isn't very popular.

So many Egos
would rather depend on
intentionally small sample sizes,
while many Ids
would rather self-preclude
the challenge of self-observation
fore a mere and fleeting
(most likely destructive)
comfort.

I venture to say that is a present form of cowardice.
--Afterword--
So,
like it or not,
t'is an expression of my Self.
I fell I owe it to myself
to express it exactly as such.
I don't think as I do
for popularity;
it's just who I am
and what I think.

Look things up.
Explore ideas.
I think it's sorta funny
how when you pay with *plastic

they ask you:  "Debit, or credit?";
because,
as denoted in a dictionary,
they are polar opposites;
yet,
as connotated in popular culture,
they differ
only in the time it takes
to be charged,
that is to say
to incur a loss.

So,
in certain ways,
it can be said one is wiser
to chose "debit";
which, I find, deeply ironic:

In our culture
One
gets to choose
either debit
or credit;
and,
in our culture,
One
can be wiser
to choose
debit.

This, and more, withstanding;
I tend to try to use cash.
A debit is to incur a loss,
A credit is to incur a gain.

Dictionary is credit to team!
Fret not
over
who you have been,
what you have done.

Simply seek
to do better
henceforth.

Look not back,
but forwards.

Be not constrained
by thy past:
unleash thy future.
Title is pronounced:
"Fehr-bess-air-ung"
Verbesserung is German for 'Improvement" or "Betterment"
The hill always looks tallest
as you stand at it's foot;
however,
I think you'll find
the view gets far better
as you ascend.

It's well worth the effort.
Infallibility
is not needing to defend,
not silencing dissidents.
"I'd rather take the chance to embrace the Obstacle
than revel in the ignorant convenience of it's absence
for the petty sake of mere fleeting Comfort."
"Well, ****!
I know more now than I did five minutes ago.
I like that."
"I'm gonna take the moral high ground
just so I can look down at them;
'cause, after all, that seems to be
what moral high ground is all about."
No offense to the Dung Beetles, of course.
"Oh, I'm so sorry;
I didn't intend to interrupt
your self-loathing boredom.
Please, do carry on;
I can see how very important it is to you."
Where is the sun?

Somewhere between commentary and dialogue. Inner monologue, perhaps? Call it following a whim~
"I can understand the reservations
some of us obviously have
when it comes to turning attention inwards:

it takes great courage to face those inner Beasts
from which we've all run and hidden;
but just imagine the crazy freedom
were they to be tamed and ridden."
The passive voice, *******; is it spoken?
