Dolphin Goddess
You light our souls
With your rich and
Luscious gia energy
And allow us to
Bask in your
Goddess form
As your soul
And energy take
Us to newer high
As we all climb
The mountain of
Your love and
Connection for
Our mother earth
And for the rich
Feminine and life
Giving energies that
Are all around us
You survey your
Kingdom and see
That it is good and
Beautiful and that
All is well in your
Paradise as your
Dolphin Goddess
Dreams take flight
In the night we get
Closer to your
Heart and soul
As you open up
Yourself fully
And completely
To anyone who
Is willing to bask
Upon your light
And gain your
Ancient wisdom
And joy that
Sprouts from
Your heart and
Gets shared with
With everyone
You meet along
Your way in life
They see that light
And hidden goddess
Inside just waiting
To be unleased with
A warm smile and
Embrace of souls
As her energy
Collides and
Embraces with
The universe and
Everything
In between

Enveloped in the sacred blue
your lyrically beckoning shores
an ancient anchoring to renew
safe harbor unknown before

Depths of clarity and calmness
in truth too deep to fathom
forever guarded by the goddess
sunken treasures not abandoned

This ship must cross the latitude
persistent winds setting sails
a changing in its attitude
soon homecoming prevails

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there were people  who believed in laughter,  joy and love. They believed in many deities,  but the most important to them was their Great Mother Goddess. They believed in and lived with the powers of Nature. They reveled in the Wind,  the Rain, the Snow and the Sunlight. They marveled at and  revered  the changing of the seasons and saw  therein  great excitement  and  wisdom to be gained. They knew  that  if  they
tended,  cared  for  and  loved the Earth,  in return  She  would provide for,  care for and love them.   They saw that all  around them  the  world was filled with Life,  much as their own but  in many  different and wonderful forms.   They felt the life of  the flowers,  plants  and  trees  and respected them  for  that  life essence.   They  looked about and observed all the many types  of animals  and saw that they were kindred to them and  loved  them.  They  felt  and observed the great Love of the Goddess all  about them  and knew kinship with the Moon.   They were practioners  of
The Old Religion, worshipers of The Great Mother!
Something I am reposting - I found it on the web. It is important to me. =)

I like to
  kiss your
    liquid
      lovers
        lips
                                   dissolving sugar sweet majesty
                                                                                               your highness
        kneeling to the
      queen of
    centuries

I live in first quarter of the moon
  mixing tapes
   to match
                                                                           the rhythms of the maiden
        with the
                                                                                 melodies of the mother

I will love you in secret

Of it, the state must not know                      Out, the fire must not blow

do
  not
    let
      them
        burn
          me
            alive

            I promise
          to keep
        my commitments
      cataloged and
    separate my
   chastity in one drawer
  my sensuality in
another

                                                                                                    I can be both

                                                                  I can be both

I can live on as an empire

and exist as the city in ruin

I will bear the sword and
  wear the heavy paws
in the belly of the Colosseum
I will sit on the balcony
                                                                                  bored and eating grapes
                                                                                                         calling out
"Execution!"

Agnes was certainly no beauty by any
standard of the day, not even 'pretty'
really. Not the type anyone would
notice as she'd scurry through a room.

Surely her stress ridden life added to
the many wrinkles and dark circles
that plagued her face, and the weathered
look of her eyes and skin, and sunken
posture.

To meet her gaze was to witness a far
off, blank expression, where once
emotion and thought were reflected.

Until the day she came toward me with
a box. She sat by me, looked into my
eyes, and spoke in a manner and voice
I'd never heard from her...almost
animated.

She explained how she'd saved and
saved, secretly, with the hope that
one day she'd find something she
believed in strongly enough to invest
in...and, that day was today, and that
'something' was ME!

As she spoke, I came to see her in a
different light. With each passing
sentence carried by her voice, the
wrinkles and ravages of time seemed
to fade. With each passing minute,
the years in her eyes seemed to melt
away and her light shone through,
and I could swear I saw her once
young, vibrant self, smiling at me.

In that small, significant pocket of time
she had looked upon me and found
someone who needed her, once again
truly needed her, and I had found in
her someone who believed, finally truly
believed...in me.

Perhaps it was the blasphemy of lovers and fools
This dalliance of ravens and necromancy
The brush of pomegranate mouths
Amaranthine against the backdrop of ochre and tintype
I dance the silent rhythm
Innate the rush of blood in veins
Salome
I am your feathered death on prism wings
Small consolation you cannot see the soul beneath the veil
Spin a legacy of heretics starry eyed and hungry
For flesh and soft skin
Spills the stain on pristine canvas
The palette of indiscretions
Peep show intimacies
Vibrant I am unfettered light
And you are blind
In black and white and gray
You twist this myth
Ropes coiled serpentine
Hungry eyed you feed on dreams
Cellulose crackling in the heat
Borne on desert winds
I rise to claim you
I am the moment
Pigment and poetry
Alive and fluid in your mind
Inescapable
Whisper my name
Salome

Seán Mac Falls
Deep in the shines
Of cobalt blinding suns,
A cold traveler is bound, lost,
With only pointed starry night
As print to slow circumnavigations
Of her ****** heavens, visions scope,
Cardinal points are ever reaching
Towards ancient regions of nether,
Pharohs deltas, negations and delight.
Twin stars searing, burning, burst—
And in the exploding nebulas of iris,
Celestial oceans of aquas rise, cries—
Eternal blue laid of cerulean skies
Outreach and reel, lot vacuums vast
To outer lands, riding stars chariot,
With such spacial years of light,
Only in eyes of her.

I would have taken Medusa
Held her in my palms
Freezing you from delicate feet
To high strung arms
I would have knelt to Athena
With a smirk
To deflower a goddess
But you were too wise for that
My flirts would be accompanied with a smack
I would have carried Zeus upon my back
Walking  88,729 miles from the sun
In a race
Where being fifth place
Lets me know I've won
Yes i would have been your reason
Your brown leaves bringing about a new season
I would have brought with me
A silver bow
And golden lyre
Bringing about songs of Apollo
As embers from the fire
Hollow trees
The holes in my heart
I have filled with wine
Dionysus in true of his time
I would have called you mine
I would have loved your beauty
Touched your desires
As i admired
Aphrodite in blue
The color i witnessed
As i kissed you
I would have been clever
As i pulled the levers to your mind
Quick as lightening
To put out the thunders of our fighting
Yes I'd be your Hermes
And I would have named you ****
When your lust for youth was taken
I would have awakened as Aries
Prepared for war
When you had battles within
I would have been a god
To slay your demons

There is a woman, her name is anonymous, she's strong and has an understanding of the ominous. She lives in a house with an infinite view on top of mount Olympus where she grew up battling Ares and learned that life doesn't have to be so serious. Kissing a poem like her is why I'm wishful, to feel the silk underneath her clothes is what keeps my chest slow and blissful. As a poet I'll call her Athena, the one who's anger can devour the flesh of anyone who enters her arena, a goddess in her own right, she even has three golden apples from Eris, sitting atop a bowl of emeralds in her eye, its quite the sight, when I look into them I feel like I'm going to lose all control and fall to her every whim so I must fight, fight until she stays with me another night.

Twelve Olympians, to rule as they choose.
Twelve Olympians, we'll start with Zeus.
God of sky, thunder, lightning, law.
Ruled the Olympians with the justice he saw.
Commonly referred to as the Father.
Next is Poseidon, God of Water.
"A tamer of horses and a saviour of ships,"
Said in one of Homer's hymns.
Next is Hera, Queen of the Gods, and of women.
Giving mothers a carriage, and marriage to men.
Next is Demeter, Goddess of Harvest, giving fertility.
Hades captured her daughter, Persephone, and her virginity.
Then there's Athena, Goddess of Wisdom.
Lept out of Zeus' head, and earned her throne in the kingdom.
Apollo is next, God of Music, Poetry, Light.
Also capable of bringing plague and plight.
Artemis, Goddess of Moon and Hunt, and Apollo's twin.
Guided mothers through childbirth, a sacred ******.
Also, beloved Aphrodite, Goddess of Love.
Lover of Ares, who favored battles and blood.
Only Hephaestus and Aphrodite were wed.
Fire, metalwork, art of sculpture he led.
Also, there's Hermes, a god bringing word.
Among other things, guide to the Underworld.
Finally, there's Hesta, Goddess of the Hearth.
Feeding families and serving the home with warmth.
Twelve Olympians, to rule the sky.
Twelve Olympians, give your memory a try.
Pretty boring, giving educational poems a try. School House Rock, anyone?

They call me goddess,
convincing and invincible,
armed with shield and spear.

They paint me golden,
crowned and crested helm,
child of Zeus alone.

No mother nor footprints to follow,
it is hard to know if this path is my own.
They tell me I am the daughter of wisdom.

But am I the only of the divine whose heart
is not full?

I hold the city to my chest
but have always measured loneliness
as the distance I am from myself.

They call me ****** of Athens.
Grateful for my olive tree,
they tell me I am
strong in will and mind;
no need for a lover.

But sometimes I wish Poseidon had
poisoned this city long ago,
for I cannot be Athena alone.
