Cupid the Roman god of love,

flew down like a dove.

Striking arrows to bring people together,

hoping the love lasts forever.

Son of Venus and Mars,

pictures portray him surrounded by hearts.

His name means desire,

he likes to set hearts on fire.

His mother was the jealous kind,

I women better than her, she did find.

She ordered cupid to find her a man,

but evil was her plan.

She told cupid to choose the vilest man,

to take this women's hand.

As cupid sat on the edge of the girl's bed,

he scratched himself with his arrow head.

He couldn't help but fall for the girl,

his mother was set on sending to hell.

He would visit her each and every night,

telling she could never catch a sight.

Two evil sisters she had,

who told her this guy was bad,

so one night she couldn't help but look,

cupid didn't take this well, and off he took.

She searched the world for him,

and didn't stop til Jupitar stepped in.

He gave her immortality,

so she could make her love for cupid reality.

Now they live happy together,

with their daughter voluptas forever.

Cupid and his wife Psyche,

flew off into the night.
Black satin drapes over her delicate body
red silk adorns her face
she is the goddess of the dark
my beautiful nightmare

She beckons me to come to her
pulls me into her black hole
and there we make a covenant
only for her I draw my sword

She of many names adores me
so by her side I do fight
for the glory of her wisdom
and the poetry of the darkest night

You won't find another goddess like me
Making all my words flow like poetry
I'm a lyrical genius
A metaphorical blasphemous
A stream of consciousness
To rock your world
I'm not just another girl
Make your minds spin and twirl
I'm THE Poetry Goddess
Making images with words
Like paint on a canvas
A visual impression on your mind
A poet like me
Is hard to come by
Try to visualize
Me walking away
That's the day
You'll say you're hardest goodbye
Cuz a Poetry Goddess like me
Is hard to come by

I turned away from reality
And entered another world
A world deep within the recesses of my mind
I can now enter another make believe world
Walk 'neath a canopy of autumn leaves
In the company of woodland elves
Watch in wonderment as faeries
Perform their nightly fire fly dance
Why don't you come with me
And see the dragons lair
Reach out a quiet hand, gold and diamonds to ensnare
Or we can visit the dwarven smiths
See their hammer beaten art
Works of spleandour unknown to modern man
In dwarven forges  the art does live
We will gather at the summer fayre
Where sweet harpen music sounds
In that pleasant sunlit glade
Where birds and butterflies abound
Take me not from this wondrous place
Where magic still survives
Where the power of the wizard staff
Helps the good to stay alive
Suddenly a buzzing sound destroys this tranquil scene
I wake to the sound of my alarm
Realize it was just a dream
I can acomplish anything
in my dreams I forgive you
have slept with one woman
and two older ladies later
surprisingly sweet

charming

you had me for the dessert
after the same aged chest
dune planet was innocent
awry, happy,
subliminal

not occuring

our sensory receptors
need
to be more open

accepting
Nomens as lucid Omens
stars in your eyes and a bright
mass within waves of the mind

germinatrix

sensual aroused awareness
honey. . . your tower seems
like a marvel of a slick bridge
growing inside me

well gourded fortress

silent for many ages,
here, archaic oak doors stand,
imposant, aged by
translucent rains
horsmen, ladies, light
steps, the perfume of ever
crying branches thrown
to the winds of time

even heaven's allured

by this wildest dreams,
oak entering yearns for
a sweet melody,
sound sang by the
horseshoe shaped

we are rare devotional flowers

growing toward the Sun's love
our curved green bodies are coloured
little skirts, our petal veils listen to every
raindrop's fall. Feel every one
of them heavy light
unbearable
beauty

within awe stricken garden's architecture

ladybum intimidates

wandering in the median

body bent,

hair coarsely pulled in crooked pony tail.

what happened to your face?

were you born that way?

with cupped hands, pleading-

stopping my car at the intersection,

driver’s side window-

my trying to be cold but guiltily relenting

people are watching and

what will they think?

your crazy eyes pierce me desperately

wild emotion and

something once described to me as crocodile tears-

Tensely clutching the steering wheel,

hastily scooping change and used fuses

to pour them into your hands

wishing you away-

some kinda spell of some halfhearted charity.

depart depart leave my pity intact

so that I don’t see myself

in the gaps of your missing teeth.

the guilt you spill

making my heart heavy

like a gull in petroleum.

I still see you from time to time

and resentfully I examine you,

ladybum-

bent body, missing chin and Baba Yaga legs.

thinking you some kind of witch,

avoiding you like

cracks in the sidewalk.

and bright knights

the phoenix spread
her smouldering wings
the Sphinx dethroned
future kings

the Queen of Hearts
a heartless nag
Baba Yaga the stilted
house . the hag

brave Beowulf
dragged down to drown
the monster Grendel
by him was slain

Io was a cow despised
watched by a creature
with one hundred eyes

the lawn is made
a land of gnomes
mushrooms grow
in garden homes

where are
all these things indeed?
they are in books

just look and read!!!

I'm very fortunate to have read
many fantasy books as a child

There is one I highly recommend
A Wrinkle in Time
by Madeliene L'Engle

Thanks to Joe Cole for the inspiration

We are on this
Colossal crystal ball
Holds secrets
Of this universe
Its origin unknown
Maybe it
Carried life forms
From all planets
Multiple universes
A microscopic replica
Of the macroscopic universe
Secret origins
Our minds unable to investigate
Visions not perceptive
Lacks the depth
Cannot read from the crystal ball
History is concealed
At its core
Forces which created this
Was aware not to reveal much
The crystal ball narrates
In its mystical waves
Only for the select few
In harmony, can decipher
The mystery of the crystal ball
Life will continue

No marble stare as cold as ice
Can be found inside your gaze
For it is there that heart's desire burns twice
And your eyes set me ablaze

Hazel hues of wanton need
Make my cheeks flush crimson red
And make my deepest parts take heed
As you lead my love to bed
❤❤
You see me as a vision
An angel of your very own
Through a tarnished crooked halo
A pair of horns has grown
❤❤❤
Still, you see in me perfection
In fact, I am your missing piece
And I pray with everything I am
That your love will never cease

Replenish the soul in limpid waters,
Shinning radiant from the deep abyss.
Surrounded by nymphs, Zeus’s fine daughters,
A feeling of love, a feeling of bliss.
Supple bodies splash about in the pool,
Limbs elongated, the mind sedated,
Bathing in the shimmering waters cool.
Twang of heart strings, completely elated.
Drenched in the sunshine, drenched in the moonlight.
Playfully frolicking throughout all time.
And drinking down the nectar of delight,
Sampling the citrus fruits, lemon and lime.
The soul is satisfied, the soul is strong.
And justly endeavouring to belong.
