Come with me woman.
I can sense your fear,
But no need to be afraid,
I will transform your monochrome world,
Into colours of every shade.

You can trust me woman,
Yes, I know, tis hard,
Trust, a special gift to give,
I will wrap your trust in a loving embrace,
Show you how to live.

Please, care for me woman,
Hold me in your arms,
I will hold you so tight,
You won’t want the cuddling to ever stop,
Loving deep into the night.

Just love me woman,
Deep in your heart,
You can feel, I love you,
I will fly so high with your precious soul,
In summer skies of blue.

Please be my woman,
I truly am all yours,
I will share all I know,
Our days filled with laughter and smiles,
Tis seeds of love we sow.

Have faith in me woman,
Taste me in dreams,
You are my cherished lover,
And if you accept me, and all that I am,
I’ll never want another.

The first poem I wrote in 2015. A bright start.

From every docile rose petal
to the sturdy bark of the tree
From every rolling green meadow
to the wondrous and restless sea
I am the world
and the world is me

From every barren forest
to the city blanketed by smog
From every oil-tainted ocean
to every abandoned industrial cog
I am the earth
and the earth is me

From every blood stained uniform
to the bullet-ridden bookbag
From every obliterated home
to every desiccated flag
I am the world
and the world is me

From every line of B’reshit
to every Ramadan Feast
From the hymns in the West
to mediation in the East
I am the earth
and the earth is me

From every stolen breath
to every broken heart
From every sharp word spoken
to all of our falling apart
From the joyful triumph
To the shamming defeat
I am the earth
and the earth is We.

You're the sky
you're the moon
you're everything people take in
that takes their breath away.
The moment of pure bliss
and peace,
is everything you make them feel.
Your laughter is star dust,
it twinkles and shines bright
in any room you're in
And leaves behind a trail
for them to admire.
There is a universe inside
There is more to you
that we all see
that you may never know.
But I pray
one day
you do.

words:
a poets kiss

water:
to wet your
                     tongue
throat
               lips

tell me this:

which set of words
arranged in which way
would send me in the direction
of your heart, hands, head, just ahead?

which tone of voice...

soothes you into sleep
to awaken the greatest dreams?

or shakes you into daybreak
to my face, smiling, you inside?

which tone would I need
to hone enough of a melody that will keep you near?

and which would I need to move you closer
so that you would be right here?

What could I hear
in the deep
dark marks
of your scars?

What could I learn
as we drink
walking
talking
playing
in bars?

What more would spill
from you, if, instead of
ingesting toxins...
we just keep talking //
instead in daylight
through forests
up mountains
down river
up stream
I bet you'd beam!

I say it all as if I know you, but I honestly don't know a thing.

Every poem is precious
Words carry the
Deepest emotions
Of our heart
Experiences, soul stirring
Makes one restless
Until those feelings are
Expressed on blank paper
Absorbing the impact
Of those strong emotions
Poet holding the pen
Feeling the ink’s undercurrent
Every moment
Getting drawn in by the force
To let the words out
Thus, poetry is birthed
Much turmoil and passion
Encapsulates every poetry
Finally, we see the order of words
In the form of poetry
And the soul of poetry
Sketched with conviction
Spreading the relevant message

Gentle in these halls of time
Soft images to reminisce,
Soft memories so clandestine
Of ruby, red sweet lips to kiss.
Reminisce within your smile
That incandescent way you had,
The laughter in a bubbling stream
Of light and shadow playing sad.
Softness of your auburn hair
Sparkle in your flashing eyes
Green to turquoise, fathoms deep
Causing me, again, surprise.
Love so fresh, so new, so pure
To overburden such as I
With expectation's cold collapse
That one, so beautiful, did cry.

When you left the singing died
Pastel colour turned to grey,
Deep inside I turned to stone
As reminiscence slid away.

Ruby red, we turned to stone
As reminiscence bled the day.

When incandescent, young love abruptly ends,,,the fallout lasts a lifetime.

Caught between the mesh of rays
Light plays with the life’s existence
Oscillating between dawn, twilight and night
Etching out the horizon of life
Intrinsic influence on all the souls
This celestial space is swathed in new light
From the unknown origin, its journey
Cradles every life with equal benevolence
Kindles hope in every heart
Rays of light travels deeper into us
It heralds the beauty of every being here
Touches us with nimble rays
It’s an eternal repetition of the charmed circle

may your penship be worthy
may your heart be bold
may the parchment that beckons
be edged with pure gold.

may your sails be caught
by a breeze off the sea
may the coasts where you sail
be nations free.

may your mast be lofty
a pen full of might
may your skies be scarlet
only at night

may your stars be bright
as you sail where you will
may ink flow like a river
from an angel's quill.

may dimensions make music
may your muse scream
may you dream your life

may you live your dream.

My whispers sketch
An indelible picture
On your heart
Compared to words
The soft undertones
Are like lilting music
At the background
When the painter
Is at work
His favorite canvas
To be filled with colors
Inspiring music
Emanating from souls
At the same frequency
Feelings dipped in
The exotic aroma
An exalted saga
Is being scripted
With a dramatic ******

The trees stand stark and bare
Against winters lead grey sky
The snow lays cold and deep
And the earth asleep doth lie
No small birds sing, no little things
Move across the land
The earth in hibernation, a long sleep
As winter makes her stand
I awake one morn in the early dawn
And warmth has come once more
A small bird sings a green leaf springs
From natures open door
Once again the earth awakes and life begins anew
And the bitter cold of winter
Has vanished like the dew
I first posted this a couple of years ago but waking to a dusting of snow this morning I thought I'd repost it
