Lonesome evening star,
Above millions of neon sparks,
Illusions in time.

Here i now sit beside the river
Awake yet in a deep sleep however
For i am swallowed down by this beautiful mirror

How it opened its mouth and i fell in, down, straight through, untill i saw you
Without a future, without memories
You sweetest creature of my fantasies
Walking like a dancer dangerously

Awake yet wet and in pain
For i am swallowed down by this invisible rain
Unheard comforter that willfuly has to lie
For the river reflects my buried will to die

then on   the sand   walking together
barefeet  a step  whereever
we wanted to wander
hand in hand a shell
picked up
listened to
barely clothed
baked in the sun
quiet listening
to the waves crash
the shell echo
what a tender sweet summer
recall
you looked    then    at me
the sun behind you
my eyes glimpsed
eternity
as we walked
closer to the surf
hand
in hand
The lighthouse stands tall
A warning for all
It shines so bright
It's precious beacon of light

Guiding the wary back to shore
Many voyages gone before
All safely now return
As long as oil in lantern burn

Soft cone through the night
Giving life preserving sight
Like a gentle outstretched hand
Leading sailors back to land

Oh holy spirit of my God
With still voice you gently ****
Bringing those who wayward roam
Leading the lost back to home

So let the light of the spirit shine
And touch this wayward heart of mine
May I heed the warning sign
And be guided home in time

I listen to that great darkness
watching for burning ships
their bows bearing women
and the black prows are coming
plowing the mist into water
as the wind lifts up the bowsprits
leaving a wake I want to be
left alone with night after night
like a sleeping knife that runs
deep through the belly
between the thighs of dreams.

I look up
From the bottom of the ocean
For I sunk a long,
Long time ago.
I see the sparkling surface.
I can almost feel the warmth of the sun
Creating those magnificent
Waves of light above me.
Almost.
Every time I kick off
From the sandy, dark bottom
I simply sink back again.
I'm tied to the seaweed;
Tangled helplessly.
So I struggle helplessly.

You shouldn't dive this
Deep.
For you will sink, too.
It would be nice to have
A bit of your company,
But you still deserve to be
Free.
So it's okay.
I'll watch you float
In the waves above me.
I'll watch you be happy.
I'll watch you soon swim
Back to the bright, crowded shore.
I'll stay here and hope.
But I can't help but wonder-

What is a prisoner supposed to hope for?
It gets lonely down here

bones
There was an old world
that turned on it's head,

and turned out it’s pockets
and shook out the dead,

and shook off the living
and all of their stuff

til' all there was left
it considered enough,

and all there was left
was a world upsidedown,

and wind and whatever
had roots in the ground,

and fish with a warning
to stay where they be,

down under the waves
of the shookabout sea.

Beached whales lie silent
Demands met
No air left to heat up
Mouths like clockwork
Close up
The chattering of teeth
Replaced by the distant
Rumble and thunder of waves
Biting the shore.

Stiff backs
And fragile legs
Hair thinning
Faces melting
Into days and days
                              And days and days

A countdown timer
A bomb waiting to implode
A heartbeat missed in the night
And back to silence.
