a place for everything
and everything has its place

we met within the hurricane
and the hurricane rearranged

all we thought permanent
blew away complacency

a place for everything
and everything has its place.

your beating
loving heart

is heard
in your songs

dearest poets.
never in vain

never ever
lost.

Hyperactive all my senses
I can't shut my hunger off
I want to love all the women
I grow weary of battles lost

In sweet sunshine
I come alive
I run 'til out of breath
My heart beats wild
Mile after mile
Until there's nothing left

Laying down
I dream forever
Of a heart that beats
Like mine
Beneath dark skies
Here I lie
In the calamity
Of my rhymes

“He’s just trying
To
Get in
Your pants.”

“He’s just going to use you.”

“He’s only your friend
Because
He’s going to try and have *** with
You.”

“He’s a bad influence.”

“He’s got no redeeming qualities.”

But he,
He is the one sitting with me tonight.
He was the one to hug me tight
And dry my tears.
Not any of you.
Some people notice autumn
by the flowers dying down

Some people notice autumn
by flocks of birds flying 'round

Some people notice autumn
from the chill in the air

Some people notice autumn
when the trees become bare

Some people notice autumn
when leaves change colours on trees

Some people notice autumn
when their bodies begin to freeze

all i want from this world
is to love the people in it
and to be loved sometimes
it doesn't have to be beautiful people
or a pure love
i'll take the messy, ugly kind
one that will match mine

The sky is
A graveyard of stars

And I remark
Something so tragically beautiful

Just like fireworks of art
From here to the nearest star

And I wish
I could lay awake
In the night

With you
And our lingering hearts

And tell you all about a tragedy
Called life
Her face is like a poem
Her heart a willow tree
Bending softly in the moonglow
Beating always for me
She’s the bell in my distance
The hearth at home
With me everywhere
Even when I’m alone
In the desert she is water
She’s the forest and the trees
Everything she is to me
Everything
