These predictions are made
bright machines making machines
without mention however
of Consciousness
within which
and Of which
all intelligence
is made..
A fine-tuned duality
with a remaining
desire for fulfillment
lingering despite this
Newtonian advance...

Starting
with the empty page
whiteness welcomes
and frightens
awaiting that first word..
When it arrives
we ask
to what does it point..?
and
where does it stand
between self and Self..?
These questions
result in a fire
and the word
dissolves
in the flame...

The search for answers
to tragedies deemed
newly normal  routine..
Violence in our days
in our neighborhoods
with questions arising:
terrorism?
guns?
mental health?
Questions deal with
exceptions to what
real reality is
assumed to be
in sheltered lives..
A return is sought
to simpler days
happier headlines..
Perhaps
we need look differently
examine our looking
how we perceive
the reality we
are so sure is real..
In our looking
separation is obvious
apparent to all
no need to question
this solid reality..
Alas,our answer hides
ancient wisdom
pointing to a
persistent mirage...!

On this Thanksgiving Day
tables are filled with
what are called
blessings of enough..
Yet those fillings
suggest and remind
that there are tables
without enough..
And in truth
all tables filled
however filled
if standing alone
indulged
out of Context
will never be
Enough...

Our foregrounds in life
seem so dominant..
Death and hardness
with fleeting joys
fill our senses
sadden our days..
Questions arise on
our identities amid
those foregrounds of
ill news and separation..

Our searches for answers
seem as unfruitful
weary minds need rest..
As we search in shadows
a glimpse of background
a touch of light..
Forgotten once
but now remembered
this moment of grace..

We are filled and become
at last acquainted with
an infinite expanse
this our true Self..
Then to turn again
to the foreground
so foreboding before..
Now shining in peace
beauty and happiness
bringing our tears of
Gratitude...

Quantum Awareness
lurks behind words of
General Relativity
and arises in Question:
What is aware
of this warping of fabric..?
Is Awareness warping itself
with our experience here
as gravity and objects
and time and space..?
Extreme warping
our minds name as
black holes
in which gravity
with its objects
time and space
these cognitions of mind
dissolve into the
flames of Now...
Our recognition at last
of our real Self:
Happiness and Peace
named here as
Quantum Awareness...

We seem to all be waiting
we are not so happy
with this time and place
and so wanderlust rises
and we set out to discover
a place of happiness..
This is how our days are spent
becoming that which we
now are not..
Sometimes becoming is
simply waiting
we wait for a coming
improving what is now..
Becoming begets pain
with temporary reliefs
along these paths..
We are waiting
for a whisper:
Simply Be...

Step by step
science seems to be
reaching or pointing
to a new science
a quantum reality
in which time itself
the thought of time
as only a thought
a simple vibration
experienced only in
a spontaneous Now...

The reality
of who we are resides
in this word..
It may seem as loneliness
an ungrounding of roots
frightening perhaps..
Or an unchaining from the
hold of a place
a dislodging into a
space-like fullness
a non-local experience
of real freedom...

Noah's eyes were not clear
but clearer than most..
A cleansing ensued
for those forty days..
Perceptions shifted
with new clarity
and the rainbow
with an array of colors
announced the multitude
of variation and vibration
made of consciousness..
In an awakening
destined for repetition
in graceful moments...

The wish for power
unfolding in this
arena of words..
A search for phrases
these democratic mirrors
reflections of who we are
or think we are
coloring now this stage..
Separate selves
arrayed in conflict
firing flames of ego..
Egos of persuasion
desperate to persuade
that on wider stages
we will prevail...

still among bounteous green
death inching its way
these precursors of falling
of those masses remaining..
In death is beauty
our recognition of
the autumn glow
underlying death of
what appears and appears...

There are levels
and our ego"s desire
to occupy each and all..
Awakening to grace
welcomes ego's reach
but as the moth's fire
attraction
dooms the ego's search
with a burning
and a realization
of its illusion of
independence..!

Wishing for breakfast
before ascending
on high pass road..
Need for nourishing
alertness on winding curves..
The restaurant appeared
in a sudden way..
Anticipating
happiness in satiation..
Then during breakfast
a realization
of happiness fulfilled
but only for this moment..
Temporary
not to be held
but a portion and pointing
to that happiness
Permanent

Might we see as common

in that new place

ego and separation
in our collective lifetime..

These are all vibrations
living now in our
momentary Awareness..
Another Eden experience
expressing colorful duality..
Rebellion and Independence
shining when known
as Awareness alone...!

Hospitality as open space
allowing what is here now
That open space is consciousness
it is grace
and knowing this we see
that the boundaries and lines
are as waves in the ocean
all Hospitality...!

may be a gift
when it reminds
as gently as possible (!)
of our nondual reality
in which the adversity
is submerged
and in which
it gently dissolves...

the titled rumble with birds chirping..
The cat's interest aroused
by a bird's arrival
and eased by departure..
Pink August blossoms
criss-crossed by bees..
Inner sensing
of what appears to be external..
Space of Awareness alive with
movement and color and sound..

Awareness...

from present experience
from this task
from this enjoyment

We introduce suffering
a dualistic search
with expectation of
real happiness ahead..
Suffering arrives as
becoming becoming
becomes prime..
A new way station
up ahead and
the place of
new suffering
unless...

Retaining dual visions
culture's philosophy
overlooks simplicity
and the power of each of us
to know that we know..
Know that we know
before the cultural blanket
tells us that knowing
requires what is known..
So we ask ourselves
if we know only ourselves
Here and Now..?
Is the I Am of scripture
our most rooted
living experience..?
Is this the secret
best kept by the
centuries..?

Here's to the silence

white canvas and blank screen..
These metaphors
celebrate no-thing
before creation begins..
Expressing luminosity
infinite and eternal
and importantly
our true Self..
But very soon
distractions burgeon
we feel and think
as one separate..

to That which
we never left is
the hidden route
to our Peace
and Happiness...

The excitement surged
when vast distances
were seen to dissolve..
A promise of what
was assumed as new
knowledge
filled finite minds..
Let's not diminish
this accomplishment
and expectation but
only ask:
What might be
discovered but some
variations of linearity
leaving our real longings
back on the
launch pad...

Teachers of the spirit
advise scant minimum
of words to
approach more closely
the real truth..
Word and sentence
divide contemplation
subject and object dualisms
splits and names
mind and ego
a bucket of worms..
But we must
speak and teach
make concession to ego
to cleanse visions
climb from the pit..
Silence remains
encloses all separation
and waits to be found
with assist from those
words...

Forgiveness..
is it most simply
a recognition
an instant insight
that duality cloaks
our true nature
allowing the ego
to ride in strength
stepping on toes
often unnoticed..
and therein lies
illusory Satan's joy
and the seeds of
Forgiveness...

The human heart
in metaphoric exclamation
teaches of presence
totality and wholeness
of Consciousness..
Each beating heart
stands as vibration
made simply of What is
infinite and transparent
joyful and frightening..
This is the true identity
of each of us..
Vibrations
as perceiving experience
appear as the
seeming and separate
mind body and universe..!

to find the peace
and the happiness

in all the
wrong

Our troubles now
stem from the
stuck and static
life of our many
polar contentions..
Meanwhile the truth
is found in motion:
Separation and
Consciousness
in continuing swirl..
A moment's realizing
Consciousness
seen as Separate
or
Separate
seen as Consciousness
and at last:
Separation shines
only as
Consciousness...

On this day's
devotion to those
dying on foreign fields
we pause to remember
war's separations
estrangements from Self..
So the remembering
most useful today
is our common connection
with those who have passed
and those passing
in ignore-ance
of each our one Self...

A swirling darkness
captures and holds
our paths in time
constant changes
our senses perceive
but on occasion
time stands still
time enlarges and
a new substance
of being arrives
containing the path
the darkness
and time
no..not containing
the new substance
is all...

A cultural choice
to stay on a searching path
tightly anchored in time..
Composing each morning
a day of schedules
no other choice it seems..
Not knowing these habits
are to reject the Now..
A brief contemplation
might reveal a
reality brand new:
experience of Now
floods time and schedules
calms the morning
searches are closed
real work is done...

This polarity in play
is the pathway of life..
Placed in polarity
life is lived
on Being's edge..
Life surges in youth
our edge we find..
Edge is becoming
and we forget
edge also Being
does edge.!
Now to remember
when suffering prompts
and Being light floods..
Hence our discovery:
becoming is only
vibrating Being
and we are a
child once more...

More than a mystery of nature
these severe compressions show us
the extremes of the seeming separate self
of the ego triumphant..
Not separate though but as we
embedded in consciousness whole..
The black hole waiting for evaporation
and  new awakening
as a wave in the ocean
as we in our longing
find Real composition...

With respect we can notice
research locating consciousness
here close by within our brain..
Diligence has located networks of
solid character in our headspace..
These precisions persuade some that
research paths are leading to the
illusive doorway of truth..
In the meantime such persuasions
rise to obscure the doorway
used by some to gain glimpses
of consciousness not limited..
Yet might this network news
reporting of unified smallness
on a day quite soon
point to the light
leaking through that
doorway...

Laniakea
a late perception..Hawaiian immense heaven
a boundary moving outward with doubt that
this is the end limitation..
And in a contracting mood the Great Attractor
an inward pull and seeming declaration of
our locality our mortality..
Outward and inward
might we transcend this dualism
and experience the vibration
infinite and without locality
our true SELF...
