You fascinate
I fantasise
all true with
some lies
for
decoration.

I head in your direction
turn the light into a night
and
time blinks off and on.

I have dreamt your kiss
attempted this
to hold you to my heart.

Then again to fascinate
to wait
to be.

Dark rose—
Your voice so plaintive,
Is like a siren to me
And your candlelit hair,
Is dire, scarlet, I see—
Eyes so vast and blue even
Oceans, in sun, are blushing,
Hushing in shy tidal foams
And mist, how I live to drown
In those depths, to hear—
Light, so dear as it gathers,
To feel your lovely petals
Of rosy skin in after dream,
To know, there is no one
But you and I and the moon
And the sky and forever rest.
It was only too soon I knew,
How love in bliss could sting,
When your sad eyes looked
Westward to another,
I bare your thorns.

I'll hold your hand
And won't let go
I want you to know
How I love you so

You make me smile
And I always blush
I just can't help it
You stir my thoughts up.
Soon I'll see you.

This
is what the brave
'New World'
is all about

Trump clumps in
and
Obama tramps out

not looking forward
but
backward

sometimes so glad that
I'm a coward and can cower
in some corner cupboard.

At some future date when I
can relate to these current
events
I might begin to understand
how the land of the free
tied itself up
in knots.

I stayed up so late just to re-read
the things we talked about,
And laughed throughout
Each funny line you'd write.

To see your name in a blur
on my phone's screen,
It's not so bad to me.

to be able to pretend
you were laying right next to me,
I stayed up so late.
I miss you at night time husband.

The Dedpoet
All the silence does not mean
You are alone,
It is the world waiting for you
To listen;
And in the darkness you are
Found by the light
Of your hope.

And in the tears of your
Pain you are born,
There you become stronger
And it creates order.

Pick up your flesh as your spirit
Lifts,
And speak your happiness
As if the tip of your tongue
Was the mountain's peak
Speaking at the sky,
The burden is a caged bird
And only the conscious can set
It free.
And sing to yourself so that
You know you are never alone
In your body.

Know that your crazy is beautiful
Because it makes you YOU,
Wear your skin like
Your cozy blanket and cuddle
In the warmth of yourself.
     You are not broken,
But scattered like the night
With pieces like stars shining,
    Open your pain and yourself
To the wound of the world and heal
Whatever you choose.

it's ok
The only progression that's been catapulted is hate
My eyes are as tired but my soul can't rest,
More than half of my country is represented by someone with beliefs from times more repressed
This is not what I want to be represented by.

My stomach is twisted and I need explanations.
This isn't love. This is fear. This solves nothing.
The air around me is too thick to breathe,
And I'm disgusted by this celebration around me.
You stand for someone who openly promotes violence.

This is not what I stand for.

All the temporary aloneness
Doesn't feel so alone now.
The sickening darkness
Seems enchanting.
Curling into a ball
Then being free.
All down to you
Down to me.
