In a blink of an eye I lost you.
Just like that.
And I no longer knew what to do
when all I did when I woke up
was to look at you.

Lunar
paint skies dark as ink
where the moonlight is at its peak
solace, what i seek
my first published haiku! i really love the night.
I always look forward to moments at supper
When we savor mama’s delicacies lacquered in pepper
Whilst listening to your narrations of fables
Cast in antiquity, of beings and their hustles.
Your razor sharp wit always on beck and call
To solve all thorny issues no matter how small.
Spotting an imperfection so perfect
To think you circumspect
Would be a costly error
Needless to say you still champion the era
Of pre-digital awareness
Yet you harness
Technology with mind boggling dexterity.
No wonder you possess an unmatched temerity.
This poetic piece
an afterthought after realization that I've
several poetic pieces of mama and not even one of papa.
This one is to 'knock papa out"....:-)

Blank D
One after another
I fell deep
Unwillingly
Deep into the zone
Each and every time
I get back up again
Leaving me with scars
Reminding me of the past
Well this time I fell again
Different time
Different feel
Get this feeling out of my chest
"It hurts but I'm fine"
"I pray for their happiness"
that's not true!
I know.
Helen, thy beauty is to me
Like those Nicean barks of yore,
That gently, o’er a perfumed sea,
  The weary, wayworn wanderer bore
  To his own native shore.

On desperate seas long wont to roam,
Thy hyacinth hair, thy classic face,
Thy Naiad airs have brought me home
To the glory that was Greece,
To the grandeur that was Rome.

Lo! in yon brilliant window niche,
How statue-like I see thee stand,
The agate lamp within thy hand!
Ah, Psyche, from the regions which
  Are Holy Land!
