Looking out the window, see,
Things that just won’t let me live.
Eyes are staring back at me,
Searching for what’s meant to be.
I see hope, following disaster,
Many questions left unanswered.
Not as many as the thoughts,
That are dragging down the hope.
All and all, I see the sunshine…
Looking further, there’s the gold mine
Calling up to dig and slave,
I am fighting not to break.
To this need, the sweet seduction
Even though it’ll bring destruction,
Of my views and of my soul,
Of what’s left for me to know.
Waking up, there’s a reflection.
No more people, no more questions,
Just two eyes that look inside,
Searching what I try to hide.
