Photos Speak; Photos don't think
What they say ain't what you think
A Photo's worth a thousand words, init?
Yet it's dumb as a Sheep's bleat

A Photo never confuses itself of its beauty
Of all the 1000 words, none'as thought by it
How do you Speak? How do you think?
How do you picture your self's unspoken worth?

How many words are you really worth?
If I was a still image what would you see?

Beyond the impression i leave you with
May i paint your mind with words i speak

There's no better Picture of you
Than the one you create of you
Camera lenses, naked or glassed eyes
Don't see what you see of you
How you see the whole of you
is made a better painting only by you
If you were a painting on your wall
What would be your first words of you
A Picture is worth a thousand words
A painting is worth a million words
You are worth more than any words
Many words can't truly paint you
Less you Speak how you feel of you
and paint you in all those many feelings

My words of you are
**You are the Best of You

it hurts because it matters
it hurts because I care
even when out love shatters
I will always be there

I cry because I’m broken
I cry because you left
by you my heart was stolen
this I do confess

I smile at the memories
I smile when you are near
but now I need new remedies
‘cause you're no longer here

I write to fix my problems
I write to get away
and even though I’ve fallen
I know I will someday be okay

you’ll hurt because you miss me
you’ll hurt because I moved on
you regret it,  this I guarantee
‘cause the feelings are forever gone

you’ll write to say you’re sorry
you’ll write to get me back
these days you seem so weary
for happiness you now lack

Loved a man
Danced countless nights between sheets
Drenched in the sweat from the lust we made
Gave years
Gave life
Took trust
Paid with my soul
I loved this man
Now I don't know who he is
Giving what was once sacred away so freely
Now she and she and her knows my lust
My pleasure my pain my love
And all I have left with him is years....
I've paid enough

Ego
We see the infinite vast expanse of my ego.
.
The midsummer sun, still in his youth, taunts the seemingly never ending streams of black tar I have gathered over the years.
.
The perfect ingredients for a good mirage!
.
Through this optical illusion, we see everything.
.
We see the choices I made.
.
We see the People I abandoned.
.
We see the mistakes I regret.
.
Most importantly, we see me.
.
Me and my ego, we have things in common.
.
We bring out the best in each other.
.
And we are not quitters.
.
.
“Today, we shall fight as equals and fate shall decide”
.
We roared at each other and his hands came up like claws.
.
Alas! Time has come again for both of us!
.
It was for this moment I have been preparing my youth.
.
But I have no weapon capable of slaying such a monster.
.
.
I am the monster.
From the way you act I almost believed I was wrong
I had to remember my own pain just to move on
It made no sense to stay since I could never fully lift your mood
You need a super man to save you and I'm a regular dude
You need that constant affection and reassurance you're fine
I couldn't give you everything but I could dedicate some time
It's kinda funny, sometimes just to smile I gotta medicate my mind
Or cry my eyes out before I retrace these old lines
I know my type of healing temporary and I do it all in vain
But you could never really judge or stop me cause you do the same
I like the fact that now you "hate" me, it's just how I predicted
That let's me know you might of loved me or was at least addicted
We both know I'm not the source of all your grief and pain
But because I got love for you I'm willing to take that blame
I'm willing to take the mean mugs and blank stares
I was taught "people shouldn't cry over what ain't theirs"
You too free to be mine and my heart belongs to another
We should of fallen apart before we fell in love with each other
Who knows, years down the road this could come back to play
I picture you there looking like you ain't aged a day
I make you laugh , you make me smile , we get nostalgia
We both grown now so them *******, you can come out of
We don't gotta make love, if you still ain't ready yet
Oh wait you back to ******, so **** may be all you get
You the type to get hurt and go to sleeping in
You like the girls from the songs who "Never trust again"
So if our paths cross down the road once more
Like I go out for a walk and end up at your door
Or you singing out your heart and I see you on tour
Or while I'm working at a bar I spot you on the dance floor
Just gaze into my eyes and I'll get lost in yours.
when the perennial essential question I proposed,
a temperature taking surely,
a simple request re loving me, yes

it was a dueling pistol shot,
a returning, pressing, single firing
interrogatory of a burr of a bullet
"how"

she stood in weak opposition

she demurred, evaded, jooked,
pre-tensing with a faint, a feint,
a desperately disguised,
claiming of the fifth,
a refusal to self-incriminate,
with a childlike repetition
 "unsure..."

but was she ever,
ever sure,
ever knowledgeable

for the poem was
"of the people, by the people, for the people,"

we, me, she,
of course, being "the people"
-
that our love
"shall not perish from the earth..."

this particular poem,
this particular address,
was about
the struggle to maintain
our union
-
"our unfinished task"

it was the
first shot and the
parting shot

it was the
warning shot,
mesmerizing,
metastasizing
into a
death shot

simultaneously

the poem was,
this poem

the acknowledgment,
of the beginning
of the
perhaps epilogue,
maybe even the commencement
of a eulogy

a  breathewell,
a fare-thee-well of this,
as well,
one of his
happiest guises
