Love you

We say 'I love you'
so often,
so casually.
We say it in text messages,
we say it laughingly
or between the lines
of a conversation.
Sometimes because
we have to,
sometimes because
we want to,
sometimes even
when we don't.
But I love you.
I love you often,
but not
casually.
I love you always.
Honestly,
everlastingly
love you.
With every heartbeat,
even in the spaces
between.
love
you

If my words cannot convince you,
you will feel it in my touch.

But never doubt I love"

Tremble

Tremble, my darling, I tremble for you
My bones, white and brittle, they tremble too
This life is too short for you to be true
So tremble, you say, and tremble I do.

Soft winged doves fly quick on the wind
But Darling I'm sure- they tremble too.
The mountains seem strong, stronger than sin
But Darling I know- that tremble they do.

In short, dearest Darling, when you have long gone
The world out in space will tremble for you

salad burrito
dust, crumbs, lint, and dirt
bacteria scattered from the floor,
to the bed because mine and my dogs feet aren't stitched
to socks or slippers
dust, crumbs, lint and dirt
now on my sheets and pillow
use to it now, i haven't washed anything
with soap in thirty seven days,
the world we knew as children
was happiness and care free
dog seems to still think it,
so why not give it a try

Children picking up our bones
Will never know that these were once
As quick as foxes on the hill;

And that in autumn, when the grapes
Made sharp air sharper by their smell
These had a being, breathing frost;

And least will guess that with our bones
We left much more, left what still is
The look of things, left what we felt

At what we saw. The spring clouds blow
Above the shuttered mansion house,
Beyond our gate and the windy sky

Cries out a literate despair.
We knew for long the mansion's look
And what we said of it became

A part of what it is ... Children,
Still weaving budded aureoles,
Will speak our speech and never know,

Will say of the mansion that it seems
As if he that lived there left behind
A spirit storming in blank walls,

A ***** house in a gutted world,
A tatter of shadows peaked to white,
Smeared with the gold of the opulent sun.

Living through this tragedy
All because of you
Understanding what you've done to me
Is almost impossible
A joke
And I trusted you.

graves upon graves
lie within these pools
of black blood rising to overcome
to swallow the chains
and binds
while blind eyes stare blankly
into the ravenous face of death
bewarethese mortal coils that tie
but soon are released to emptiness
and the further emaciation of
tumescent lips
drops of sweet wine
spatter
on the pallid visage of
life eternal

It was a nice crisp summer afternoon.
Snow will come and go in a heavy swarm.
Soon we will see the big round shiny moon.
The summer was plentiful, nice, and warm.

Since forever, time will always pass by.
For as long as we’ve known, it comes and goes.
Although some live, many will also die.
Throughout life we make enemies and foes.

But now the hour-glass of time is up.
It has finally come to a big end.
You now have a very large empty cup.
I’m sorry to tell you this, my dear friend.

It may see as if time is everywhere,
Even if it is very hard to bear.

Watch as you fall from grace.
Let him lie your smurk clear off your face,
As you relentlessly cling to false embrace.
Is it not working out?

You had your chance for love,
But your taste untrue.
I should have foreseen this life being for you.
So enjoy your life of black and blues.
I won't be around.

Choke on your sin.
I've swallowed it all.
Some of these were written in a drunken stupor on bar room napkins.  a great friend once told me, "Write drunk...edit sober."  I haven't been sober long enough to begin editing.  Partially to blame on my friends stretching my birthday celebration into a week long party.
