In between the day we met
we shared smiles, we shared tears
There were lots good times baby
That we had over the years

In between our fighting
We were both on the same side
But the rift that formed between us
Is now just too **** wide

In between the In betweens
Is where the memories lie
In between the In betweens
Is where love goes to die
In between the In betweens
was something....
something we will never have again
In between the In betweens
was magic....
Magic can't take us back from now to then

In between our arguments
We really had a time
We made the best of it
We were partners in crime

In between the excuses
We hid a lot of hurt
Once we said I Love You
At the end...nary a word

In between the In betweens
Is where the memories lie
In between the In betweens
Is where love goes to die
In between the In betweens
was something....
something we will never have again
In between the In betweens
was magic....
Magic can't take us back from now to then

Cherish all the in betweens
For that's where true love lies
But, beware of all the in betweens
For it's where love also dies

I was asked to write of a person I know
and turn it into poetry.
I could only think of you
no one else came to mind.
And the only words
that I could think to say was.
Beautiful.
No matter how hard I tried
all the comparisons I could make about you
just turned into a list
of why I think you’re beautiful.
In every way imaginable.
Every tiny little detail about you
that makes me love you even more.
But then I remembered
that time long ago
when I used to notice
more and more little things
everyday of my life.
But now that time’s been gone for years.
Now I only see you in passing glances.
Only for a second or two.
Only every once in awhile.
Yet still my heart pounds like nothing else
and my hands shake.
More than when my life is in danger.
Just at the sight of you.
I thought I had found someone I loved
I thought that I had moved on.
But then you reminded me
just what it feels like
to really love someone.
You reminded me that
there is nothing like the feeling.
But I don’t want to be with you
for you will never love me again.
If you ever did at all.
So I will search for another
whom I can love
but who
will return the feeling.

today a friend
reminded me,
a quote by
Elbert Hubbard,
"love grows by giving.
the love we give away
is the only love we keep.
the only way to retain love
is to give it away."

indeed,
so let it be
write the inscription
let my epitaph read,
"lived fully...
gave plenty
loved gently
died empty."

~

*and let the post script read...

"yes, his whisky ran dry
as he lived so he died."

To me you were the stars.
Illuminating my world.
But to you I was a satellite.
Just passing by.

If that's what I am.
What you will me to be.
Let me soar into your world.
I the satellite, Your beacon,
Have come back around to show you.
I'll be more than what you could ever fathom.
Inspired by a variety of poems.

I want you to be mine, only mine
For there is no better way
"I own you"
"I need you"
"I Consume you"
I honour your body
With the touches that fall
From my fingers, we meld as
Flesh,
Emotion,
Tongues
Find the ****** places that meet
Pleasure upon the face, we
Wear our rings signed with love,
Gold,
Platinum,
Silver
Coated moments we signed our love,
But the picture on the mantle of another
Not that which kisses this
Wetted skin. Each moans of this
Pleasurable sin, not thinking of the
Moment one is found in the grasp
By another's eyes glancing within.
Betrayal,
Hurt,
Tears
Do fall from not only one, as rings
Now do fall. Hearts broken
Love shredded by another's sin.
Lust is a moment that
Can create either passion or **regrettable sin.

Do you see what I see
I am the news
******,
Death,
Suicide
Was It them or me
The lines are blurring
Between what was
And was is real
There is blood on my palms
Is it theirs, mine or yours
What is happening to me,
Screams of those lying on the floor
Tears,
Blood,
Fear
Fills the eyes as they no what is next,
What to expect, I whisper words
"Not spoken by my lips"
As I look a light  shines down
Am I ascending to heaven,
Then I look to my left, Televisions
Show my face in a ****** crowd.
"I made the news"
A face seen in a crowd of light,
"Freeze"
"Hand On Your Head"
I hear their words as I raise shaking hands
"I didn't do this"
"That's not what your hand says"
I glance up as a blade duck taped to
My quivering hand. blood drips off
And I see that reality is sinking in,
"Hands on your head"
As I realise everything was me,
"Last chance on you knees"
As blurred moments flood through,
"I am what I am"
"Hi mum if your watching I made the news"
As lead rains upon me, I look up and see
Light,
Fading,
Darkness,
Envelopes my sight, the last thing I hear is
My own voice
**"I made the news, I made........"
Roll up...Roll up
the show is set to start
One playing for your head
One playing for your heart

It's time for an election
To see who rules the roost
Time for your selection
Who gives the bigger boost

Matchmaker, Matchmaker
make me a match
Pick me a President
Which one to catch
Matchmaker, Matchmaker
Show me a name
It's doesn't much matter
They are all the same

Roll up, Roll up
They're all set to speak
A ten minute talk
That may take all week

Choose either party
and their rainmaker head
make promises of fairy dust
You'll get once your dead

Matchmaker, Matchmaker
Show me the one
Who will unload the bullets
But, still own the gun

Matchmaker, Matchmaker
The time is now here
To pick a new President
Please ally my fears

Roll up, Roll up
The choices are few
I'm voting for one
But, I do not know who

Roll Up, Roll Up
The show's set to start
with enameled fake smiles
I can't tell them apart

Roll Up....Roll Up...
