My body, driftwood
Remnants of a ship
That hit the wall
Hours ago
And floating
Conversations erode
Into splinters
Corpses, these words
Clutching at emotions
For one last lifesaver
To keep me alive
Drifting on the surface
In hopes to find home
She's the girl who whispers tomorrow
Leaving behind the thoughts of today
Pain, despair, heartache, and sorrow
That's where she'll leave them all lay

She's the girl whose taken misfortune
And held it tight in her hand
Hears the stories told in the shadows
Along with the whispers of men

She's the girl who breaks from the moment
Unraveling all of life's strings
Retrieving with whispers unspoken
Yesterdays left behind dreams
It's just a programme setting that we're set in,
the scenes can change,
the outcome,
never...

..and very clever

Basic.

what if...then..  ?
Gosub 50..
that's the default

language couldn't be neater
sweeter,
can't beat a
bit of binary
to add the graphics
I forgot,
because I'm getting old and it's getting harder to remember when forgetting is so easy,

where was I?
oh yes,
those days and I'm not sure anymore which days
were the days but for the life of me,
I can't remember why.

So
I wander through the landscape to escape
and suddenly it's  focused,
the now and then becomes my here and when is
where it is.
