The patchy, dense fog
May cause some distortion
But if you look hard enough
It’ll actually show you
A work of art and priceless beauty

Fog filled skyline
Trees hidden in the dark
Birds flying into the the vortex
Emerging then disappearing
Where did they go?
No shadowing casting will there be
Fog filled skyline
Is all you can barely see

It’s 6:30 am when I step outside to a dark and fog filled sky
In the distance I hear a cardinal singing away happy as can be
Something came over me
As there was no other noise but myself and the calming singing of the cardinal
I stood there for a moment and took it all in
As chaotic as the world is right now, in that moment, I felt safe and sound
Take this time to reflect on the little things that we have let go of during this time
It may have been nothing but to me I felt the cardinal was singing directly to me
Feeling the calmness and stress become a relief.....

Dark skies
Fog filled streets
Deer running amuck
Warm air
Rivers flowing deep
Rain sprinkling from high above
Close your eyes
Relax
Falling fast asleep

Lead the way
With footprints in the sand
I will follow you
To the oceans end

When you follow in the footsteps of someone you never said you would...

Cold air hits you like a ton of bricks
Wind howling like craziness in the mornings
Traffic speeding by the birds flying to their destination
Rain trickles down like small doses of medicine
Crisp air send shivers down your spine like the love of your partners touch
Soon the rain will turn to *******
Covering the ground like soap suds in your bathtub
Climate is changing around the world
If only people could open their eyes and change
                  For Good....

Some take for granted
The child or children that they have
Frustration level grow when they are bad
Crying at night, no sleep to be had
A demon inside the mom or dad
Rages with anger issues that no one knew they had
Taking for granted of the family they have (had)
Tossing their own flesh and blood simply because they were mad
Poisoning
Throwing
Beating
Neglect
They don’t give a ****
Yet they were blessed
Blessed to have a child at all or many children for that fact
But so many men and woman yearning for that
Those of us who can’t always ask “why?”
I am one of those who doesn’t understand why we can’t
So many children throughout the world
Hurting and dying, emotions are blurred
What about us, the ones who want it so bad
Guess we’ll never know that answer
This is the world we live in and the life we have...

I found the light
When I was in a dark place
As soon as you held me
Within your warm embrace

Standing at a fountain
A coin tucked in my hand
Pondering my thoughts
Thinking of my dreams
Breathing in the moment to where I stand
I close my eyes
Say a wish in my head
Grasp the coin a little tighter
As my wish could be said
Instead of tossing the coin
Into the waters below
I tuck it in my pocket
Carrying my wish with me
Everyday
In hopes that it would never get lost
Among the other wishes that end up at the bottom of the fountain...
Fading away...

Dive into
The fountain of youth
To find the inner child
That’s inside of you

This morning
I could not get a picture
Since I was to far away
But someone was watching over me
I feel blessed in every way
A rare chance of seeing 4 cardinals at once
Two male, two female
I can’t make this up
It’s hard to come across only one
But two see four at once
Wow that was fun
As I stand here writing this another one appears
Man I feel blessed today
Good things to come!

Deep breaths
Closing your eyes
Therapy sessions
Within yourself
Fill the void
Love, love , love
What you feel
Then you will
Be healed

Tied together between the twisted words of the harsh reality called the past
Bound together like a broken mirror glued together, yet barely holding on
Slipping through the sands of time, unable to grasp the feeling of life
Yet, somehow, your here, holding the little fragments of your journey thus far
Culminated by snapshots and still photographs imbedded in your mind
Memories, so you call them, overflowing like a river running dry
Stepping stones guiding the way, jumping further distances, come what may
Weakness grows stronger
Stronger becomes better
Trying to grasp what maybe no longer
Yet, you are you, for many reasons above
Always remember, no matter what, you are LOVED

To go unnoticed
Without the pleasure
Of your scent
Upon my body
Releasing incense, fragrance of love
Swirling blaze of fire
Miles away
Yet I’m still  not noticed
As I stand right in your way

Freezing cold
Can’t feel my toes

As we brave this blast of winter

The day turns to night
All is quite and still
As the sound of freezing rain
Hits the snow that once fell

When the sun sets
So does the day
Tomorrow is a fresh start
A new beginning of a blank page

The world stops spinning for a moment
You receive news of a friend who may not make it through the day
She was the type of person who could brighten your mood in any way
Prayers and love are sent to you
Just know we are all thinking of you
We love you lots and hope for the best
