His smile was too warm upon her lips of ice
she hid behind his summertime facade
whilst basking in her own wintry demise
it was said she gave him butterflies of love
rest assured she was rife with maggots
he fell in love with a glacial corpse
smooth as glass, he slipped from the edge
blistering her rigid edges, he was too hot...
she was too cold, a mountain made of stone
frozen to the bone, The Queen of Never Ending Winter

*and he ran, never to look back

I conversed with
Salesmen today

I was smart and witty
They hung on every
Word I spewed

My opinions where all astute
They bowed with great reverence
My attempts at levity
Were greeted with heartfelt laughter

I conversed with
Salesmen today
I was John Stewart,
Jerry Seinfeld, and Bill Clinton
I was interesting and debonair

Then I came home
To you
And I am . . . Nobody
I did talk to salesmen but the rest is just thematic not true to my life.

how did we happen
you and I
did stars align with moons
did gods use our lonely hearts
to play love's familiar tunes

did the time become right once again
fated friends to be
how did we happen
you and I
I for you
and you for me

has not our life together
been as we were found
everyday
adrift
away
love is ever homeward bound

ebb and flow
never the same
but always as it should be
how did we happen
you and I
I for you
and you for me

enlaced in passion poses
that never are the same
yet always fresh and ever new
still
two flickers from one flame

first kiss to death's final parting
neither could
nor shall I foresee
how did we happen
you and I
I for you
and you for me

*For my lover

Harrogate, TN    March 2013
There's someone else inside of me
Alone in there I hear it breathe
It's me, but a different side you see
It awakens and destroys the weak

Eyes open to the purest red
All the innocence gone its fled
Full of rebillious thoughts in my head
The old me could be gone and dead

It laughs it breaks it taunts
It takes it steals it wants
Beware of it, it haunts
Just give in to it
Tell me I am a monster
Tell me I destroy
Go ahead
I've heard it all before
I break those that get too close
Pray I don't get you too
Run while you still have a chance
I'm just **poison
My dear old friend
Who was beautiful in her way
She never knew who to depend
But then she found me and may

It was in the 4th grade when we met
Happy little kids we were
And we still are,I bet
Just want to make sure

Last saturday I was busy
While she was home,
She was breathing
Not sure if she was alone

That night was filled with tragedy
No words can explain
It was very badly
I was filled with pain

Now she is part of the stars at night,
One of the clouds in the day
Who ever killed her at the fight
I promise you .......... they will pay
This is dedicated to friend Cynthia also known as Ashely, who sadly passed away last saturday 3-9-13 R.I.P Cynthia I love you and wished we had spent more time
Charley Bob is a "walker".

He walks the roads and avenues where I live.
He doesn't appear to have a job, he just walks.....every day.
He use to walk with his zipper down
and with flacid ***** in hand proudly display himself to all who drove by,
but that embarrassed many
and they made him put his security blanket away.
Now he just grabs his crotch like the gangstas downtown.
Sorry Charley.
Every town has a "walker",
some have several.
You've seen them.
They walk the streets, lost in their own little worlds.
They look the same as they did 20 years ago.
There's the lady with nary a tooth in her head,
her ankle length skirt and her Pentecostal hairdo (PHD).
They say for 50 bucks she'll let you know why she has no teeth.
She's a "working girl walker", but she is still a "walker".
Once I was walking downtown,
and as I passed her she angrily mumbled something to me, all lips and gums,
"Muver Phucker", she said.
I don't even know her,
but she was as angry with me as if we were the best of friends.
Some "walkers" talk to themselves,
some answer themselves,
some stop and turn and scream out profundities to no-one,
or someone,
it's a matter of perspective.
It's like some shrink somewhere
gave them a prescription for their mental disorder,
walk 20 miles and see me in the morning.
Charley Bob is the best though.
I swear you can see him at 10am,
and by 5 he is still
slowly
making his way
back
from where
he went to.
I wonder what makes him turn and go home.

Charley Bob is a "walker".

Feel free to write about your "walker".
When we are ashes,
it will be too late to learn.
We can't possess earth.
