Colour Blind

I don't see the colour of your skin.

I see
the colour of your heart.

Is it dark and putrid or
is it the color of a soft and lilting tune?
Is it filled with warm tones,
or cold?
Hues of ice and snow,
or gold?

Do you give or take?
Do you love or hate?

I don't see race or faith,
I just see you-
your energy, your words, your actions.

I see you; I just simply
see you.
The news is getting to me. Let's all just love and be loved.
Every one of us deserves love and kindness. Every single one of us.

all that is known
clumped into masses
the reality perceived behind
angular strenuous bones

take the flesh, a living flesh
warm under a summer heat
and flushed with that of stipend excitement
the flesh, all perceived before

and if you strike flesh
you will eventually strike bone
if one shall study the face
or the human body
one shall study the bones
and muscles which run hidden from the eye
for the bone and muscle,
layered in masses
rule the law of perceiving
a human identity

We explore our minds
We do not talk into terms
Why we close ourselves down
While we can listen and learn?

We overthink when we issue
We say words we do not mean
Why we hurt ourselves
When we can compromise our believes?

It is not wrong to show some sympathy
Why are we afraid to lose?
Instead of standing up for ourselves
We choose to be bruised

Why we live in fear?
Letting go of the unknown
Will we ever collide as humans
Sharing compassion and healing our souls?
We all need more love and compassion! Instead of dealing with fear!

she asked me,
why I look at her so much.
the longer you stare at the sky,
the more stars you see.
