A pain so deep that it's hard to breathe
It makes happiness seem like a fragment of the imagination
Holding on to broken pieces will only make you bleed.

When will you learn to walk away
When will you earn respect from yourself
When will you see  that your more than enough.

Turbulence in my mind
Peace I cannot find
Thoughts I cannot park
Silence screams in the dark

Demented shadow rejoices
Deafening loud noises
Exhausting persistent voices
Debating impossible choices

Don't need anyone to blame
Just Need to numb my brain
Does anyone share this pain?
Does anyone feel the same?

Where has gone the lands we knew?
Of waving grass and glistening dew
All fallen to the housing plan
Devised by an educated city man
Educated!!!!
Those once green green fields and woodland tracts
Have succumbed to bulldozer blades and felling axe
No more the places where as kids we played
On those beautiful sunlit days
Now landfill sites and city dumps
Cover the places where we once ate a picnic lunch
Gone are the fields and woodland glades
Where we once spent our sun filled days
I dreamt a friendship so freeing
Lost in time and age
A friend I'll never likely have again
A friend who hardly remembers me

I wake up on a cold morning
To find my dream gone
And my friend along with it
Alone again naturally

Even though it was a dream
I will remember this friendship
A fantasy I wish was real
I'm sorry

I'm sorry
This friendship didn't last
Fantasy kept it
And I now wake with without my friend.
See you in a another time...
