They always asked,
"how do you stay so
calm through all this mess?"
and i close my eyes and shake
my head because there's storms
raging in my veins,
but i keep my calm
and bleed it out in poetry.
I sniffed a smell of your rose.
Oh, you know what?
It’s enough to thrill the bone.
Just leave a scent in the air
and pop in, take your turn
into a new buzzing world!

ring
I have a heart full of cement
Solid... Permanent
I've sang your lament over and over again
But every song has the same intent
Like something permanent.
I regret not having a patent on your scent,
Or the way your teeth are bent or broken.
Like at some point a decent person
        Had a cruel accident
                 But, against your jaw
..........A fists descent...
...To punish you..........
And forever augment that one percent of you.
I don't know the intent of the event
But, I do know you underwent some hell
To get to me, in our present
But, that doesn't matter my gent
My denouement is becoming distant
         ...you are here...
                      And there you went.
But, our two souls are water and powder
We create cement...
**Permanent
I'll miss you my baby boy

i'm not afraid of you falling out of love with me and forgetting about me
i'm afraid of you finding someone who can make you happier than i ever did
and i will just become bad memories
not even a good memory
i'm afraid of you learning to hate me
through all of the bad stuff we went through
and she can make you forget
oh she made you completely forget

But i need a day
To lay in bed
And twine toes with somebody
And stare at the ceiling

A day to talk
About nonsense
And be really heard

And laughter
I could use
Lots of that

I just need
A day

Or two or three
It's in that first line and first word
and then upon letting it
spill from our fingertips
and letting our minds drift
and our hearts dream
we can find ourselves lost
somewhere in the mists
of illustrated longing
and the seas of painted lust
and the beauty of a monsters heart
and the nightmares sewn
beneath an angels wing
and the tears collected
to print fairy tales
and it's as simple as
the song of children laughing
and as easy as
the hard falling rain of mourning
and as necessary as inhaling
is to exhaling
and it's always there in the air
to breath in and breath out
and it's good and it's bad
and it hurts and it bleeds
and its in everything
that can be beautiful
and all we have to do
is let it fall and spill
and stain and dance
from the fabric of our souls
through the rhythm of our pulse
and out into the world
from that first line
to our last breath

Silence* doesn't ****,

but oh,

how does it

deceive us.
