Pastel smudges paint the sky,
reflect on the lake in half-light.
Emerging from darkness,
frosty star flowers,
take me into deep waters,
where sad thoughts wander.
Whispers of you by the shore,
I'm waiting and waiting.

I keep telling myself
that its ok to be alone but
sometimes I find myself crying and
craving for someone to hold me

you are the reason
I don't believe in love
you're all my past that turned into memories
my chocolate
which destroyed my teeth
guess you broke me pretty well

the sounds of the cars
in this big city
my ears tingling
a cup of coffee
as I write another review
time is slowly passing
my life is slowly fading
eyes are slowly shutting
and no one notices
why would they?
I'm just another person in the crowd

Many a'night I've groaned like a wounded
Lion scaring my own shadow and
Left myself boneheaded
against the wall I dragged my feet
In ruins that wedded my grief,

Then I turned around;
could that be you soul brother Holding?
the rope so tight beneath my chin against this iroko's root,
My blood bleeding with tears,
I screamed but only my soul heard me.

But then came me that broke the shackles,
I redeemed my being!
The droplets upon my eyelids now taught me;
You were just a DREAM!

gazing at stars
when struggles with
darkness deep down
stretches the night,
I seek counsel,
searching you
amongst the brightest
of lights above.

It happens when life gets in my way,
that words in my head won't reach my hand,
they linger and fly away again,
on the soft breezes of hope and make-believe.

I never stopped making poems.
I only stopped writing them down
in the moments of silence, which have
become so scarce these days.

Tonight I've locked all windows.
I like to say that I put a pen in my hand,
but would you have believed that,
in these times of keyboards and touch screens?

So I sit here, staring at my screen and
slowly, very slowly my brain-hand coördiation
is gearing up, but it's like opening a rusty tap,
all that comes out is a bit of brownish water.

why would you come back to life
when you can rest in peace

the afterlife
is unnecessary

if messages could be conveyed through words
the world wouldn't be what it is today
so take action

this world is not made of
only what you see

I wish that

where all broken lovers go
maybe then I'd have let you go

we're all sinners
some of us just learn
to accept

we built walls
only to see them

we won battles
