The Unfamiliar Garden
I've been waiting near the gates
All the while, searching for the key
To unlock the meaning of life.
Planting seeds, but getting
No fruit bearing tree.

Peering through the gates
Waiting for my chance
I've heard the feeling is blinding
Man becomes hypnotized
Stuck in a trance.

No sense of what has come and gone.
As you look into the future
Sitting on this arid ground.
As I discovered an exuberant creature
My heart began to pound.

Have you come to take me
Through the garden of
Unknown sensations
And unfamiliar relations?

She grasped my hand
And I tasted the flavor of life
Bittersweet the sensation
The exhilaration of tasting fear
For the very first time.

Evilution
I sit, pondering
In the midst of society.
Finding comedy in what
People deem normal and reality

Driven by greed
And unnecessary vices
Forgotten this kingdom
Requires sacrifices

Gone are the morals
Insubstantial dreams
They take for granted
The simplicity life means

Watched humanities EVILution
I watch souls deteriorate
And feel saddened as they think
Money makes them great

No longer is man measured
By loyalty and true worth
No longer do we care
What happens upon exiting earth

A man's word means nothing
His promises, empty
Gone is the time
When lovers loved gently

A crime of passion
And the offspring shall suffer
Feasting on the failure's
Of another man's brother

Ordered by cardboard generals
Bombarded by corrupt media
Spoon fed lies and injustice
Choking on our own neurasthenia

Succubus
I recall meeting you,
In a dark dream.

I remember your face,
Now cloaked and unseen.

I recall your transformation
From angel to demoness.

I remember evil incantations
While slipping off your dress.
She baptized me once with trembling hands,
Now those same hands are clean of me.
Anointed by rules I’ll never understand,
While love was crucified quietly.

She taught me God was always near,
That mercy bloomed in every heart.
But vanished when I drew you near,
Condemned before we could even start.

My vows were not dressed in her gold,
No steeple echoed my sacred day.
But truth was there, bare-faced and bold,
In every honest word I’d say.

She said my soul had lost its way,
That sin had inked my wedding bands.
But if Heaven turns its face away,
Then Hell must hold far gentler hands.

She chose her church above my chair,
Left it empty out of fear and pride.
Her silence louder than any prayer
That ever left her lips in stride.

I am not lost. I am not less.
I built a life from blood and flame.
And if she mourns in Sunday dress,
She mourns a ghost who bears my name.

You single out an innocent child
Claiming he's a bad seed
Never given a chance to prove himself
Guidance and support is all he needs

Drugs have become the common answer
A classroom full of doped up kids
No uniqueness or originality can surmount
Shielding parents with their own eyelids

Flushing out the child's deemed impurities
Punished for something he hasn't done
Portrayed him as a problem child
Labeled him as the one

You're supposed to be supportive
Giving children hope to succeed
Instead, you ruined him at a young, tender age
Smashing his aspirations and dreams

Turning children into robots
Addicted to medication, fiends
No unique thoughts or beautiful  minds
You rob children of their being

Their innocence stolen
True thoughts hidden and unseen
Convincing them that free will is evil
With consequences obscene

Born After the Echo
Only the day after tomorrow belongs to me.
Not the glory of now, nor its fleeting decree.
Today is a stage where the crowd roars blind,
But my name won’t bloom till I’ve left it behind.

They toast the noise, the shallow cheers,
But I’ll carve my truth through future years.
Not for applause in the flicker of flame,
But the whispers that follow the fading of fame.

Some are born posthumously, cursed or blessed.
Their breath begins after their body’s at rest.
They walk through life like ghosts in disguise,
Never seen clearly till they’re gone from our eyes.

Let me be buried in silence and doubt,
Where time is the judge and the truth is dug out.
For I am the storm in a slumbering sky,
The word they’ll remember the moment I die.

So speak not of triumph when clocks still tick.
Greatness is patient, and death is quick.
Only the day after tomorrow is mine.
Where forgotten seeds take root in time.

Inhale
Inhale the pain
Exhale the bliss
Inhale before
Your soft, luscious
Kiss

Nothing is real
Wandering blind
Eyes closed to the world
Left far
Behind

Images of war
Splashed across the silver screen
Images of lust
And everything
Obscene

Flowing hair
In a state of liquid suspension
Wading through the night
Attain the impossible and
Change your perception

Will You Die for Me?
She dances in a ring of fire
Rhythmic freedom
No need to guide her

As she dances
Ground begins to shake
As her mind slips away
Her soul is awake

Shes dances
And the serpents sway
Their eyes affixed on beauty
They dare not betray

She dances in a ring of fire
Her body moves dangerously
Contorting the curves
Of my desire

Rhythm inflames her passion
Crazed temperament
Envelopes her eyes

With silent screams
No water gleams
As blood drips from her eyes

She dances in a ring of fire
She calls out to me
Take place beside her

Conquering injurious visions
And seething, jealous dastards
"Will you live for me," she asked
A greater question than the latter

Statutory
You couldn't hide it any longer
Always ahead of the game
Before you spoke a word
I already knew the name

Of the man who robbed you
Of your innocence
Stole away your childhood
Left you cold and alone
Forced you to grow up in an instant

He planted subtle lies in your head
Forced you to grow up too quick
He told you he'd love you forever
And you foolishly fell for the trick

Is five minutes of pleasure
Worth a lifetime of pain?
You say it's not his fault
Who else is there to blame?

What are you ashamed of?
Afraid to let me know?
I would have taken care of you
He's gone and left you alone

I've always been there for you
Through times thick and thin
Always put you ahead of myself
Why won't you let me in?

Exploration of Desire
Grab my hand.  Grip it tightly and hold it firmly to your chest.  Treasure the few fleeting moments we have left to share together, for it will not be long until I abscond into the surreal and leave you here with only remnants of my whispers.  Exploding, lighting the night skies across all that is seen and unseen.  Immortality awaits.  I hear my name being called upon a distant shore.  They cry for me.  They bid me to relieve myself of the horrors of the known universe.  Happiness awaits the ones who remained true to the word.  Loyalty and sacrifice have given the key to the unknown.  Exploration of limitless desire.

Simply Complex
I laugh in the light, but I’m carved from the night.
Where joy wears a mask and pain holds it tight.
I speak of peace with a war in my chest.
A soldier in silence, refusing to rest.

The sunrise feels holy, the sunset feels haunted.
Each moment I’m grateful, each moment I’m daunted.
I love with a fury, I push love away.
I’m healing and breaking a thousand new ways.

I walk with a confidence stitched out of doubt.
A scream in my soul I’ve learned to live without.
I chase after freedom while building my cage.
A sage in my youth, a child in old age.

My truth is a riddle I barely can speak.
I’m strong in the storm and fragile each week.
I trust like a mirror that shatters on glance,
But I still give the world another chance.

I’m covered in scars I call masterpieces.
Each one a puzzle that never quite ceases.
Life isn’t either/or, it’s both and then more.
A locked-open window, a wound that can soar.

So call me a paradox, twisted and blessed.
A mess made of meaning, a curse that’s caressed.
In chaos I’m calm, in stillness I flex.
I’m endlessly simple, and simply complex.

Blessed Is the Night
Blessed is the night
That conceals our identity
Blessed is the night
Such peace and serenity

Blessed is the night
Of sensations and no control
Blessed is the night
Of undying rock and roll

Blessed is the night
Where creatures come to play
Blessed is the night
Where we become the prey

Full Circle
Pain is based on pleasure
And pleasure, then on pain
Full circle is the cycle
The refuses to be slain

The crippling pain of heartache
Unparalleled highs of love
Full circle is the cycle
The pain and joy of love
If these streets could speak
Fantastic stories they would tell
From drunken nights, forgotten
And childhood heroes that fell

If the moon up high could write
A novelist he'd be
Of lover's lane and voices, insane
And pure adultery

If the trees outside could listen
Brokenhearted, they would dwell
This world once pure, this paradise
And how it has been transformed into hell

Russian Roulette
Easily disposed of
In this game of Russian Roulette
A false move or faltering hand
A thought you wrongly interpret

The hammer clicks once
You've escaped death's grasp
Your life moves on
As present is now past

The shot echoes
Resounding through the halls
Life is out of reach
Before the body falls

No chance to change
The past or the now
You move through the chaos
And suddenly hit ground

Sitting and wondering
How life might have turned out
With a few different choices
Success is no doubt

You come back slowly, languidly
To the lingering voices
You've seen your eternity
Painful afterlife of your choices

The endless darkness
Lit only by furies of pain
The Bible's wrath
Has come down again

Open your book
Begin a fresh page
Your soul has been chosen
New flesh in new age

No more fire
Of earth, wind, and water
What you desire
Is societal disorder

Eternal Unrest
You can knock as much as you like on the coffin lid at night, when the dead awaken and the spirits arise, yet your screams will remain unheard and your pleas unanswered.  Speak your heart and let it resound true in the moment, lest your desires remain unheard in eternity.

True to Oneself
Self realization
Self actualization
Self limitation
Is self mutilation.
Life and living
Have no correlation.

Untold wonders hide
In the depths of your mind.
All people; all actions
One in the same
You will find.

Dreams become realized
As reality is dreamed.
What is seemingly obvious
Is never what it seems.

Too busy being me
To be myself.
Escaping within my
Own mind.
Is it possible to be
True to oneself?

Betray Thyself
I have not followed.
Nor will I ever feel need.
Move forth now young pawns,
Overwhelmed with greed.
Engineered disease
Of our own accord.
Betrayed by ourselves.
A fate we cannot afford.

The Life Sentence
A life of innocence and shattered dreams.
Of a broken heart and sorrowful screams.
Of knowing his father's head is not right.
Of unadulterated hatred surviving the night.

A room full of tension, masked with a cloud of smoke.
Of a child, bruised and beaten for laughing and making a joke.
Of sullen faces , never free from crying eyes.
Of a hopeful mother, pleading and praying to the skies.

A city full of grudges and insurmountable mistakes.
Of naive youths who choose the wrong fate.
Of innumerable addicts, indulging to escape.
Of a child's fragile mind, left there battered and *****.

A teen, full of potential
Striving for the best.
Who worked so long
And fought so hard
With no opportunity for rest.

Who faked being happy
And smiled through the pain.
Who remained cool and collected
While on the brink of going insane.

A man who never took initiative
And lives with unfulfilled dreams.
Who finally comes to realize
The world is never what it seems.

Who once had such aspirations
And sought to stand straight and tall.
Who looks back on his mundane life
And his mind begins to fall.

A man full of hatred
And violent despair.
Who never experienced love.
It simply wasn't there.

Who watched as years went by,
Contemplating life he was appalled.
Who never amounted to anything.
He won't be remembered at all.

Entwined in Mystery
Good and evil
Lie side by side,

And in between
Is where we hide.

In the shallows,
We dare not confide.

We turn to evil
Look death in the eyes,

And with a flash of brilliance
We see good in our lives.
It is not until you've experienced evil can you appreciate good.

The Mask of Inebriation
A night I don't want to attend
Filled with people who pretend
Pretend to be sworn enemies
Pretend to be good friends

Hidden behind a mask
Of lies and inebriation
The tension fills the room
With cruel and icy sensation

False compliments
False statements of affection
A curtain of lies hangs in between
Only to protect them

Thoughts on Life
Sometimes, in life, we have all the momentum.  As if we're riding the peak of a tremendous, powerful wave.  Such potential we have to achieve the unimagined.  Yet, other times, life feels overwhelming.  As if having the weight of the universe bearing down upon us like a corner stone is not enough, a demon of unthinkable evil, one we call society, reaches in and slowly strangles us from within.  It is always at our weakest moments in life when evil chooses to strike.  It's as if you understand exactly what is occurring, yet you are powerless and unable to control it.  Your heart beats too quickly while your mind works too slowly.  You have become completely locked inside your self.  Sometimes it becomes necessary to delve deep inside ourselves and locate that minute portion of innate, animal instinct that hasn't yet been killed off by modern technology and useless vices.  We must retrieve that everlasting fire from your soul.  This powerful, unique force must be harnessed and concentrated.  This fire is of preternatural omnipotence and is the fire of life that will break you free from the frozen block of anxiety that binds you.  When harnessed and used properly, it will ultimately set you free from the bindings of reality.

The Purpose
Our sky
Another world's ocean
Our earth
Another world's hell

Our dreams
Another world's space
Where free thought
And free will dwell

Sharing a drink
We call obsession
Sharing misguided
Views and perceptions

A world lost in itself
Of its own accord
A world taken for granted
When it should be adored

A life of confusion
Terror and bliss
A life of illusion
Fear and loneliness

A future, certain
The past shows the way
For ancient revelations
Have not gone astray

A purpose, unknown
Of longing and strife
A purpose, unsatisfied
At the ending of life

A creature suppressed
Locked away in a cave
A creature unwanted
Society depraved

The Crooked Joy
They chase the straight and narrow path,
A line from birth to tomb.
Blindfolded by the myth of math,
That life’s a goal, not room.

They measure steps and chart the skies,
As if the stars align.
For those who fear what truth belies,
That chaos is divine.

I’d rather dance through winding walls,
Where every twist reveals,
A deeper voice that softly calls,
Beneath the turning wheels.

Let others chase the final frame,
The scoreboard or the prize.
I court the dark, I kiss the flame,
Where every answer dies.

The maze is home, the dead ends sing,
Of things not meant to know.
And joy’s not in the conquering,
But getting lost below.

Each circle I mistake for square,
Each shadow I befriend,
Is sweeter than a perfect prayer,
That’s hurried to the end.

So mock my path, go walk your line,
Your purpose plain and proud.
While I explore the undefined,
With questions speaking loud.

For freedom isn’t reaching there,
It’s never being done.
It’s building temples out of air,
And running just for fun.

The days are bright
And filled with pain
The nights grow dark
But feel the same

I must escape
This unavoidable fate
I must release myself
From this catatonic state

Must be too good to be true
Here I stand alone watching
Him walk away with you

To express myself freely,

Bestowed upon me
Language, lips, and tongue,
These tools we hold divine.

They Understand Not
Murderous intent
Glaring upon the
Dreams of power.

Insidious hatred
Gazing upon the
Lovely flower.

Wild evils sewn blankets
Over our eyes.
Masked self perception.
Hatred spewing from their lies.

They understand not
Why they fight.
Such tenacity,
Souls pierced.

They know not
Why they love.
So violent and
So fierce.
Sudden, profound realization of the simplistic complexity of the world.  Understanding and comprehending the universe as a whole.  Timeless, ageless, and chaotic.  Every minute piece of reality succinctly interlocking and fitting perfectly in order to continue this insane concoction of life.  This duality of horror and bliss.

Those who have not been born yet and those who are no longer with us, please guide me through this labyrinth of indecision.  Save me from this monster I call myself.

Human beings are the terminal disease of the universe.  Vast consumption with disregard to replenishment.
