The Wire Tree
Walking through a dim lit wood
The far off scent of firewood and nosetalgia
creeps up my back like an old Army Blanket
A shade appears before me
Without words I follow
Further and further
The translucent green shade leads on
I come to a great oak tree
A very old strand of barbed wire
appears to be melted into the tree
It is very dark now
the shade is gone
In these woods
Man's boundaries
Meet
Nature's patience

Somebody could be thinking about you
right now
hard to believe

I usually do the thinking

Could someone
smile
at the thought of me

My brain says
probably not

My heart wants to say
always

When you break something
You shut down
Your body just doesn't know what to do
Or how to fix it

when I read Emerson
just the same
as when hearing
Led Zeppelin
or watching
Breakfast at Tiffany's
just a bit of breathlessness,
a spasm of
echoes ringing bells
Cat,
reflecting back,
in my gasps,
about to burst into tears,
touch,
deeply,
I don't understand it.
It,
is in me,
just driving, on on, endlessly,
the motif, the Theme,
rhythm.

If forever meant something to you
You would still be holding my hand
If love is what you meant
Your kiss wouldn't of burned
Everything was meant truly by me
To my astonishment not by you
You cared more deeply but oh so
Temporarily
Can it be
I'm the only one left?
The rest of humanity seems to have gone to shame.

I'm not even sure they are human,
I don't even think they are sane.

The rest of the Humans are gone.
I am only left.
Yet to be replaced by a race,
of hate and greed.
Where everyone covets and wants what others have.

So now I wait,
to be replaced.
By one of these
Aliens.
The world representation. Just remember this and return a simple act of kindness today. You could be saving the Human Race.
They can't tell how the other feels,
They can't see that there's something real.

What bitter sweet tragedy,
That they can't see.

She secretly loves him and he secretly loves her,
A mystery how such thing can occur.

They don't tell one another,
How much they love eachother.

Such a shame,
That life had to put them in this game.

Keeping the truest of love apart,
Never giving it the chance to start
