Life is just this yellow brick road
Its filled with stumbles and cracks that make us fall with no one to catch us
And we can only enjoy it when we get to the emarald city
Why can't we enjoy the road, the journey?
Why can't we stop and enjoy the scenes the journey gives us rather than just  looking forward at the emarald city?
Why follow the road to the city when all we have is the road?
We can't stop walking down the road
But why can't we notice it and everything it gives us?
Why is it that only the end matters when we can enjoy the journey there?
Why can't we enjoy our lives rather than just walking along the yellow brick road?

I was Marge to his Homer.
I was Lois to his Peter.
I was Francis to his Stan.
So I guess we were about as real as those people.

I don't want to worry about college.
Not yet at least
Because if I do, that means I'm more worried about how I'm going to live my life
Rather than actually living my life
If all I can do about the future, which is something that changes in a second or be destroyed easily, is worry about it, that means all of high school will wasted on worrying about something I can't change
And I don't want to waste my life
So, no I'm not going to think about college
Moral of the story: if your to busy planning your life you'll miss living it

We shouldn't  have to consider what we take from the world
But consider what the world is willing to give us instead

Ember Evanescent
Once again I wore my spiked choker and wristband today
I haven't worn them in a while
Because everyone thinks I'm depressed when I wear them
But I realized I don't care what people think of me
I'm not hollow like I was the last time I wore this
So that is all that really matters
This is my little symbol of rebellion
Against hatred
To say to those who prejudge me and hate me:
F!ck you
I'll do whatever the hell I feel like
Your approval is not needed
I'm happy dressed this way
That's all that matters
I encourage everyone to have a little bit
Of that "F!ck You Attitude" today
Just little symbols of rebellion
Draw a black X on your wrist today
In black ink
If you support
Being yourself regardless what people think
And through this little ink symbol
Though apart in miles
We will be united in spirit
Be YOU :)
X
I'm drawing the black X on my wrist right now. Comment if you are going to do it too. So we know someone else out there supports rebelling against hatred. ;)

If I leave he has to follow
If I hide he has to seek
If I go he has to look for me
If I run he has to chase me
If we break each others hearts, then it has to be our souls that glue the broken pieces of our hearts back together
If I leave he has to fight for me
Inspired by the guys who are actually in love enough to fight for the one they love

Hope is ingrained into the soul.
It doesn't matter if it temporaily fades or not.
It will ALWAYS be there.
This poem will not be the first poem in a list of poems about hope. This just happens to be the first one.
