I picked up a poem on the side of the road
It'd had its thumb out for some time
I kindly asked which way I should go
All that it said was just drive

So we drove along admiring the scenery
As it spoke to me in riddles and rhymes
Talking of all the places that it had been
And how it was enjoying its time

This poem had seen its share of exotic places
And fallen in love more than once or twice
Around every corner were always new faces
With new situations to put down in line

It brought up a few childhood memories
Some of them happy with some of them sad
A few of them really spoke to me
And I was really thankful for that

After a while we rode on in silence
Both of us enjoying the drive
With me thinking I'm glad I stopped today
And picked this poem up for a ride

Snow beautiful snow
Falling to the Earth
With purpose to cover
The filth and ****
That contaminates the world

Snow beautiful snow
Why must you melt?

I saw you the first time at my minimum wage  job.
Vibrant and curly.
Every moment started slowing down
and as I counted the minutes you faded away.
With a big beautiful smile of course.
But no longer there.
Then after you left my sight
another image persisted.
One of you walking back into my store.
Nothing more.
But this image was long out of reach.

The second time I saw you I forgot to get your number.
I consider myself a fool for this,
but you were still standing
and looking at me.
Absolutely straight into my eyes.
I could hardly make your sandwich.
The eyes of my throbbing soul.
Without the hustly bustle of my own mentality,
I would have taken you to Mars right then and there.
With all your curly hair.
And all your ******* smiles.
My earnings for the biweekly pay
couldnt surmount the glory
that is your absolute stunningness.
to the girl i see every day who never knew i even saw her.

"She is so cute!"**
said the grand mother type
in McDonalds today.
"Yes I have heard that said.
Every where we go."

Miss Personality makes
an impression...
on the young and the old.
Purely unintentional.
Little head strong at times.
Mostly when awake.
She will go far.

Disagreements with Nana
can be fun at times,
'"Lucy! Don't do that! No!"
Can ping pong three times.
Then must stop.  Or else!

On hearing the verbal
exchange between
the two one day
Gpa asked Miss Lucy,
"What part of 'NO'
do you not understand?"

The reply coming from
Miss Congeniality was an
emphatic "The N."

Gpa left the room.
Laughing held to elsewhere.
Reporting to Nana.

She is cute at times.
Four now...
going on fourteen.
But still cute.
And I have to put up with this daily.
Further editing may happen... at times.
