And in my slumber,
I crave
the taste
of your delicious lips,
traces of me
on your strawberry tips
& your sweet nectar,
oh, the
thought of
licking
your sweet nectar
arouses me &
keeps me up,
all night.

It's
always
the ones
who've
done
the least
and
sacrificed
nothing,
who
always
seem
to have
the
most to
say.

I stood and
stared at the static
littered
television screen.

I tossed back
my first drink
of the day
which was
my  last drink
of the night.

All of my
endings begin
something
anew.

I turned the
volume up
in an attempt
to drown out the
voices with that
timeless white noise
of confusion.

Hit the bottle
and took a moment
to enjoy
the burn.

Not all that is
aflame is meant
to destroy.

Caught my mind
slipping then slowly
willed it back.

I've been lonely,
but never have I been
so alone as to
welcome the voices
as company.

I've allowed
insanity across
my threshold .

But never have
I been lonely
enough to dare
my silent walker
to stay.

Those youth
kissed drunken
nights
when it all
loved you
better than
anything
ever since.

Will there ever
be another
moment like
the first.
Spend our lives
comparing it
all to what
has already
passed.

See those living
in their
Diamond years,
with their
bodies still
like stone and
their minds
yet still
a flower.

Soon
you feel the
resentment slowly
rising up your
aching spine like
mercury.

You know
this feeling
it shouldn't be
there.

Unlike them
you know
of the trials and
disappointments
that lay ahead.

Wish them
well and praise
their youth.
For a bit
of your
yesterdays
will soon be
a bit of their
tomorrows.
i feel your breath moving up and down slowly
your face, tranquil and untouched
i stare for a while, just enjoying this moment
your arms surround me like a cloak of warmth
your breath on my neck, sending shivers by my spine
you tighten your arms slightly, letting me know you’re still there
i have never felt more safe, or more at home,
i breath in your smell, drinking in your heat
my world at this time defined by yours
but you will never know
i can never give you that power

When did life become the new Hollywood
and us actors playing a part
Who's directing what used to be a blockbuster
Which is now quickly becoming a flop

Who wrote this screenplay anyways
Possibly Stephen King?
Who taught us how and what to say
All these lines of make believe

Who holds up the Cue cards and hollers out action,
quiet on the set we're about to begin
Who chooses the leading ladies
and picks out the leading men

When was it most of us became stand ins
filling up space and time
Not even mentioned in the credits
A bit part in this life

By just surviving the daily we all should get Oscars
No matter the part we play
When did life become the new Hollywood
That my friend is hard to say

leave the lights on she said
i need to find a path wide open
see where my dreams are going

as she crawled into bed
folded the sheets into a kite
for a later flight

want you join me she said
holding out her hand
i took it on command

no way of knowing what comes next
as we both closed our eyes
and opened the sky

She spreads strawberry jam
In the palm of her hand
Adding flavor to her handshakes

Sips life through a straw
Taking it slow
Enjoying the taste of each new day

She wears vintage clothes
Because everyone knows
The past holds hidden treasures

Along with rose colored shades
To help her stay
In the frame of mind that nothing much matters
