Yellow Moonlight
Search the world,
Seek the heavens.
Explore the Earth,
Discover your mirth.

Hike that canyon,
Leap the cliff,
use your wings
and catch the upward drift.

Lie on your back,
stare at the sky.
Watch as the stars
go flying by.

Climb that arch,
leap over the geyser,
sit by the tree,
watch pleasantly.

Falcons fly high,
brushing the sky.
Sun glows bright,
far from night.

Explore that land,
chart by hand.
Ditch the G.P.S.,
clean your mess.

Wash away worries
in the waterfall.
Do your best to crawl,
start anew, just like this world.

stone the bear
They told her she was just a face.

So all the creases & blemishes

made her mind race.

They said she could fix it,

just press erase.

With a brush, make it up just right:

sweep it under the rug

or go under the knife,

it’s just a tug,

and less bags

to lug.

***? that’s not how to give yourself a hug.

Take it off. remove it from sight.

why are you afraid for your face

to see the light?

stone the bear
kiss me like the wind,

because i know you won’t dwell.

but i will wait for the leaves to spin again

and fall under your spell.

chasing vapors
just because
it doesn't leave
a single line
doesn't mean
it's not a poem

just because
it doesn't rhyme
doesn't mean
you're not a poet

because a poem
is not merely
about the style
but solely
about the soul

(Zion Saga, Part 2)

Sister, you know what it's like
it has more than just one purpose
it makes an evil sight, mighty

I shake it, make it wiggle, arouse your ambition
entertain you, enthrall you, quake you
eat up this inadequate competition

For you my rod can dance
for you my staff's enhanced
now come with me, baby
tonight's your only chance

I was aroused by the Bush
glorified and given the Push
now it's you who needs my push

You move with me in ecstasy
I'm seeing red as my staff I ****** upward
I hear your sighs over the rampart's falls

We've come together to another place
the intensity of our love kept us together
and my magic Rod put wonder on your face

Let me submit some thoughts to the public:

If one novel can
Overturn your worldview, then
Maybe the view's wrong

If one poem can
Make you turn to suicide
Then you're not happy

If a few berries
Can overthrow your empire
Then it's bound to fall

If one whistleblower
Can discredit you, then your
Actions might be wrong

If one blogger can
Threaten your morals, then the
Morals are too strict

If one flaw can break
The entire system, it's
already broken

That's all.
Inspired by the creative people I admire, including John Green, Suzanne Collins, and Ray Bradbury.

Why do you insist
On insulting my friends
I'm wondering if the complaints
Will ever end

When will you stop
Mocking and making fun of
The celebrities and characters
Whom I follow and love

And I understand that
You have your own point of view
And you wouldn't like them
But I am not you

And I understand that
You might just need to blow air
But your comments leave me wondering
If you really even care

Because what if I agreed
With them more than you
What if I had traits in common with them
Then what would you do

Would you still accept me
Just as I am
Or would you turn me away
Like a criminal on the lamb

To the new poet who wishes to be wise:
Keep your work out of sight of unwelcome eyes

To the poet first trying to find rhymes:
Give it a moment, you'll think of them in time

To the poet whose night is their day:
Just write down what's harder to say

To the poets whom I know as my friends:
Let's write until the universe ends
