When the time comes for the birth the woman is in pain.

A week after the cease fire a Gazan man named Yousef returned to the north.
He was riding a truck with other people through Salah Al Din street.
When he arrived at Tel El Hawa he walked limply seeing everything had been destroyed.
Then he arrived at his destroyed house not far from the beach.
He immediately prostrated while crying.
After that he sat in the rubble and continued to cry.
Because all his family had died when his house was bombarded a year ago.
For Yousef life has no meaning anymore after he lost everything.
Now he had nothing and doesn't have anyone.
He also doesn't know how to continue living.
But he still tries to smile to cover up his sorrow.
A fake smile that makes people think that he is fine.

Do you know ?!...
Now I always take a shower without soap.
Do you know why ?!...
Coz I have boycotted famous soaps like Lux , Dove and Lifebuoy.
I did not find any other good soap to replace.
That's why I now take a shower without soap.

But I just saw a video about traditional Palestinian soap.
A soap made from 100% pure olive oil.
That soap is made in Nablus , one of the old cities in Palestine.
For hundreds of years Palestinian people have been bathing using that soap.
So I'm curious to take a shower using that soap but no one sells it in Indonesia.
I can only hope that someday I can buy it from the importer.
I want to take a shower using that soap.
I'm really curious to feel what olive oil would smell like on my skin.

It's midnight the moon looks big and bright.
I look that moon on the edge of a quiet and dark rice field.
Near the train track on the outskirts of Surabaya.
Which goes towards Sidoarjo.

I'm taking a photo of that moon.

I see there are lots of photo posts from the people in Gaza.
It turns out they were also looking at the moon.

A few minutes ago Maha uploaded her photo.
She was sitting on the roof of the house with her cat.
She looked at the moon while drinking coffee.
Without caring that jet planes were bombarding the neighborhood in Deir El Balah.

Half an hour ago Omar uploaded his photo.
He was hanging out in front of the tent with his friends.
They were looking at the moon while smoking hookah.
Relaxing after helping volunteers in Khan Yunis.

Half an hour ago Mariam uploaded her photo.
She was sitting pensively in front of the tent.
She looked at the moon while remembering her family who had died.
Buried among the rubble of her house in Tel El Hawa.

An hour ago Dr Abraham uploaded his photo.
He was sitting on the balcony of Al Nasser Hospital.
He looked at the moon while complaining.
Tired of taking care of the injured people who were arriving.

An hour ago Saleh the journalist uploaded his photo.
He saw a group of young people dancing dabke and playing oud guitar.
They were standing together on the rubble of a building.
While the moon seemed to be shining brightly behind them.

This big and bright moon really looks beautiful.
Decorating the night of the people in Gaza.
Who are still trapped in the long chaos.
Without knowing when it will end.

The tent should only be used for a week picnic.
But people in Gaza have been living in tents for more than a year.
On Tiktok you can see their daily life in the refugee camp.
And if you want to know how it feels.
Just imagine yourself in Gaza.

Summer is really torturous.
During the day it feels very hot in the tent.
Your body is full of sweat that flows profusely.
Then while you are sleeping rats and various insects will come in.
Crawling on the mattress , carpet or your body.
Mosquitoes also disturb your sleep every night.

Winter is also very torturous.
At night your body will shiver from the cold inside the tent.

And the worst thing is that strong winds can tear the tent down.
If the tent collapses there will be no longer any shelter.

The worst of the worst are the unexpected various terrors.
Drones and quadcopters can suddenly attack.

A young journalist named Hossam Shabat has died on duty.
Died young like other journalists who died first.

Hossam finally went to join them.

I have been following Hossam's X account for more than a year.
Hossam tirelessly continued to serve in North Gaza.
He knew that every time he served he was risking his life.
But he continued to serve without fear.

But in the end his duty has ended.
Today is the end of his duty as a brave journalist.

Last night my friend came to my house.
He wanted to watch El Classico with me.
While bringing some Big Mac burgers from Mc Donald's.
Big Mac has been our favorite burger since we were kids.

But I didn't want to eat that burger anymore.

I was looking at beef covered in tomato sauce.
But what I saw were pieces of flesh mixed with blood.

That's how the Big Mac burger now looks terrible in my eyes.

Saturday morning October 7 2023.
Was the end of normal life for people in Gaza.
They thought the chaos at that time was just a small chaos as usual.
Without realizing that the big chaos had just begun.
Continuing for more than a year until city after city had been reduced to ruins.
And they can never return to their destroyed houses.
All they took with them were house keys.
Just like their grandparents who experienced the Nakba in 1948.

Now people in Gaza are forced to get used to the new normal.
Trying to survive day by day for more than a year.
Tiredness , sadness , poverty , hunger , fear , loss , they feel it all continuously.
Bombardment by jets , helicopters and artillery.
Terror by drones , quadcopters and snipers.
Attacks by troops , tanks dan gunboats.
All are dangerous threats they have to face every day.
The sense of imminent death continues to loom day by day.

The long chaos has made them forget the old normal.
They have lost everything they had.
Only the smelly ***** tent they live in.
Only stale bread they can eat.
Only shabby clothes they can wear.
The beautiful past has been lost.
While the present is full of suffering.
And the future is uncertain.

A gloomy ramadan in Gaza.
Full of suffering and chaos.
But there is still a glimmer of hope.
Every midnight before suhoor young men go around the dark streets.
They always sing while carrying colorful lighted fanous.
People always wake up and smile seeing them.
Their presence lights up a light of hope in the midst of darkness.

I forgot the taste of Big Mac burger from Mc Donald's and crispy fried chicken from KFC.

I forgot the taste of beef cheese pizza from Pizza Hut and various donuts from Dunkin.

I forgot the taste of drinks like Cola Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Pepsi and coffee from Starbucks.

I also forgot the taste of Oreo , Cadbury chocolate , Danone biscuit and Walls ice cream.

Do you know why I've forgotten everything I ever liked ?!

Coz I've been boycotting it all for over a year until I forgot what it felt like.

And I have to forget forever coz I have decided to boycott forever.

In Gaza there are many painful ways to die.
For more than a year death after death continues to occur which seems tragic and sadistic.
You can see on TikTok like an endless daily horror show.
And if you are curious about what it feels like every day to escape death.
Try to imagine yourself in Gaza.

If you hide in your house jet planes will bombard until it's destroyed.
Then you will die under the rubble of your house.

If you are not alert when you are on the street snipers, drones, quadcopters will target you.
Then you will die from being shot or hit by an explosion.

If you are injured but there is no ambulance or civilian rescue to pick you up you will slowly bleed out.
Then you will bleed to death.

If you are injured but there is no medicine or adequate equipment in the hospital you will be in prolonged pain.
Then you will just die.

If no food aid enters Gaza you will starve until your body become weak.
Then you will starve to death.

If you are caught by the soldiers you will be tortured while being interrogated.
Then you will die in a mass execution.

If you are caught by the soldiers carrying tanks you will be forced to lie down on the ground.
Then you will be crushed to death by a tank until your body is scattered on the ground.

If you live in a tent various unexpected dangers will threaten you.
Then you will be killed by a jet , helicopter , drone or quadcopter.

So now you must be horrified to imagine yourself in Gaza.
You're lucky , you only see death after death on Tik Tok.
Without ever truly feeling that your life is threatened by death everyday.
If your life is as chaotic as people in Gaza.
You will not survive even just a day.

People in heaven felt fully alive.
But then the horde of greedy and hypocritical demons came.
planning to stole , destroy and take over heaven.
With misleading tricks and ***** methods.

The people in heaven fought back.
But instead they were blamed.
They became victims and had no power to defend heaven.
Until finally they lost heaven.

What remains is hell.
A dark rotten hell filled with...

chaos , fear , destruction , danger , bitterness , painfullness , hassle , despair , difficulty , fatigue , tiredness , sadness , grief , fragility , shackles , limitation , poverty , wasteness , loss , anger , disappointment , misery , powerlessness , helplessness , hunger , thirst , anxiety , panic , ineligibility , humiliation , madness , sickness , agony , sorrow , oppression , and all the other bad things.

People in hell are still alive but don't feel alive.
They are dying slowly while waiting for a miracle that never comes.
But maybe there is still some strength left.
The last remaining strength for the decisive struggle.
