Shanay Love
From the meadows we would walk
to the laughter you would bring
From the ground up above
to the dirt down beneath

Those nights you were comfort
The days you were just mine
To the rain that poured
on your casket that night

I saw the feeling in your eyes
of hope and relief
I heard the last words you spoke
Reminding me you love me

I touched the body
with a soul now resting
I cried the last time
I could feel your presence
My great grandmother was the only bond to keep my family together. Her death, July 14, 2010, was the worst day of my life. To this very day I remain distracted by her disappearance. While praying to meet her in peace one day.

Shanay Love
She is only a predator
devouring the sour flesh of those
who are gulable to her illusion

She is only lust
the image your mind potrays
abusing her beauty
Like the plastic it is

She is  poison
You avoid to drink
Left upon a table
Within your reach

You  grasp the cup tightly
with one sip you were  gone
mesmerized by the dangers
of being with her

Shanay Love
Turn my sorrow into gold
Mending my broken heart
put love in every single stitch
As you sew what's torn apart

kiss away my silent screams
expunge unbearable pain
Stroke my face and pretend,
those horrid words never came

Trust in me
You need no other
Confide in me
And no one else
Have faith in me
You won't be lonely
Cling to me
For life itself
Depend on me
I'm all you have now
We're out to sea
And there's no escape

Bruised love.
Broken hearts.
She flies in heaven.
While he sinks in hell.
I say yes, but you say no.
This is not good, for it's very bad.
My god why do you make me so sad.

Demons

I look across the room searching for a familiar face.

I do not see anyone I know, for there is no one.

The shadows that lie on the floor are gone.

I am alone in this dark room.

I hear a laugh, so I follow the noise.

I end up walking into a room full of darkness.

Right then and there I realize I am in the room of demons.

They strike out at my body, but somehow I am not taken over.

Why not?

Because they already trapped me years ago.
