"so, how does that make you feel?"

yes its all in your head
but who are they to say its not real?

Maddy
You stole my heart,
So I stole a kiss
And just for a second
I might barely miss
The stubble on your cheek
And the touch that
Made me so weak
You came into my life
With no notice at all
No fanfare or bells
Went off when you called
But little by little
You broke into my heart
And now it’s a shame
I didn't fall from the start
I had no idea
I’d be the one that you’d choose
Nor did I know
I’d be the one that would lose
But still today
I would pay that price
Just for the chance
To just kiss you twice
The first for the nerves
When I’d try to be brave
And the second to remember---
It’s the kiss I would save
I’d keep in my heart
Where I’d never forget
The look in your eyes
And that last sunset

the glass jar
full to the brim; steaming
teaming with drowsiness

he left it
out
lid-less
7 pages ,
front & back
he said he had so much to say
he could've gone on for
biblical lengths
he drove 45 minutes out of his way
just to say
nothing
Only glare

he said he thought about me
for the last 3 days
even more at nighttime
in the dark room
unhinged; TV on
I unfriended him nervously

χoχo true story
If I wrote in rhyme,
with satisfying time,
would you like it?

Does it comfort you
seeing stanzas of two,

And is it pleasing
without any meaning?

Do you mind it?

And if I were to stumble
on my own words and
my thoughts crumble
beneath the structure

of beautiful nothingness
and regress

to complexity that resembles more
the disjointed thoughts of our souls
the pain and ugly in our hearts
the way we might actually speak (gasp!)
and think
and hope
and hurt
--is that not beautiful enough
for your poetic sensibilities?

If not, I understand
and will no longer clash
my words like waves that crash
on the unforgiving sand.

You may find much to see,
but this poem means nothing to me.
The sun shines upon Earth, and upon me.
It looks down on me, from blue skies of hope.
It says "Why do you destroy yourself in this way?
Why do you pollute yourself, and myself, and my Earth when you can be protecting us?"
"Because," I say, looking up at the white clouds of smoke, slowly drifting towards the sun, from my lungs,
"Life is too long, and too painful."
The sun sighs, as black dots begin to appear around the sun.
"Life is just long enough, my friend. You have all the time you need to find love, happiness, and yourself.
You have just enough time to do all of this, and then die.
There is no reason to be upset, no reason to harm.
Recite the three virtues as was told to you, by myself, by all around you."
"Eternity, happiness, true self, and purity. These describe the true nature of Buddha's life and of my life and of the life on all around me."
The sun smiles as I put out my cigarette, in a wastebasket.
"Good, my friend. Do you feel better now? Do you wish to recite them again?"
"No, my friend. Thank you, you are a true source of guidance when myself is lost."
I had a dream
That we went to a museum
Full of nothing but
e.e Cummings paintings and
ashtrays for our convenience
With interlocked fingers and sweating palms
I kissed you on a spiral staircase
Leading down
To a swimming pool
Where we sank like stones
Without our clothes
And I'm sure I kissed you there too
Sleep deprivation dreams
Your skin sticks to mine in the moment
Hoping your freckles stick to me like a fake tattoo
The time hasn’t changed on your clock in what feels like hours
I swear this has been an eternity
The world stops around us
We’re making love
Love is feeling like magic
Your scent stains my skin
Hoping this moment never ends
Our bodies tense with synchronized pleasure
I can feel your smile across my lips
Your happiness tastes like home
I challenged myself to write a poem for anyone and everyone of my friends that retweeted a tweet on my twitter. This is one of them.
Sunflower,
Don't Die From My Soul,
Sunlight Still Lurks In My Veins,
Imagination Quenches Your Thirst,
Though Your Roots Are Exposed,
I Kiss Every Petal,
To Keep You Alive

Rose,
Don't Die,
You Are The Passion In My Garden Of Me,
Don't Let The Frost Over Take You,
Snowflakes Dance Around You,
Enjoy The Cold

Sunflower,
Oh Sunflower,
It's Always Summer In My Garden,
Let The Showers Of Enlightenment,
Keep Your Petals Smooth And Age Free

*Rose,
Oh Rose,
Rose With Green Eyes,
Stay Strong,
Don't Let The Weeds Overtake You,
You Are Beautiful,
You Are The Pacemaker,
To Anyone Without A Heart,
If You Fail To Survive,
So Will I
This Isn't Very Good But Oh Well!
Gentle lady, do not sing
Sad songs about the end of love;
Lay aside sadness and sing
How love that passes is enough.

Sing about the long deep sleep
Of lovers that are dead, and how
In the grave all love shall sleep:
Love is aweary now.
