Falls at oceans end
Akira Chinen Aug 2016
Sifting through the falls at oceans end
Following the starfish as they die
Hanging in the noose
Tangled in the waves
Watching as their dreams drown
In the relentless currents of suicide
The moon never visits here
And the tide is always high
Salt stinging in the mist
Her eyes burning in the undertow
Some nights the only starfish she can save
Are the ones crying in her eyes
As she sifts through the waters
falling at oceans end

Reaching the end
Akira Chinen Aug 2016
Take a dream to a star
****** the man in the moon
Put a bullet in his back
Watch the sky crack
Walk along the fallen pieces in the air
You will find it easiest this way
Don't mistake your tears for the rain
You will only get lost in the waves
It might feel like its been weeks
Of weeping in a dream
And thats when you will find
A starfish in a noose
Hanging just out of reach
You won't be able to take another step
Without finding your own death
You will be at the beginning of new dreams
When you find yourself
At oceans end

Burning
Akira Chinen Aug 2016
Tired but not asleep
Dreamful but not dreaming
Looking through the ceiling
Imagined moon
And countless stars
Touching your ethereal skin
Hell trembling and
Heaven breathing deep within
I know the taste of your lips
Although we have never kissed

Only in dreams
Have I felt your *******
Your weight ontop of me
Heard your whispers
And your moans
Known the fire of your soul
Bathed in the colors of your heart
Dreams of desires lustful rage
Taste the salt between your legs
But only while lost in sleep
Have I ever known you beneath these sheets
Illusions of wanted love
Ghost of things that have not been
Leave their fingerprints
On my hardened skin
When the sun comes crawling in

I have no shame
I have no pride
Only this love
That burns inside

At oceans end
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
She sat at the edge of where the ocean ends
Saving starfish from thoughts of suicide
Catching them as they try to jump
Throwing them up to shine in moonless sky
Her tears unnoticed did always flow
With heartaches salty bitter taste
A serene smile she forever kept
Saving starfish at oceans end
Still she dreams of long lost shores
Of days before her heart did break
Of the memory of a simple touch
That lead to the night
Of loves long passions kiss
The life she once had
Before she found herself at oceans end
By following the starfish in her eyes

Strange passion
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Women of strange passion
Wearing suicide for fashion
Braclet of scars adorning wrist
Poison flowing where blood should dance
Womb full of pills devoid of life
Nothing stirring in soulless eyes
In silent stares I hear them cry
Why does love so often die
While wearing fashions of suicide

Nothing
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Time crawls
Alcohol flows
What a petty waste
Of shyness
Nothing of nothing
Dreams lost
Bitter sweet
Souls crushed
Under oceans deep
Nothing of nothing
Conversations never spoken
Love without its token
Was she beautiful
Under druken gaze
Or was it nothing of
Nothing

Horrible acts
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Its all horrible
We write it badly
We treat it poorly
We swim in it
We bath in it
We **** in it
We pollute it
And then we drink it all down
With all our dirt and filth
And blood and *****
We foam at the mouth for it
Perpetually thirsty for more
Hungry for our own human excrement and disease
Smearing ink in lustful fits
Burning paper and prayers begging the stars to deliver us to love
Or in true desperation
From love
Dog earring every page of a thesaurus
Yet never touching a dictionary
Four letter words disguised in elegant metaphors
All the flash of a deadpan affair
Of little meaning and no significance
We trudge through it day after day
Wasting our yesterday's
Chasing the forever distant tomorrow
Completely forgetting today again and again
We claim to dream
But never sleep
We die before we ever live
We only love to pretend
And only pretend to love
While whispering that four letter word
In the dark
Under stars and sheets
Moaning the minutes away
Grinding flesh over bones
Faking death as we carelessly spill life
Between ******* and on low backs
The four letter word echoing along our spines
As we come down from hollow ectasy
Then we bath in it
Swim in it
Pollute it
Treat it poorly
And worst of all write it down
The horrible act of poetry

Cloud cocoon
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Falling asleep in dreams
Of warm silken thread
And hearts blood string
Forming a cloud cocoon
Waking up in this slumber
Streching arms into wings
Butterfly beautiful blue eyes
In this never ending sleep
In these clouds
Where my heart
Now only dreams
And only falls
And I only have
Love for
You

tower of words and ink
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
In tallest tower keeps
Dreams of lovers sleep
Made of words and ink
Above the mountains
Where dragons fly
Songs of you and I
Castle clouds and pillow stars
No hope out of reach
Where the dreamweavers never sleep
Lay down worries
Put tears away
In this tower love will always stay
The climb is a simple one
Click your heels or make a wish
It is just a dream away
A dream both old and new
A dream forged from heavens breath
A dream of me and you

café
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
On a slow train way past the middle and nowhere
Bob was chit-chatting with the wheels as they went  clickity-clack
Tom was playing the part of the conductor
As he showed the devil a new card trick
That didn't involve sleeves or arms
Just a top hat made out of rainbows and cigar smoke
Charles was smacking his keys hard and fast
Recollecting the lost memories of the lonely miles
Jack wanted to jump the rails and hit the road
It was well past the 5'o-clock shadow
That had started itching his neck way back at noon
They all agreed they needed a shave
But Burma had fallen off of the map
And no one had packed a razor
Someone started screaming or maybe just singing
But one thing lead to another
And they started breaking beer bottles
And the sound of breaking glass calmed everyone down
Before anyone was murdered more than once
They were all past drunk and the clock forget how to read
So the devil challenged god to a thumb war

It lasted centuries...

They were all laughing so hard at how absurd the whole thing was
And called it a draw
As neither god or the devil could prove the other one even existed
I was just a passenger on this slow moving train
Packed with gods and legends
And they only thought on my mind was
When or if we would every reach the café
Where the snow fell gently and warm
And the staff had an honest magic and beauty
Smiling and laughing good clean laughs
The café found at the end of the tracks
At the bottom of the road to nirvana

Stuck
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Burning a dead star
Stuck to fly paper
Somewhere in the middle
of a forgotten thought
Drifting through a lost night
Eyes searching a mirror
with nothing reflecting back
Colors bleeding to a faded black
Pupils dripping poison
Something unknown crawls
inside the  throat
It freezes the lungs
and burns the heart
Somewhere in the corner
The devils laughing
A nervous laugh
With a cold sweat
His mirror is empty too
And theres nothing
Swimming in his eyes
Where did all those stolen souls go
In the middle of night
Lost in thought
Stuck on fly paper
Feeling a dead star burn

Pretty things

I like pens that bleed
Ink that smears
Girls with scars
Broken parts
***** clothes
Stained sheets
The hint of blood
The taste of lust
The smells of love
Nights through morning
Mornings to night
Suns that sleep
Moons that dream
And all the pretty
You hide underneath

Dominos
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Hard fate of bad stones
Nothing but blank faces on the ghost
Dancing in the boneyard
There was pain in her every breath
And she didn't belive in death
So what did she have to lose
She arranged the tiles in a noose
Swallowed a pretty pill
  or two
   or three
     or more and more and
She put on her favorite shoes and dress
So she would look her best
For whatever may be next
Then she fell like dominos
To the tempting hand of suicide

gone
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
She had left her heart nailed to the bedroom wall right above the light switch, with it she left a short note and a long letter.  On his nightstand next to the alarm clock was a shoe box (the box that once held her favorite pair of shoes, a gift from him on their thirteenth anniversary) full of photographs.  Thier life and crimes together had been well documented.  She had captured each moment like a seedy detective hired to snap the lewd acts of a presidential affair.   Hiding between each picture and in every nook and small open space was the laughter and the tears and the hopes and dreams and silent heartache and love and lust and loss they had shared and experienced together.

Somedays he would wake up and forget she was gone and had been gone for some years now.  He would roll over and expect to run his fingers through her hair, only to catch a glimpse of her ghost walking out the door.  Then his eyes would fall to the alarm clock, then the show box, then the letter and note, and then, finally her heart nailed to the bedroom wall.  He had memorized the short note and long letter and every photograph and all the giggles and laughing and every tear that every fell. He read them again anyway. He pulled out picture after picture, each still shot played out a movie of the moment captured within.

He laid it all out on top of his rustled sheets and blanket. The unpublished book of forevers end that now only he could read and understand. He left it all there as he climbed out of bed, hoping maybe her ghost would read the story while he was gone. That maybe she could laugh and cry and remember too. He hoped she would see it as an act of kindness and love and not an attempt to make her feel remorse or guilt. What had been done was done. If she needed forgiveness he had it, if she needed understanding he had that too... whatever she may want or need he would give her. He still loved her, as fiercely and loyal as he ever did or could.

His feet started to carry him out of the room and he paused with his hand over the light switch and below her heart.  He stared at her heart for a moment, watching and listening to it beat against the wall.  It was a small movement and barely the whisper of a beat. It spoke to him softly and gently and he knew that wherever she may have gone and whatever may have happened next, that still somehow, she loved him too.

His fingertip flipped his bedroom lights off and then he pulled the door closed.  The room was dark and her ghost sat in the middle of the bed looking over the photos and letter and note.  She read the story he had left out for her to read and she laughed and cried and remembered. She wrote a note on his pillow, one that he would read that night in his dreams and read only once.  He would not remember what it said and he woukd not wake up again and forget she was gone.   He wouldn't catch another glimpse of her ghost walking out his bedroom door.  She was gone and no amont of her haunting his memories or no amount of him haunting her memory would change anything.   She looked over her final note and crossed all her "t's" and dotted all her "i's" and sealed the letter with a kiss.  She smiled her dead weary smile and floated up through the ceiling... gone for good, no coming back.

No need
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Silence breaks over me
And echos in shards of doubt
I can hear madness laughing
And the devil howling
But I have no need to see the moon
To turn me into beast
When I have something more beautiful
In my longing dreams of you

Love and suicide
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
My dreams pauesd for a midnight bite
And I found a dead body
Entangled in my arms
And a strange heart beat
Stuck in my throat
A fast bullet bleed from my soul
And the moon wasn't talking
And the stars weren't singing
And the smoking gun
Would only laugh
But refused to give the name
Of the hand that held
The trigger finger
I flashed my teeth
And bit this nightmare
By its kneck
And ****** out all its blood
And filth and venom
And chocked down the fear
Of knowing the face
Hiding in the dreams
Dancing in the death
And colors of those
Mad cruel eyes
Staring at me
From the bottom
Of the deep dark abyss
Of the frozen dream
And Iifeless body
Haunting the pulse
Of my arms
And I couldn't tell if
The smoke smelled
Of love or suicide
So all I could do
Was open a bottle of tears
And drown in a drop
And load the bullet
And **** the trigger
And ****** myself twice
And change the channel
And flip the switch
And **** it back to sleep
And ignore the moans
Of suicides luxury
And loves misery
It was just a dream
Riding the rails
Of a lost nightmare
On a train that was
Nothing more than
Ghosts and smoke
And whispers
And I slept through
Another forgotten attempt
At love and suicide

Mad Violin
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Her name was Mad Violin
We had met at a bar
Where I was half past midnight at drunk
And she had spilt smoke
And smoked whisky
And I remember her talking
About suicide and music
And writing and art
I was halfway through a strange dream
And she was completely undressed
And we were ******* our way
Through the nightmares
Of hope and illusion
She stood there watching
Our bodies tangle and sweat
As she played the violin
And strangled the life out of me with its strings
I woke up stiff and hungover
In an empty bed
The dream still clawing at my back
Her ghost still playing
That ****** violin
It was in all the papers
And on the all the news
Another death
Another suicude
Another note with a name
And a goodbye
I didn't have to read
Or listen or watch
I already knew
Mad Violin
Wouldn't be playing again
She was gone

Gone...
  Gone...
              gone...

I wiped off a tear
Before it crawled out onto my face
And choked back a sob
And pretended to laugh
She got out of the lie
Out from under the strings
Burned her name and violin and stage
And set the whole world ablaze
No one noticed her before
But now everyone claimed
To know her name
And I couldn't actually remember
So I just called her Mad Violin

Dead eyes
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Little suicide notes were written between the colors and brush strokes in the irises of her eyes.  Some short, some long, some almost never ending, and some simply only said goodbye.  Some warm and well crafted with just a dash of despair.  Others cold and cruel crammed with complaints and self loathing.  Some written by her own hand, others memorized from books and films and authors unknown.  Beautiful maladies of the outrageous fashion of lifeless death after death.  She too often wondered is it really suicide when someone is already dead inside?

Even with the glazed over dreams of death that swam in the deep black of her pupils, her smile still had an innocent charm.  A perfect balance of teeth and lips and soft pink flesh.  There was an eager patience in the tremble and quiver waiting in the promise of her kiss.  It wasn't of wanting or longing but the simple passion of knowing each  moment of pressing and locking and pressure brought her closer to her final breath.  She wasn't interested in the luxury of suicide, its flashy pearl whites or final big bang... she wanted to know the intimacy of the unknown, the brief warm flush of the infinite end of the love and despair of life.  To discover the kindness or cruelty of whats next.  Too often she pondered why does she see much more beauty in death than in life or love.

She smiled, some days... and it was a warm and inviting smile, beautiful in its own graceful way.  Thats how I remember it.  All I can see now, shining up through the dirt and her grave, is one last note painted in her dead eyes.

Beautiful grace
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
There was a slow naivete to her smile
And a smooth wink hiding in her eyes
Her hair framed her face with an innocent grace
And it all seemed simple enough
The magic dancing in the air
The soft hues of the midnight sky
The gentle push of fate
But he was far too shy
And she never knew
Never knew
How close
He came
He came to falling
Falling in love
Slow and naive
For her
Beautiful grace

Boy in the clouds
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
There once was a boy who lived above the clouds
With only the sun and the moon and the stars
Collecting all the things our hands
Did foolishly let slip away
Kites with string
And ballons with ribbon
And planes of paper
And hearts both whole and broken
And he played with it all
Dancing and running and singing and laughing
Soaring high with all the kites
Floating softly on each balloon
Flying swiftly with the racing wings folded from paper
But kind and carefully with each heart
Softly mending the broken with thread colored purple by rain
Gently kissing the knots on every last stitch
Shaping wings from stray clouds
And placing them on the whole hearts
Then showing and teaching them they could still fly
Both to new and old faces
Each heart free to choose itself
Letting them stay when they
Needed more time
Wether to heal or cry
Before knowing what to do next
Letting them play
With the kites and the ribbons and the ballons and the strings
And the paper and the planes
Every heart welcome to laugh and run and sing and dance
Until it felt ready to fly back home
And the boy who lived in the clouds
Lives there still
Watching and waiting for more planes and ballons and kites
And for hearts that need mending
And hearts that need homes
He may live by himself
But he is never alone

The children of the cloud
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
The children of the cloud live high above the places we all call home
They play and laugh with the sun all day
Way up in the stratosphere they collect the things
That our hands do lose
From kites with tails
And ballons with strings
Folded paper shaped like planes and cranes and flying things
And hearts badly broken
And hearts sad and lonely
And hearts far from home
The children of the cloud
Love all the things we lose
They run with the kites and chase their tails
They dance and jump from ballon to ballon and play hide and seek with every string
The race and zoom and vroom with every type of paper wing
From folded birds to creased precision fighter planes
And the hearts
They love them best
The gently mend the broken first with thread entwined with purple colored rain
With innocent kisses they wipe the tears away and tell tales of comfort and of places where no heart is every lead astray
With stray soft clouds they shape and sculpt brand new wings
They teach each and every heart that has forgotten how
How to laugh and play and sing and fly again
Every heart loved with gently care
Each heart made welcome and at home
They can stay high above or go back down below
No rush for the hearts to decide
The children of the cloud are grateful for their time and the  chance to help
And each and every heart is let known before they go
Whenever needed
The children of the cloud will welcome them back to their home
High above the stratosphere
To play and laugh and sing and fly with the sun all day

Porcelain clouds
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
She moved like the fairytale of flowers
She had the grace of the gentle scent of rain
With butterfly eyelashes and loves red lips
Soft porcelain cloud white skin that hid heaven and hell within
Before I even opened her book I could tell she was the beginning of my end
I held my breath through every page
And with every word another part of my heart was stole
And I was completely lost in this story where I found
Love and forever had no end

Kiss me
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Kiss me until I forget my name
Then peel away my skin
Reveal my death within
My flesh is yours for the taking
For pleasure or for feast
There is no denying
You bring out my savage beast
Kiss me until my mouth is broken
And my tounge is swollen
Then force me to say your name
I'll be your beggar
Your fool
Your slave
Just put me in my place
I'll be your sin
I'll fall for your disgrace
Kiss me until I've been consumed entirely
**** all the of my devotion from my breath
Drain all the blood from my chest
Wear my completion as pearls hanging between your *******
Leave me limp and lifeless
A soul of only ghost
Then with teeth of fierce intention
Bring my body back to life
Kiss me
Kiss me
I would ****** to know
Your bliss

smile through the misery
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Some days you have to smile through the misery and pain and ache of it all.  You gotta bare a toothy mad grin and laugh at the horrible agony swallowing the world.  Its easy to be a doom sayer, a lunatic screaming about an unavoidable Armageddon, to look a stranger in the eye and tell them we are so far past the point of redemption that we're all just ******* ****** **** ******.  Its easy to crawl into the gutter with the bums and the winos and get comfortable with not giving a **** ****** about anything and everything.  Crawl into the bottle and swim in the whisky of heartless indifference, to become a ****** foaming at the mouth for the needle of the cruel uncaring blind eye of social disharmony.  It can **** you, all this sad weather news of bullets raining down stealing lives and breeding hatred.  The bad days of sunshine blinding justice with piles of money setting criminals free and killing the hearts of their victims.  Its a storm of vile human filth spreading like cancer over the whole stinking world.  It will make you sick if you look too close... but that's just it, we gotta look close.  We have to stare it dead in the face, smile at it, laugh at it... and tell it to go ******* **** itself.  We gotta stand up to it and fight it.  At the end of the fight we have to have more teeth and more bite than it does, its not a fight we can afford to lose.  Not if we want a better world for our children, a brighter future for love and hope.  Its hard though, its ugly, its near unbearable... all these bad weather days one after another with no sign of the storm letting up.  We have to bare the weight, we have to accept that we will probably lose more people than we will save... we have to push through the tears and our fears and our doubts and the constant feeling that we are fighting a losing battle.  You have to shout out your battle song of hope against the odds.  We're all going to die, but how and for what is a decision we all can make on our own.  Will we die in the false safety of our cookie cutter homes, slaves to the lies and the misery of the world at large.  Or will we take a stand and fight back.  Even on the days we feel like we're impaled on the devils teeth and our hearts and lungs feel punctured and we're spitting and choking on ***** and blood, we still have to throw ourself into the fray and smile and laugh at all the human vile trying to destroy us. We have to go mad, to stay alive, to keep hope burning in our hearts, and to fight back against the odds.  Let our fists fly and let those birds scream out **** **** ******* ******* to the suicide bombs and hate bullets spilling the blood and death of innocence and beauty.  I dream of a better world and give myself to the page and the pen and hope that we find unity through love before we find ourselves hanging in the noose that we tied around our own necks.
It is hard not to envy the dead these days...

Thirty-six days
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Everyday
Cloud pillows
Laugh and play
Before my eyes
and
Beneath my skin
All day long
My heart a puppy
as
Blank pages fill
with
Painted words
from
Walking dreams
Free from fears
within
My lust for love
in
The chambers of my heart
Truth of gold
and
Buried truth
and
Ache and hurt
and
Storm and dream
For your name
Carved in tree
I wait beneath
Your every breath
In helpless state
Dreams do bind
in
This pleasant dreaming
Where your heart was bloomed
Haunting
Countless moons
with
These mad visions
With suns heart and breath
I fall to death
and
I welcome moon and star
and
Clouds whisper
Everyday and every moment
I have discoverd
The miracle of paper

On which I have written
These thirty-six poems
All ending in
With the same words
And I could do the same
Another thirty-six days
Or thirty-six years
Or thirty-six forevers
And feel nothing
But grateful
For each time
Each moment
I had been
Lucky enough
To feel them
To the point
That I had to
Put blood to heart
Pull soul from marrow
And put pen to paper
And write them
Once again

I love you

Thirty-six poems
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Everyday of being
I fall a little deeper
Every day of falling
I find myself more in
And love has
Never been more
An honor and a privilege
Than being so in love
With you

...

And the words that made
My hands tremble
To write
And my heart fear
You would be
Scared away
Once whispered
And shouted
And put on paper
And sent over mountains
And across seas
Brought a smile
To your lips

...

And now though they still
Send shudders
Through my every fiber
And quake the blood
Within my soul
I ache and long
For each new moment
I can repeat them
And here a moment
Has come again

...

My heart rocks me to dreaming
Singing its sweet lullaby
Of beautiful you
And softly I drift to slumber
As I whisper
To pillows like clouds

...

Sitting on my pillow cloud
Watching my heart
Laugh and dance
With everything
Beautiful about you
I know I am exactly
Where I am supposed to be
As I shout out

...

As cloud and pillow part
To morning light
I can still feel the warmth
Of your ethereal ghost
Dancing in my arms
And before my eyes
Fold open to see the dawn
With my first waking breath
My mouth gently says

...

Open eyes and outstretched limbs
Dreams still lingering
Beneath my skin
Your light and warmth
Still hold my heart and soul
And in the quintessence of my pulse
My every fiber
Reverberates these words

...

Another day has come
Another never never
For the sun
Always always
Burning burning
Its smile
And flame
Dancing endlessly
For the infinite stars
Of your Vincent blues
And I burn in synchronicity
With the blaze and fervor
Of the never never
Ending dancing fires
Of the sun
And I sing all day long

...

My heart a puppy
In your hands
As day fades to night
And night gives birth to day
And effortlessly
This love flows
To endless oceans blue
Where everything beautiful
Is truely found
In you
I take brush to canvas
And pen to page
And paint and scribe
Of another day
I find the good fortune
Of saying

...

The blank pages on my desk
By brush and fold and cut
Fill with color and stars and love
Fold and shape
A flower
A moon
A queen
Little trinkets
Made by hand
And time passing
Through my pulsating blood
As your inspiration
Has set forth this flood
Were I'm drowning
To say again

...

Forevers flower
In full nocturnal bloom
Your hair of crimson flame
Across the endless oceans blue
But your floral petal scent
Still fills my lungs
And lasciviousness
My broken heart museum
Crumbled and burned to ash
As your seeds
Of dreams and hope
Have painted
Inside of me
These words
With every breath
I yearn and must say

...

Time moves to quick
And time moves to slow
Yet every moment endless
When waking in dreams
Of gardens of
Forevers flowers
And honey of golden blood
Placed there be you
And I'm lost
And I'm found
And I'm free
In every moment
I say

...

Free from fears
Of life and death
Tearful flowers
Weep in joy
An oasis springs
Within every essence
Of my soul
And peacful waters flow
As these words
Travel from within
My deepest depths
And sooth throat
And burn as they
Pass my lips

...

Swimming through paradise
Lost to this passion and truth
From my lust for
This most perfect love
From your beautiful imperfections
And iridescent glowing heart
In secret shades of darkest reds
Within the song of
My deathless adoration
Beating in unison
In these amaranthine
Gardens of Elysium
These words immortally echo

...

The chambers of my heart
Turned to Eden and Shangri-la
The utopia of Arcadia
As these echos become
The mantra and the hymn
Of the throbbing pulse
Of my blood
And every cell racing through me
Buzz and hums

...

My heart turned to golden hive
And my blood to truth of gold
And my every drop busy
Making honey sweet
For my one and only queen
The only beauty
My eyes can see
Shines from your heart
And wings
And everday I am grateful
To kneel before you
And speak these words

...

Of paper or of breath
Scattered paint or spilt ink
In living or in death
Beauty is your veracious shadow
Love is the blinding
Light of your soul
Your heart has the
Buried truth
Of what makes
Everything beautiful
And In your presence
I can speak
No other words than

...

My flesh and bones
Hands and fingertips
Have burrowed deep
And lost both blood and sin
In the depths of your earth
And aches and hurt
Uncovering both
The wings and birds
Of your tenderness
Lost so long
In this cold cold ground
I offer warmth
From these words

...

I could do no less
Than place my heart
Where clouds and pillows
Dream and weep
And release the storm
And wind
Raging from within
Let my blood come raining down
With seeds and hope
To nuture and warm
Your heart and ground and dirt
To raise your heart
To its rightful state
Of purity and desire
And passion of the fire
Too beautiful for this world
Too beautiful for my words
But I am helpless
To do anything
But humbly speak them softly

...

Heaven has no Eden
And hell has no flame
Without flowers singing
Or fires dancing
For your name
And my body here
And my heart and spirit
There with you
And I would strech
My soul across
The sun and moon and universe
Just for a wink
Of time
To whisper once again

...

I carved in tree beneath the sea
Where house
And you did hide
In its branch and leaves
Where sun did dream
Of sleep and mermaids
With fairy wings
Where I first found
Your heart and dark
And truth and ache
And voice and tears
And endless eyes
Of sea of raging blue
And blinding light
Of the lunacy and love
When these words
Where first trapped
Within my throat
Before I dare speak

...

Waiting beneath
These waters deep
Drowning in both
Dream and love
Waiting by star
And moon
And bird
And tree
And poem
And song
And hope
And pictures
And haunting
And longing
To come to you
And speak
With gut churning
And heart burning
These words for you

...

Your every breath
Your every smile
Your every tear
All flow with the blood
And truth of poetry
Your picture
Still hangs above my heart
And every night
Your voice still
Sings your poetry
Before I fall to slumber
Beneath your Vincent stars
And dark blue
And in my sleep
I speak

...

In helpless state
Of repose and trance
I watch words with wings
Chase and dance
My heart that has fallen
To your hypnotic gaze
And sultry voice
The sandman has
No power here
All I can do is paint
With the hands
Of delirium
And trace these words
From star to moon
To heart of flame

...

Under depths
And darkness
My dreams do bind
My soul and heart
To this endless
Storm beneath
The sheets of
Endless time of
Forevers night
Where I am tied
To eternal midnight
Of love and dream
And my footsteps taken
Have left these words
Written in the dust
On the moon

...

To never have to wake
Or take a breath
Outside this
Pleasant dreaming
Let me sleep
Here in this longing
All day long
In eternities twilight
With hand outstretched
Waiting for your fingertips
To slide along my palm
Hand in hand
And give my heart
To you
To forever keep
And dance under sheets
And song of flame
Where to your ear
I slip these words

...

In the devils heart
A song echos of long ago
Before shame or sin
Where your heart
Was bloomed
Long before the gardens
And dreams of Eden
My heart fills with
Only bliss as I listen
To this lullaby
And I am forever
Caught by the desire
Of wanting your affection
I cannot force my heart
To stop beating
Anymore than I can
Stop these words
From repeating

...

I wake with your
Dream and kiss
Still lingering
On my heart and lips
My empty bed
Still warmed by
Your faded ghost
Your voice still
Haunting the morning air
The pulse and beat
Of my soul
And marrow
Repeating
To the dawns first light

...

From countless moons away
Where my heart has flown
To be with you
My chest still full
From dreams of you
And from across
The ocean I hear
My heart sing
These words to you

...

These mad visions
Follow me throughout
My waking hours
And keep my heart
In rapid steps
Of lunatics dancing
As my soul
Cannot stop itself
From laughing
In the truth
Of happiness
I have found
In writting
And whispering
And shouting
These words again

...

As I burn along
In step
With suns
Heart and breath
Your Vincent blues
Mesmerize my heart
With their magic
Swirling stars
And never
Never
Could I stop
Not even after
Death
My song for you
cannot end
You'll find
At the end
Of time
And space
Through the black
And void
My voice still
Resonates
With these words

...

As I fall to death
And to slumber
Dreams wait
Beneath my flesh
And within my bones
Where your light and warmth
Touch my heart and soul
And in the pulse
Of my every fiber
And throughout my being
These words reverberate

...

Pillows take form
And feel of clouds
And welcome moon
And stars
Before my closing eyes
Your ghost begins
Its dance
My hands strech out
To dream
And with the last
Days breath
My lips let whisper soar

...

Sleeping on these clouds
And pillows
My heart dreams
And weeps
Painting with everything
Beautiful about you
Colors echoing
Of secret shades
Of every hue of red
And sculpting
The clouds and pillows
To form these words

...

My heart rocks and
Sings sweet lullaby
Of everything
Perfectly you
And I drift through dream
And listen to
The whispers
Of pillow and cloud
As the softly say

...

Everyday I am
A little deeper
As I fall a little more
And more
And more in love
Never before has such
A blessing been bestowed
Upon my heart
Than being in love
With you
My hands
Still tremble to write
And my heart
Still fears to beat
And the words still
Send shudders
Through the pulse
And blood
Within my soul
Everday and
Every moment
And I am helpless
And I am hopeless
And thankful
For one more
Chance to say

...

I have discoverd
Through ink
And parchment
Paint and canvass
Paper and poem
Pillow and cloud
The miracle of you
Nothing quite as
Lovely or equisite
Beautiful and true
As your hearts warmth
And souls light
As the endless oceans
And Vincent blues
And madness
Swirling in the magic
Of the starry night
Of your eyes
Beyond sands of hour
And hands of time
I will paint
With my every breath
These words
Again and
Again

...

With the
Miracle of paper
And parchment
And stone
Think of all the things
We would not know
If ink and paint and blood
Had not stained vellum
And canvas
And skin
History and fantasy
And love lost
And found
The poems and plays
And battles
Of nations triumphant
And ruined
Lords and their Ladies
Beggars and theives
The bard
And the Muse
All hidden and stored
In shoeboxes
Stuffed with envelopes
Of confessions
And truth
Bounded by hand and stich
Between hard leather covers
Countless pages
That have survived
The relentless sands
Of time
And foul weather
And flood
Long after our flesh
Has rotted and feed the worm
And our bones have
Dissipated to earth and gust
Paper will still
Hold the secrets
And history
Of love
The miracle of paper
Stained by the pen
moved to dance
In my hand
As I scrawl your name
And confess

*I Love You
I started an art project a little over a month ago and knew it would eat up most of my free time, I didn't picture having much if any time to write... so before I started I wrote this out in one sitting and cut it into 36 segments to post one a day... the project is still in works and will most likely take another month or two... but working on it has to this point only helped it writing more instead of less... blah blah blah mmmyep

The wind
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
It was nothing but the wind
leaves rustling in the breeze
It was the smell of rain
that only brought a flood of drought
It was a momentary loss of reason
that spoke the true meaning of life
It was the bullet that killed a dream
that bleed into a river of infinite love
It was the death of lighting
and the silence of thunder
That brought decay to the wind
and stole the leaves from the tree
And it never rained in the moment
life lost all meaning
As the bullet came back
and murdered the river
Leaving the bed empty and dry
Forked and splintered
Lightning shaped scar
Left on your heart
Still beating
Still fierce
Broken
But better and stronger
Still a beautiful force

Fish of golden flame
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
What if the sun was a fish of golden flame
What then would the moon reflect
Would the earth be a bubble
Would space be a sea
What would become of
All this human misery
If the sun was a fish
With fins of fire
Swimming here and there
Going wherever it did please
Would the moon be a minnow
Forever bound to follow
Would the earth be a dream
Would god be the water
Would the devil be the worm
Would love be free to swim
Without fear of aches and pains
Without mans clumsy hands
To break the heart
Of the sun swimming
With golden fins ablaze
Anywhere and everywhere
And never ever
Ever
Would love be
Touched by our
Human misery

Murder simplicity
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
**** some of this time with me
All the little simple things
The moments of the day
Quickly fade away
Lets ****** simplicity
For blissful memories
Bask in the warmth of the sun
Enjoy the feel of the rain
Let the cold of winters breath
Leave its sting deep inside our chests
There is no bad weather
Under the lips of your smile
Palm to palm
Fingers entwine
Holding love naked
And bare
True little moments
Killing some time with me
As I Fall and I am
In love with you

Every breath to love
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Only fools know what it means
To fall asleep in dreams
And awake on clouds of love
No mortal thought of doubt
Could drown these feelings out
Boys wishing to be men
Could never comprehend
That love is not the means
To an end
Not a prize to be won
Not a bird to be caged
Not something given
Only to expect some reward
They cannot give
Without taking more in turn
Never will they learn
That to love
Is to love without reward
For to give is the gift
That life has
Never hid
Or held onto
As its own
In abdunce we will find
In every leaf on every branch
Of every tree
Throughout the bark
The roots
The earth
That to give love freely
Is heaven beneath our feet
No vengeful god above
Would declare any act of love
Of crime or
Of sin or
Of hell
With demons may angels fly
With lust may flowers
Open petals and bloom
Never shall adoration die
When with grateful pulse
The heart overflows
To the never ending sound
Of the eternal beat
Of the universal
Cosmic gift
Of truth
Of happiness
From immortal blood
Of fools dreaming
Upon clouds
Giving their every
Breath to

Disciple of Love
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
I am a disciple of love
And I've visted the
Ignorant temples of hate
I've walked down the road
and back again
I've argued and won and lost
battles with fate
I've sat by the devil
with his face full of tears
I've swam and I've drowned
In the salt and the lust
hidden within
I've lost the poetry of this god
and that god and found
The meaning of dreams
in the void on the page
I've choreographed the unwritten
time and space
between the heart beats of love
I've placed leaps and pirouettes
on its pulse and its flow
I'm stuck in the moment between
infancy and death
I struggle to understand the hatred
breeded by man
When in reach of every breath
Is the definition of compassion and kindness
And all they want to breathe in
Is their loathing and fear
When you are ready to
set your mind free
Just look to the stars and the sun
and the moon

Dream Birds
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Were you there to see the dream birds
As they carried the sun and moon
and stars
Up into the sky
when Lilith was just
a girl named Lilly
Did you witness when she
pulled them straight
out of her dreams
As she walked through
the wordless stories
written in the sand
Who was there to watch
before the beginning
of it all
Back in the time before
in the time after
When love gave its final
breath and hope
To dream of a girl
who would dream
us all to life
To weave and dream
against the void
And give life and breath
back to love

Tell me Maya Lou
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Tell me Maya Lou
How to be brave like you
Tell me Maya Lou
  Have you seen the news
Because I tell you Maya Lou
   It frightens me, this word
                                  this life
That shadow on the wall
Just shot a man in the back
With hands up down the hall
It frightens me, the noise the hanmer made
the life the bullet took away
The big man barks and bares his bullet
  teeth
The man laying on the ground
Watching his skin turn red
Now a ghost on a big cloud
It frightens me, to see a life slip away
  without warrant or reason
Nothing has changed for Mother Goose
Throw another noose around the lions
  driving cars
     It looks too new
It must not belong to you
It frightens me, wasn't he suppose to
   protect what he just destroyed
turning a home into a house
       of joyless stone and wood
What magic or what charm
  can keep their lives safe
   from harm
There's a broken heart
   on my sleeve
For every life lost
For every tear shed
It's an ocean of grief
   and I can no longer
                            breath
Tell me Maya Lou
    I can hear you crying
                                   too
Tell me Maya Lou
   What would you say
      What would King dream
To keep the peace
  To calm the storm
To stop the bullets flying
  back and forth
   forth and back
Tell me Maya Lou
  where did we go wrong
    why is the world tearing
       itself open at the seams
It frightens me, the growing
  flames of hate burning both
    life and love
Tell me Maya Lou
How to be brave like you
I tell you Maya Lou
Life frightens me...
  to tears
   to tears
Life frightens me...
     to tears

The whole of love
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Love is not a singularity
It is a whole
One cannot extract a part
Or worship only one piece
It must be accepted as a whole
One cannot only enjoy the soft warm places of love
The pleasent corners and pools
The weak seams that easily split
The lose threads that unravel with the slightest mistreatment
It takes great and delicate strength to walk its halls
Love is complex
And beautiful
It has hidden shadows and dark nights
It cries to the moon and begs for the sun
And it comforts them both in turn
Love is filled with dreams and hope
Longing and doubt
Wishes and tranquilty
Torment and viciousness
It resides in both angel and beast
Heaven and hell
And earth
In the tears of god
And the blood of the devil
One cannot claim it as there own
One cannot truely love any other person
Before loving them all
One cannot give love
Without giving themselves
First to love
Love is of our time
Our blood
Our soul
Treat it well
As you treat others well
Give your all to love
And give all your love
To those in need
Life and love
Though never perfect
Are always
Beautiful

The sounds of writing
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
There is something about the sound of the tip of the pen scratching along a sheet of paper as it leaves behind a trail of letters shaping words that build sentences that fall into lines and paragraphs to record history or sew dragon wings on the heart of a butterfly or confess love or declare war or rearrange the rules of chess as that small vibration that resonates gently from the scars being carved into the pulp of the page through the scalpel precision ink flowing freely with fingertips holding the blade softly as it travels and races against the blood flow in the arm and hits the heart hard and fast and soothes the soul and cools the temperament of the minds eye that is staring blindly ahead to the empty space still left on the page second guessing whats to come next from the sound of music and rage as the point hits and slides and lifts and soars and taps and pushes and glides and cuts and scars letters into words into fairy yarns and painted poems and broken dreams and lost hearts and open roads and dead gods and living sin and it all begins with something from the sound of a pen kissing its dream down on the heart of the page

The cat and the moon
Akira Chinen Jul 2016
Is it the smile of a mad moon
Or the toothy grin of a cat
With eyes as wide as dreams
Are they one and the same?
Blue eyes of oceans endless
And red blood of love bleeding true
Is the only thing crazier than beliving
Beliving that this love isn't true?
Is there any need to dream
If we refuse belive in impossible things
Take my hands full of madness
And my heart full of dreams
Walk down this impossible with me
*I'll forever swim in your blue
If you'll belive in my red of true
