Let people be free.
Let the people see.
Don’t hide any more,
Behind closed doors.
Come out into the sun
There is work to be done
And for better or worse
The people come first.

Our current incentives
To our representatives
Should not be the cash
From planning a crash.
They have solid connections
Of bribes and our elections.
It is simply not even funny;
The rich get all the money.

Let people be free.
Let the people see.
Don’t hide any more,
Behind closed doors.
Come out into the sun
There is work to be done
And for better or worse
The people come first.

We need so very badly
To  not look on life sadly
And feel there is no way out.
We need to stand and shout.
We need to call criminals
Nothing so subliminal
As conservatives when they
Are crooks in proud display.

Sabrina
Blue eyes, green shirt
he knows how to hit me
where it hurts
Flash a smile
and wink an eye
who knew
I'd be hypnotized
I'll go out on a limb
and talk to him
I'll let you know
if it works out
but until then,
let's go, I'm out.
p.s. it did not work out

Colette Williams
I crawl into bed, naked,
Leaving no excuse to leave.
My body melts into the sheets,
Every limb relaxing,
Every part of me letting go,
Except for my mind.
It races and demands my attention,
Like a child incessantly tugging at my sleeve.
I turn over and pull the blanket up.
Warmth envelopes my fears,
Engulfes my cares.
Still, my stubborn brain carries on.
I fight back with vivid fantasies of closing my heavy eyes.
A fight that I win, at least for tonight.
Goodnight body, goodnight mind.
Tomorrow is another day.

Lay me down
      in those fields
         of silken flowers
        where the buzzing
        over our heads
       whirls us into
   lightspun holy
my dress a metaphor
for loneliness
as you lift it off
and let it disintegrate
into the evening's
electric ether
your lips
    undoing the tight
       leather laces
        that have held my
     heart in place
until now
Now.
undo them
   in unfurled totality
let my feminine essence
drip, in non-verbal words
onto your fingers
let my elements
   light you up
    from within
firebrand sunset
in molten metallic sheen
indigo lip of ocean
melding into crackling
            hiss of earth
               and humming
                   under this
                dark rich loam
              tiny vibrating buds
     sprout from fossils
trilobites become
hazy with new moss
seething insects
lay eggs and spawn
feeling the bloodpulse,
that simmer of surface
in slick magnet energy
Curled stems of wild
poppies and zinnia
tie down my wrists
snake around my thighs
clasp my
tender-***** ankles
as if to open me
up even more
than I thought
            my soul
                   could go
and I do not resist
for soon they will
accompany you
as you decorate my
deepest womb
              with blossoms
filling me with your
soul's seed
your musk-scented fervor
nestled, subaqueous
into the root of
my sweet
       deep
of
  need
