Oh s'cuze me
Just gonna squeeze by here
In the height of the lunch time hustle,
Espresso machine hissing,
The pastries evenly placed in the cabinet.
This place feels like home.

With a mom who bakes,
And a dad who cares,
A latte streamed to perfection
This place feels like a hug

This cozy nook craved out of the past,
Allows space for God to be heard,
And for the world to listen.
Welcome back.

For what once I finally thought would be an addition ended in an addiction.
The eyes that glow when we walk into the room,
The eyes that wander from across the room
But no words spoken.

And not because the blood isn't there
The desire of the affairs, the heat of the bodies..
But no words spoken.

The eyes still wander, the passion still lays, the hope for more and
The heartbreak to know it won't
But no words spoken.
Thank you for those who followed and connected on my 4 part saga, we are still good friends with this couple, they unfortunately need to figure there connection out first, and be able to open up a conversation about it
I push your against your skin
As I sneak to get passed

I grabbed your face
To hold your tearing eyes close

The thoughts aren't as impure
As some would think

Just to say goodbye
Without a kiss

It's like they all left..

Projects half done..

A guarded gate, with nothing
But a latch.

The sign says welcome,
The iron disagrees.

Picnic tables wasting away,
Yet to host a family.

A moment together
Is not often enough

I craved the glance
Even for as slight as a moment

The passing of our skin
As you refill my drink
A couple of 4
No, I don't want to leave you
Like they said I would
For failing your mission
But she wants to challenge you.

She rises up,
Sweat from the eyebrow
Dirt on the knees
Fingers callased

She comes for the soul
Piercing at a fragile ego
Leaving you weak or
Submitting to a man
Have you met the sisters
