CHRIST, THE WORD OF GOD
So much the word stands for the man
and it can make him strong or weak.
It can build towers of great heights
or wreck a bridge where hope exists.

The word is what a person is.
It is the gist of all his soul.
It can express what gives him joy
or can his cheerfulness destroy.

A word is what can raise morale
when heard from one who is so dear.
It can make children mighty men
who bring the world what great men yield.

The Word of God is our Lord,
Who has performed His Father’s will
and made a heaven from the earth
by living in the hearts of all.

ONLY JESUS HAS THESE GIFTS.
A man may love a girl to reach a goal.
It is so precious as it calms his dreams.
A goal that makes him cool, emotions climb
to reach where angels can construct their home.

Why do we find refuge in our Lord?
We find in Him the hope that can reduce
a sense in us that shows we are so weak;
we need what children do, those guarding two.

Who can supply with nerves when we feel death
is able to uproot mankind from life
and plant us in a cave so full of gloom
where none to speak or say a soothing word?

It’s not just fear, but we love parents dear
for their kind words and kisses of great bliss.
Just Jesus can afford this needed love
which none will yield except His cross and words.

YOU ARE OUR FULL DELIGHT.
What is elation but to feel that Christ
is living in your house, and you He shares
your daily life and love to your household
and makes you strong to feel that none gives fear.

You feel you have attained all what you want.
All what you have to do gets sweet and great.
As long as Christ is near, all will be dear
if only he will stay just in our sight.

We’ve got Whose look gives us the trust we need
to feel that life is joy with such a Friend.
All will be fine with me, my wife and kids
as we have gained the sense of being with God.

How great is our Lord; He makes us see
all who are in the house and all around
are living such a faith that makes us feel
we’re born to live what is the full delight.

CAN THIS EARN YOUR SMILE, LORD?
My Lord, Your love has reached such an extreme.
I feel the greatness of Your noble ways.
You came to earth to die and save mankind
and wash the sins they have, which aren’t Your own.

I know that love can reach such high extent,
but where is That Who is on such a throne,
Who leaves his scepter and descends to earth
and dies in such a way by hands He loves.

You came and died just as a sacrifice
and those You loved prepared Your painful cross.
Just ere Your death, You asked Your Father dear,
“Forgive them, Lord; they don’t know what they’ve done.”

Where am I, Lord, from such heroic acts?
I’m weak but I still say, “I love You, Christ.
I know my love is great, and want You pleased.
I don’t ken what to do to make You smile.

CAN THIS DREAM COME TRUE?
My Lord, I know that I’m obsessed
with some emotions that are deep.
I love You, Lord, and I’m quite sure
Your love will give me lots of strength.

This strength can give me perfect rest
that grants me trust to speak with You.
You speak with some or give a hint.
Please, let me be one of those few.

My life depends on just a word.
It will be full of glee and joy.
Don’t leave me waiting and not sure.
I know You are so meek and kind.

I’ll be so glad and full of grace
to have You always close to me.
I’d be Your slave and proudest one
if You accept my hoped request.

FAITH, THE UNSEEN DAWN
The way true faith is drawn must be well seen
before you do what Jesus wants from man.
We should be sure that faith is quite abstract
resembling what the superstition’s like.

But each is what the other will condemn.
Where are the acts of Satans from the saints?
The saints are like the snow that’s pure and white
while Satans’ snares are in a place too dark.

Give us the hearts that that Jesus like in kids.
There we can look for faith that children have
in parents who are there, and they would stick
so close to safety which has endless love.

What are you faith but that cool dawn of light
that has the softness which the eyes would crave
to absorb what they can from early morn
and give to life when it gets too obscure.

SOUL, BUT ALSO BODY
The saints obtained the grace that made
their souls so filled with holy faith
to live a life quite full of rest
and shining moons to fill their nights.

They were so cheerful as they lived
some bliss that they would find above.
They got sure that life would not end
and they would move from joy to grace.

That made them glad, but had a price.
that would depend on their steel force.
Could they accept to die so soon
on hurting cross or in hot oil?

That would depend on earthly strength.
Did they have what the Lord had owned.
He held His cross, but could they hold
a painful death in boiling oil?

That would count on what they could bear
with their flesh muscles and their will.
If they'd been weak, they would have failed
as faith would fail for lack of might.
