I write for her
Though I don't think she knows
My heart like my words
To her I hope they'll flow.

I must confess
As I undress
The sins I carry
I cannot bury

They haunt in the night
And even in the light
They follow close
But never are they seen

Save for me in my nightmares
And every time between

Will they ever leave me
There's only one who can say
I'm hopeful To meet him
On my last day

Back to the happiness
My little pills bring
My heart was a'flutter
And now does it sting

Some things in life
Are just not meant to be
What will happen next
I'll have to wait and see

Alas I've found another Muse
She knows not yet
But still it's true

For from inside
Inspiration again flows
Until that time
Like the rest she shall go
pain hits my soul,
more than a thousand times.
I don't worry '*** I know,
that I'm harder than a dime.

I hide all my sorrow,
and cover it up with a smile,
'*** I never know tomorrow,
and what it can do in my life.

I give comfort to others,
bit it seems no one cares if I'm alive.
I don't have to bother,
because God watches over me all the time.

I solve people's problems,
when I haven't started with mine,
but I listen to conscience,
and I believe joy will come when the time is right.
The truth about me
I'm living in anger, I'm living in pain,
but the evil that befalls me, will have no gain.
it is cynical, and it's words always bear shame.
Oh evil, oh evil, how you blacken my days.

it roars with fire, but looks like an angel.
it's evil deeds, are linked together like a pretzel.
it's hiding it's black side, but showing off jewels.
oh evil, oh evil, you better change your ways.

Every word is a curse, and hurts like a knife.
every sight of its face, adds stress to your life.
every breathe that it takes, shrinks your pretty smile.
Oh evil, oh evil, how you hardly die.

A life with evil, is a dark cross to carry.
its pain and struggles, turn tears into blood.
but one day alone, and one day surely,
oh evil, oh evil, you shall reveal your lies.
nothing is hidden under the sun

I'm better off alone
I'm better off cold
I've had my share
of grief and trials
Here upon this earth.
I have lately given thought
To what all these are worth.

There are folks who
Go through life
Blessed beyond compare
They never seem to be inspired
To learn the world's despair.

They have never loved and lost
Stayed dry in the rain
Never had to beg for food
Nor felt a moments pain.

But we are not within this group
We've loved and lost and more
There were many times for us
Cast upon painful shores.

But tho we lost
when love we did
At least we gave and TRIED.
We never laid the blame
Or held bitterness inside.

There's no hatred in our hearts
We've maintained a stance
Of letting people make mistakes
We've given them a chance.

If we'd wanted riches
We could have compromised
If we'd wanted vengance
We could have destroyed lives.

But we didn't do that
Thru bitterness and strife
So, my friend, hats off to US!

We've lived a

WELL SPENT LIFE!!!

To my friend Bernie.
79 years old and I have never heard him say a mean word about anyone.
"Sydney?"

The Young Lady's Green Eyes Looked Up From A Heap Of Homework.

"Yes?"

Her Eyes Examined The Man Which Stood In Front Of Her. His Jet Black Hair Was Now Streaked With Small Strands Of Silver. His Gray Eyes Seemed Tired, But They Were The Same As They've Always Been.

The Man Looked At The Young Women Who Sat Before Him. Her Body Which Was Now Lean And Toned Was Supported By Long Legs. She Was Older Now: Her Heart Shaped Face Was Slightly Worn, But Her Eyes Were As Deep And Green As They'd Always Been.

"Promise Me Something."

The Man Watched The Young Lady As She Examined The Room Around Her; Just As She Had Since She Was A Child. Sometimes He Caught Her Watching A Bird Hopping In The Greenest Of Grasses On A Summer Afternoon, Or Intently Examining The Veins In A Leaf During The Fall Months.

The Young Lady Watched The Man's Thin Lips Set Back Into A Straight Line.

"Promise Me, You'll Always Stay The Same."

The Young Women Smiled As The Man Placed His Hand Upon Her Head; Gently Ruffling Her Soft Brown Hair.

"Daddy, The Only Way I'd Change Is If It Was For The Better."
I Love My Dad. If My Dad Wants You To Stay The Same, You Know You're Doing Something Right.
