Oh, my birthplace
You're filled with goodness
Oh my motherland
You're filled with happiness
Oh, my birthplace!

The cold air in the early sunshine
these all pleasure are mine
There really is no place
without your loving things

Your melody plays in green forests
give me joy and gladness
and the hair of your paddy field
makes me surprised!
These things make me happy.

The tunes and songs of birds
and the pretty smelling flowers
make my soul smile and cold
I'd catch your moon shines!
BE
packed up my old truck and my guitar too
heading on the road to start my life a new

join the country stars with a famous name.
singing at the venues every here and there
along with all the big stars singing everywhere

singing country music is all i long to do

My digits tremble
as ink falls to paper
Drip...
Drip...

I know you’re listening

My eyes blur
as tears fall to smudge
Blink...
Blink...

I know you’re watching

My insides crumble
as these words are written
Creak...
Crash...

Because I know you’re reading
I fell in love with you
at first sight
not in my head,
from the lure of
****** attraction
no, it was simple
and from my heart
it wasn’t deposited there
it appeared --
simple
naked and
whole

it was the sidelong look
you gave me as
we said goodbye
it was the bright smile
with that look
then
there it was -- simple,
naked, and whole
the Pharos light
my wandering soul was seeking
undeniable
ineluctable
remembered

Nursing a head full of questions.
Things left voiceless and unsaid.
Thoughts running errant,
and cracked promises half made.

In my already bloated baggage,
I take in an extra load.
A tourist in a familiar place
stranded by the side of the road.

Should’ve noticed the clues...
Should’ve read the signs along the way...

Now I stand in the middle to nowhere,
reliving yesterday, today.
The sensation I miss most about childhood is the blissful freedom
We could have left this town and ran forever
I had my first kiss in a bowling alley snack bar
Within a Christmas morning star

I associate you with the winter: your shining black hair and cold words
We were both numb and it felt so strong
Could I return to the frozen bridge we would walk over every morning to school?
Making our way back to my house in the bleak afternoon

The best memory I had with you was when we tried to install a ceiling fan but it broke and destroyed the floor
Reminders of words, sharp tongues, and broken nails on trial
I go back to the feeling of my head split in two
I love the winter but I love you more

Wherever you go
There you are
Right there with yourself
Be kind to you
Whatever you do
You are your companion
Refuse to make this journey
With a ****** companion
Treat yourself kindly
Wine thee and dine thee
Smile a lot, and say
No matter what I'm doing
It's gonna be a ****** good day
You are the boss of your own mind
So whatever you do, please be kind
