To be here,
Bathing under sunbeams
Stirring hues aloft our dreams

To be here,
With a cup of courage, a cup of care
A cup of warmth, we both can share

Years and years, smiles and tears
To be here,
Always
A poem for a painting

How true?
Today’s fear’s today’s tears
Scared, but I’ll let it flow
From my fiery eyes, dripping low
It’ll fall, it’ll water
Tomorrow’s gardens, tomorrow’s flowers
Fail again, fail better
Learn, persist and be luckier

Like her,
I’ve never been finite, never been limited
I outstretch, I outreach and I know I’ll win it
Yet, like me,
She’s crying behind locked doors too
Letting tears, help her get through
Granting hurt, just seconds to waste
Then rise back up, like a phoenix with grace
Then I’ll wonder how pretty? I’ll wonder how fiery?
Playing my cards, dreaming
Next to an alpha lady

You know I give so much
Though not much was given to me
You know I feel so much
Though not much is what you feel
They’ll never give back what you give
I never complain, I never speak
Yet sometimes I ask
Am I unlucky?

“Hurry up!”, the blue world saying
Yet when love dives deep, none will be drowning
Beneath the hues, it’ll set your soul burning
Side by side, you’ll find life’s worth living

Tanned, muted
Yet it’ll never fade
Your frailty, your warmth
Your courage, my faith

Gently, it echoes
Yet sometimes it shouts
You know with years and years, I’ll still recall
How you made me smile, after all

One shot for life, one shot for death
Been thrown down under, deep sea bed
Lonely and shaking, yet I swam instead

Limbs are heavy, yet I’ll fight the undertow
Little do they know, I just cried then I’ll glow
Like the bright gold dancing ray of sunshine
A loud talking rainbow among the clouds
I always can, for I always choose to
