Silent Echo
Silent Echo was an inspiration,
A genius poet with a depth of thought I aspired to have.
Though while he was crude at times,
I never once found fault in his rhymes.
Best wishes to you friend,
And I hope soon I'll read your work once again.
Today I learned that Echo has left the platform, I don't know if that's for now or forever, but I hope it's not the later. He was truly an inspiration to me coming up as a writer and I loved every piece he wrote. He truly helped me improve and my work would not be the same without what I learned from his.

Chopping Words
I've got a real honker,
Of a vocabulary.
Many ****** words,
Hairy statements,
Merry installations.
Whacking through words,
Like it's chopping wood.
Perched high above the world,
Rests the poet bird.
A lost species,
Of the lonesome raven family.
Who stands among the branches,
Of the bald willow tree.

He weeps,
For lovers in London.
Split by chance,
Which took one to the heavens,
And left the other alone on the Earth.
But when his eyes dry,
Again he will fly.
With somber stories,
Tucked between his tear stained beak.
For anyone wondering, the subtitle reads "Sad Bird" in Latin. I wanted to style it after a traditional field journal of animals.
I don't speak often,
When I do I don't speak up,
But that can change.

Two colors rule my mind,
A blue hue,
A red fool.

That doesn't me I'll fight,
It certainly doesn't mean I'll lay down to die.

On Its Way
If nothing else,
At least the spring is coming.
My soul may fade like winter,
But at least the snow melts.
I may disappear into the last breath of winter breeze,
Still spring is on its way.
It has to come already it has been winter for too long

Gravedigger
Gravedigger, gravedigger,
Why do you spend you evenings,
Dredging in the yard?

Gravedigger, gravedigger,
Does this break your heart,
That nobody else wanted to do the ***** work,
So they left you to shovel through the mud?
I might've used up my inspiration yesterday.
The streets are frosty,
Blazing white with snow.
The academy has canceled testing,
Because a student has been afflicted with frostbite,
Icy sickness in his fingers.
Welcome to America,
You can go west and burn up,
Or stay to the east and freeze.
This is one crazy winter.

Seasons Of Love
Nothing compares to this spring time love,
Except for one single thing,
The love we'll have in summer.

Yet, even better than that,
The love we'll hold in fall,
Golden and aged like the leaves of oak trees.

But no thing could be greater,
Than the love we'll hold come next winter,
Sleeping in, your warmth by my side.
I can't wait to spend all this time with her

Did They Call
Did they call for you,
When you were low,
When you knew the dirt of ground?

No?
Then don't you dare answer in your house of gold,
They will only come to burn it down.
If success attracted them to you, it will disillusion them too.

Sexualizing
How can someone sexualize,
The way a woman sits?
It's just a funny selfie pose,
I don't want to hear this,
"Is she bad or nah" nonsense.
How creepy is that,
Most men will idolize the simple way,
A woman speaks.
When will we be gone with these creeps?
How ashamed am I,
That a grown man will focus,
On dress coding your shoulders,
While men run rampant with tattoos and drug tee's.
It's creepy how bad this is getting, too many teachers are shooting eyes at my gf and my female friends.
Before I was born,
God looked down at my unfinished fate,
And he declared,
"We shall make him a poet, but he will learn to be,
And not be gifted with."

Well God gifted me,
And sent me down to earth,
In the fall, a season marked by death!
How ironic I was born,
In the month of earth's last breath.

As a young child I played happily,
As the angels of dilemma watched over me,
And every so often sent a tragedy.
That I'd have to foster and live with,
Until I returned to God my poetic gift.
My friend asked for some explanations to my poems, and as I was writing them up I had to pause. Because it hit me right the, never has there not been a moment of my life kissed by dramatic fate.

I don't mind meandering,
But I prefer it with you.
For the river doesn't travel alone,
It's swept up in the beauty of the trees,
Or the glassy grains of the sand.
Whether our path is wavy and wanders,
Or straight to the point.
I will find a certain joy,
In each meandering moment I share with you.

Scrapbook Poem #85
Pay attention,
Listen up.
This a PSA from reality,
And here's what reality has to say.

"Do not light a fire,
If you don't want the smoke,
Do not play with knives,
If you don't want a cut.
Don't waste your time drinking,
If you want to have a life to comfort you,
When you grow up."

There you have it kids,
Don't play with problems,
If you don't want one in your face.
Some people need a raw dose of reality.

Rochester
Poets coming into Rochester,
Welcome to the perfect poetic city!
We're dark in November,
Blinding in May.
Sleepy streets,
Winding roads.
Dinner at a diner,
Welcome to your second home, it's a winner's city for sure.
If you ever come to Rochester I suggest you come in the summer or fall. Stay up late and wake up early, eat at the diners (not the chain ones), visit the pier down at Seabreeze, and make sure to get an air bnb so you can have a backyard fire late into the night.

Guess you learned something new too, aye!

New Flower's Ode
Set upon a walk I did,
Through my hometown,
Silent in the cold.

And as I walked as I did,
I passed by such a mortal sight,
A garden dead,
Which once bloomed in twilight.

And shed a tear I did,
Yet of sadness not,
For I know new flowers will bloom again.
Inspired by classic poetry and it's grim takes of mortality.

I had a dream,
That all love was true,
That was the reason I found you.

It was on the frozen ocean,

We kissed patiently,
As the orchestra played it's lovely tune,
My mind began to stir,
Fading from the thought of you.

If they doubt I'm so young,
But simply agree with the rest,
Does that mean I've finally reached a point,
Where I am so good,
There's only up?
Or will I come crashing down,
Is youth my key to fame,
Will they still read me when I grow old,
And this number fades away?
When my hair thins and grays,
Will my name?
Or will I pave my way to legacy?
My ink has a clock,
I'm afraid of it ticking down.
It's always been a question since day one.

Religion Was Good
Religion was genius,
A system built on brotherhood and loyalty.
Worship was a good idea,
But it was bad to put it in the hands on man.
The broken emotions of mortal ideals,
Took a good thing and destroyed it.
Religious war is the most ****** and disturbing battle of all time.
Who are heroes?
What is heroism?
I'm not sure,

We're at a scary lack of that,
Missing the true selfless values,
Of what we know it to be.

Today it's easy to stumble upon the self proclaimed,
What do they do it for?
For the clout, to move the graph,

Exponential gain.

But I know it's impossible to be pure,
After all, I've purged my heart,
More times than I ought to,

Bright places go dark faster than they should.

It may be consequence,
Of shooting holes in the flood-lights.
Though the sparking is just so entertaining,

Another simple pleasure destroyed by conventional good.
Evil hunts itself.

Because if you were here with me you'd notice my affection,
Right?

Never mind, now I know,
You could never be you for you,
You wouldn't even be you for me.
It's not my fault,
But if it isn't, why does it hurt so bad?
You were the one thing I wanted,
You were my one and only dream.
I put you in front of my needs,
I ignored the water rising to my eyes.
I ignored the feeling of my heart dying inside,
Just for you, Liana.
I did everything for you,
You did nothing for me.

I know why you couldn't.
But darling please,
When I say I love you could you at least respond to me?
