Two hearts take a chance
In the heat of the evening
A lasting embrace

The blizzards of snow, falling straight to the ground,
circle in the wind and block out the sound,
burning my skin and freezing my soul,
yes the winter has taken it's toll.

The dead trees that shed their leaves, I only see a reflection of me,
but no one thinks to dress me up with light.
While the nights are going strong, the drunkards belt out their yuletide songs,
the added up years have turned the phrases trite.

And all those lost souls were tracing angels of the snow,
Using chalk though the white blended in too well.
Seeing the indent and questioning how far it did go,
If this unknowing snow angel had made it's way to Hell.

I inform you if you knew Emily before,
she is now gone, she is now dead.
We found her lifeless body on the dusty floor;
ink injected in veins and mouth choking on lead.
All that was left was coloured poems,
the pages only lacking a shade of grey.
The same messages repeated and cloned,
and written out in several different ways.
Would words ever flow
If thoughts never poured ...

What if ...
They got stagnant
In the Reservoir

And never
Found a channel to the stream.

So,
Let the thoughts pour
and
Make the words flow

Channelled into
The beautiful stream
Forever With
The Rivers of Dreams
Thoughts can only survive in the beauty of words .

If my presence,

Is like a cloud to your sky,

That dimmed your world.

I will walk away;

And rain on another.

Perhaps they would be waiting;

For the rainbow after the rain.

Tiger fierce inside the night
Eyes do burn with light so bright.
Tiger roars untamed with call
to give warning for yes all.

Tiger with its stripes so black
It moves graceful has no lack.
Tiger stays out of your sight,
but he roars with all his might.

Tiger, tiger I love you.
From a distance this is true.
Tiger you walk proud and free.
I do stand and bow to thee.

If you cut it up in pieces,
will you miss the whole unseen

Its DNA in tatters,
and soul now left the scene

In your search for understanding
do your eyes burn hot and fry

From visions tightly woven,
—whose knots you must untie

When your world is brought to rubble,
  with its remnants cast about

Will you try to re-inflate balloons,
whose air has long blown out

But tomorrow there’s a sunrise,
and the next day after that

With not one question you need ask,
  to bring the daylight back

And once you learn this secret,
now at rest upon your nose

Your mind will free with spirit joined,
—their love to recompose

You are mine,

I am yours.

With this bond,

We bind with words.

You shan't leave,

And I shan't hurt,

That is the promise I give to you

Wrapped in wings of love
the angels come
giving me a tickle a smile.

Their presents radiates in sunlight.
in wind that dances on skin.

Wrapped in wings of pure love
the angels come
giving me encouragement.

Their presence makes me sing,
in moment that explodes.

Explodes as I love them
and love myself.
