THE GIRL WITH THE UMBRELLA

I saw you walking towards me on a rainy day,
With an umbrella hovering above your head keeping the drops away.
I thought you might ask me to join you on that dull day,
Because I was the one without an umbrella on that slippery way.

Your head was facing down,
Looking at your own steps throughout the way.
And I asked myself, is she doing that to keep her looks away,
Or is she being too cautious, not to slip and fall along the way.

I could see your eyes,
Through that torn veil of hairs.
And I wanted to shout out to the world,
How beautiful you were.

Even the sun and the moon would go dull,
Just by the sight of that glowing face,
And I would give up my life,
Just to get a look at you, every day.

I would march through the gates of hell even for a dare,
If lucifer told me, that you my love is being held there.
I would relive the tortures of hell for you babe,
But are you sure you will love me without fail.
A wistful love poem that seems a daydream and rambling thoughts that go through many of our heads as we observe another that catches our attention.
Those tears do have a story to tell,
You may not realise it, until it’s too far for you to tell.
It was you who gave life to it,
And you shall witness it on the time of death.
It shall add to the weight on the weighing scale,
On the day you understand the true meaning of Helplessness.

I may guide you to repent and seek forgiveness,
Even when I know it won’t end well.
Because words have no meaning when spoken to a stone.
You will get it when you can’t rewrite it.

You shall not know when death starts knocking at your door.
Endless time and End of time are like flipping stones,
Different in life but right on time.
This poem talks about that unexpected visitor who comes into your life to take you on a journey to a far away place from where there is no return. Death shall grab you when you least expect him and the endless time that you thought would last forever would turn to the most precious thing you will long for. Try to correct your mistakes when you can because death is watching you and you don't know when it shall reveal itself to you.
