If I told you I love you
What would you think
Would you think I was crazy
Would your heart just sink

If I told you I love you
What would you do
Would you leave me as quick as you could
Or say that you love me to

If I told you I love you
Would everything change
Or would you forget about it
Or think I was strange

If I told you I love you
Would you believe it deep inside
Would your feelings for me change
Is it worth the tears I never cried

Should I tell you I love you
I really don't know
I'm so afraid
I don't want you to go

I'll tell you I love you
I really know I do
But don't ever forget
Friends can love each other too.
This Isn't mine but a added a little though hope you like it!!

Try to answer these questions in 3-5 words each

What does grass smell like?
It smells like dew

Not using the word crackle what does it sound like to step on snow?
Like a faint fire *******

What does salt taste like?
Bitter

What does it smell like before rain?
Familiar

What does it smell like after rain?
New, Fresh

What does your hand feel like?
Soft but then again rough

What is the texture of hair?
Silky but thick

What does water taste like?
Clear , Refreshing

What does it feel like to touch silk?
I drift off to another world

What does gasoline smell like?
Dangerous

What does a pine tree smell like?
Foreverlasting

What does fear feel like?
You want to be rescued

You may call yourself a poet, but can you answer this, the words rattle inside your brain the answer longs to get out. Yet you can't find the words to describe it.
Remember to use only 3-5 words each question. And if you want post ur answers in either a poem or the comment section, or keep them to yourself.
This is not mine it's another poets on here and I felt like it was a challenge so I took it so.........how'd I do??
Everybody's got their own words
You quote mine
Everybody's got their own story
I wrote mine
Everybody thinks I'm ******* nuts
Wanna hold mine?
The last lines of a song by underground hip hop collective The Orphanage (Rhyme Sayers Entertainment). I've been a huge fan of hip hop for as long as I can remember and some of the first writing I ever did were ****** little raps when I was about 11 years old. These lines speak to me specifically because it says that regardless of what other people may think, everybody has something of value to say that others will be able to relate to. You just have to find your own voice and work on honing it to a sharp, powerful edge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbkYlpz7kHI Thar's the link to the whole track if you are interested. Keep on keeping on scribblers

If I ever have a daughter
I will tell her she is so beautiful every ****** day
So she can never forget, even if she doesn't believe.

If I ever have a daughter
I will listen to everything she wants to tell me, every freaking little thing even when I don't really care all that much about the topic even when her problems are really small because I know they are massive to her and I know if you don't listen when they tell you the unimportant things like what color boots everyone but her was wearing, she will stop telling the important things like how she has pretty much stopped eating altogether, sleeps with a blade under her matress and keeps a pill bottle in her sock drawer just in case the unexplainable numbness that won't leave her gets to be too much.

If I ever have a daughter
I will actually spend time with her
So that she and I have memories to look back on
Of things we did together
So I am her mother to her
But also someome she can trust
Not just the lady who feeds her
Just some thoughts. This will be a series.

Different opinions...
Are they really worth fighting
Over with others?
We are all humans right so why do we limit ourselves to just seeing our opinions and arguing when someone say something you disagree with?  As long as they are just kept as thoughts then shouldn't be they be allow to think whatever they want?

Love to many people means just the
Phisycal things love to others mean to be able to trust the
Other person with their feelings to be able to love them and only them to love them with their whole heart forever but really does love EVER last I mean sooner than later love dies either in life ending or just no longer a flame or because someone thought love was a game if you take a step back and think Does Love Really Ever Last?

She thought she had it all
everything she needed
tried keeping it all to herself
tightly in her hands
but she didn't notice it slipping from her grasp.
and darling, don't you know,
you can't hold onto slippery soap

then
oppurtunies missed
friends lost
through her fingers
slowly but surely
turned to an hourglass

This is how to make your child feel worthless.
This is how to make them regret being born.
This is how to teach them a lesson. Doesn't it hurt? This is discipline.
This is how to control your child.
This is how to deal with a drunken man.
This is how to feel like hell and still hold your head up.
This is how to act okay.
This is how to heal a broken heart, remember save whisky for last.
This is how to hide the scars he gives you.
This is how to cook.
This is how to clean.
This is how you pray. To who? Don’t ask.
This is how to love a man even if he hurts you.
This is how to live.
This is how to endure the pain.
This is how to be beautiful. That looks painful. Tough luck, pretty hurts.
This is how to put on makeup.
This is how to make a man weak.
This is how to lie.
This is how to live a broken life.
This is how to survive.
This is life.

I guess this is an imitation on this great passage I read in the summer. I can't remember the name but I love the format. Thoughts?
