My skin grows to tight for my bones

Every inch, every dent, every curve is bone

My skin is like latex

My skin is like rubber

But these walls are closing in

My box is becoming smaller

I comfort others

But never myself

What did I do wrong

I followed the handbook

Yet this box is making it hard to breathe

Please help me

I haven’t broken a rule

I haven’t broken a heart

I’m trying my best to be honest

I still can’t breathe

I have no title

But other labels float above my head

I shout for help yet the echo is defanging

Words hurt

Sticks and stones break bones.

Words and feelings shatter my heart.

It’s like a poet with a whip like tongue.

You lash me with your words and I stagger back.

Begging for the ground to swallow me whole.

Words hurt.

Words are hidden behind sweet tones and kind voices.

But underneath they are *****, derogatory, and filthy.

Don’t call a woman a w—re just because you think it’s funny.

Don’t call a man a f-gg-t just because he has a different clothing style and doesn’t dress masculine.

Words cut deeper than sticks and stones could ever.

Words. Hurt

Words will hurt. I’ve nearly lost two friends to suicide because they were bullied and called derogatory words and slurs. My friends have found professional help and are doing better.

If it’s only a joke why does it sting?

If it’s only a joke why do you make it personal?

A joke shouldn’t be something used as a hateful thing.

Jokes are supposed to be something we can look back on and laugh at;

Not be ashamed because we were made insecure by a few words.

Make it make sense

Jokes are supposed to be lighthearted and something for a laugh.

Not to make people feel ashamed.

“Oh! Remember when you started-“
It’s not a joke.

We’re not laughing.

But you are.

It’s not a joke so stop saying it after an insult because it’s not a joke.

Idk just inspired off of a video I seen and wanted to make my own. Don’t remember the girl that made the poem sadly.

I’m closed off and reserved.
But you see past that wall.
I hide behind Indifference;
Begging that it wouldn’t let you through.
I didn’t understand what I was feeling.
I didn’t know what to do.
I bottled it up.
But,
Eventually, you were let through.
What did you want me to do?
I tried to hide yet you found me.
You held my hand, you told me it would be okay.
You told me that I was normal.
Why did you lie?
You told me I was feeling something called love.
But I haven’t felt that for someone in years.
So why would I feel it now?
You weren’t special.
Never will be.
You faded into dust. And I couldn’t be more happy.
Because my feelings were wrong. I never loved you, I never will.
But I still have one question.

Your words left a crater
A crater that cannot not be filled
You were old
You were sick
You were dying
You were fighting
Fighting the battle you knew you would lose
And the words you last spoke.
The last words that your voice ever carried
The words you spoke with your last breath
The words you said in a whisper
They haunt me,
Yet they comfort me
"You're special to me and I hope you know I love you dear"
You paused and looked out the hospital window
"No matter where you are. I will be watching from the sky."
These were that last words you spoke
and they broke me
I want you back
But the reaper was there waiting for his chance to claim you.

For the last time I saw you
For the last time we spoke,
You were sick
I was young and didn't understand.
Until.
Until you passed.

You were dying,
I didn't know

The feeling of your hands on my back was comforting,
The way you told me everything was okay when they fought
The way you held me and covered my ears.
You fought the battle you knew you would never win
Yet you acted as if all was okay
You acted as you were not sick

You stayed strong for me
For me and the young ones
You were our savior.

Mom blames her problems on you
Because you left us
and I tried to tell her
I tried to tell her you fought the battle you knew that you wouldn't win
And your strong for that
I love you ♥
I'm always looking for you
Flying overhead
Your wings spread wide
Your halo shining so bright
Your smile every time we came over
I want to see you again
we had so many memories
But I knew eventually
Eventually this would happen
It didn't matter if you won the battle or not
you would pass one day
you would be in a place of peace and painless

I draw flowers,
Flowers are my comfort.
but, eventually Flowers wilt.
If they wilt, they die.
So does my comfort.
Oh but what's this?
a new comfort?
but its a girl,
does she like flowers?
but she is a flower,
a flower that will never wilt
a flower that will forever be my comfort.
