Reeling down Broadway
and feeling there's no way
to make a wrong situation right.

Followed by phantoms
shadowed by lanterns
makes this a long lonely night.

There's a rainbow or crossbow
not sure which so I wait
for the lightning to strike.

When I'm lit up I'll light out.

and it's the sand flowing through
every hour glass I knew
that crystallises these thoughts.

Elementary central on the tube
going mental
which is always the way that it is.

The station clock
going
tickety tock
seems to rock with the
carriage I'm in.

Chancery lane and once more
I refrain from crying today
still
reeling down Broadway
feeling I should pray

I read the 'Metro' instead.

I saw an old blue jay today
unashamed of his baldness.
His beautiful crown reduced
to wispy sprouts of gray,
every which way
like a patient after chemo.

Beauty cannot exist
without suffering

I saw our rabbit’s kits yesterday,
they looked like little piglets
nestled in her nest of fur and hay,
plump and tender bodies,
tempting feasts for
creatures of the night.

Peace cannot exist
without fear

I saw a hummingbird this morning
and heard her vibrating chirp.
Cautious yet eager she
bobbed and dipped for sustenance
a thousand miles from home
like a prisoner of war.

Home cannot exist
without longing

I see an orangey moon tonight
pierced across the breast by clouds,
in halves instead of whole.
A symbol of the way things are,
a broken world that
few take time to notice.

Consciousness cannot exist
without ignorance

I looked in your eyes just now
and saw love.

Sickness, disease, danger and fear,
loneliness, loss and uncertainty
is, was, and forever will be
washed away in their blue,
at least for me.

Certainty cannot exist
without love

Of this I am certain
I see the moonlight in your eyes radiant yet serene.
Your wisps of hair a midnight sky flowing like a dream.
Your skin aglow a thousand stars shimmering in the night.
I hold you in my eyes that I may never lose this sight.

You're the one for me
You're all of me
I want a smile from you
I just love you, sweetie
I'm asking if you love me!

You're my new day
You're my good night
You're my blue bay
You're my bright light
I just love you baby
I'm asking if you love me!

I love your cute nose
I love your lovely eyes
I'm a fan of all of those things
Your heart is my safe place
I just love you, sweetie
I'm asking if you love me!

You were made for me
I wish you could be mine
You're so cool to me
Think of me if it's fine
I just love you, baby
I'm asking if you love me!

You have everything
I'm alone, I have nothing
True love will never die
This love is true, never lie
I just love you, sweetie
I'm asking if you love me!

Right now, I'm watching a snowstorm. Wind Raging around me.
Sun hidden in Haze.
Perfect day to sit
with cup of hot chocolate
marveling at nature's majestic power
from a window view.

Right now, I'm sitting peacefully.
Heat raging with warmth
Belly full with food.
Perfect time to take a nap
and dream of an island
where song echoes of birds
not wind.
