Near the reeking garbage pile
two black cats chanced to mate
in the black of the night
merging with a thousand shadows of the night

Nothing seen,
but two pairs of glistening eyes
and a loud shriek and a whining cry
as if they were in intense pain!

Was it a forced ****
or a prearranged rendezvous of the lovers?
Did I hear a squeal in delight
or a cry in helpless agony?

Blush

ryn
The light touches
of the wind,
caress the blush
in reddened cheeks.

Gentle fingers abscond
with the moisture
in hapless tears.

Teasing playfully,
the obstinacy
of wayward strands.

Inciting a smile
from a heavy heart,
lifting off the anvil
that carry all fears.
I lost my mind to find my heart
I mended ways and came apart
I lost what's taught to find the truth
I had to age to find my youth
I lost my pride to find my dignity
I lost rebellion to become free
I gave up wealth to find true gold
I lost my life to gain my soul.

I lost my life to gain my soul
I gained my youth by growing old
By gaining Christ my life was sold
I lost my life to gain my soul.

Lost my flesh and found my spirit
I lent my ears just to hear it
I lost my eyes and gained my vision
I became whole by this division
Gave up the world to find such plenty
I became one to help the many
I gave up wealth to find true gold
I lost my life to gain my soul.

Chorus

I am the most when I'm the least
By waging war I found true peace.

Thank you for bearing with me... My father is much better! Thank you so much for your good thoughts and prayers!

Later this morning I'm putting some of my music on YouTube and SoundCloud. I will be able to put it up on the site here soon. It is Christian rap... really cool!

LOVE YOU ALL!

The first thinkers were poets
Naming Mother Earth
Beginning symbolic thinking
Of nature, death and birth

Though themes are often repeated
Love, Beauty and God
Poetry in the guise of Religion
A prophet or a fraud

The poet resurrects the Primitive
Through allegory and similes
Disarming the unknown like explorers
Sublime Prophets and Visionaries

They must lay bare those treasured images
That must be expressed
Unraveling and revealing the sounds
At each soul’s behest

Encompassing the entire Cosmos
So lyrical the beat
The poet’s excitement flows outward
Laid at the Reader’s feet

So original, individual
She won’t examine or explain
Letting go the festering feelings
Disturbances in her brain

He exposes his dark, wounded psyche
Just to release and express
Such capacity to see and compare
Hyperbole at its best

I love, I hate, I suffer
A special dance in rhythm and rhyme
The poet as a buffer
Lessening the pain and sting of time

Laden with symbol and feelings
She gives you sweet relief
From something urgent, revealing
Confusion to belief

Through a cinematic kind of seeing
The poet purges to transform
By leaping through Alice’s looking glass
She never was one to conform

Quite intolerant of convention
Just like The Mad Hatter
His passions immune to all logic
In syncopated patter

Jamming up the poet’s mind
Struggling for expression
Seeking order out of chaos
An infantile regression

Cleaving to his imaginary world
The poet breaks out into words
Creating sound paintings to be unfurled
So his own agony is blurred

She succumbs to storms of passion
With instinctive techniques
Rhymes and rhythm still in fashion
Out of hand flows mystique

The poet mines from his unconscious
The Reader is not blind
For every single line and symbol
Means something to the mind

Causing an inner liberation
Enlightenment or flight
It is a matter of life and death
When darkness turns to light.
Been working on this piece for a while; my thoughts on the inner mind of poets.

Oh, my Father in Heaven
Guarding me from all perils and trials
And sets my heart free of all clutter
For you, my songs of praise, I reserve

All my life, I shall sing
Without fail, in bloom or gloom
On every unfolding day
Through months and years
Till death and beyond
Let my songs sail across the skies
And with the chorus of the heavenly band, unite

Oh, the benevolent Lord of all creation
Custodian of all wealth
Contriver of birth and death
The Master Crafts man
Everything is your handiwork.

The lofty mounts
Veiled in misty snow
The verdant dales
Lush and still
The fathomless deep
Where mysteries peep
All the flowers
That bloom and wither
All things
Bright and beautiful
Everything, above and below
In all,
Let me behold thy grace
And sing Thee praise!

Oh! Redeemer of Mankind
Guide me through the dark
Guard my steps where dangers lurk
Hold my hand
And never loosen your grip

Make me face the light
Illumine me with wisdom serene
And fill me with love divine;
So that you be glorified
Here, on Earth
And in Heaven be!
You're trapped behind the lines
With your worst enemy...

MIND

My father is going to the hospital.
I'll be off-site a while.

LOVE YOU ALL!

From a grateful Soul's heart
I feel the need
To thank you for loving
In thought and in deed

I left for a long time
Didn't say where I was
Didn't give a goodbye
Didn't make a big fuss

And here I come back
With no word of my life
Didn't tell you the details
Of my burdens and strife

Let me just telling you
That there's been no lack.
But you asked no questions
And accepted me back!

I just cannot tell you
What that means to me.
But I want you to know
And I want you to see.

I've thought of you often
And prayed for you more
I did not know then
What was in store

I returned to HP
Didn't have to atone
You opened your arms...

And WELCOMED ME HOME!

Now I rest easy
I can make a new start
The timing is perfect
From a grateful Soul's heart!
