my bones tremble
my ribs cave
into my lungs
releasing pain
beneath each breath
I dare to take.

Find what makes you happy
but first
find yourself.

I'm not without the thought of you converging into me
'Cause everyone I've ever met is nothing close to we
So tell me where we're going next and I will pack my things
The south and north and east and west will teach us how to sing
I've noted only happy days that I've already spent
Beside the shadow of the sun in everywhere we went
And I cannot explain this to a single 'nother soul
you're part of what makes all of me, your being makes me whole
We'll stumble into other things and try to catch our breath
But in the end it's me and you until there's nothing left
And even then we'll see ourselves exactly as we should
And trust that all we've done to date is only for the good
I loved you then, I love you now and that will never change
your moon's become the only star that hasn't gone away
I'll live inside the galaxy that brings me to your bed
And recognize your presence as my senses are reset
I've held you one too many times and here we go again
I want to have you something bad don't let this be the end
we could've been forever

i stare into the sun a lot now
i know the consequences of that
"you're gonna ruin your eyes"
what's it matter now?
you were my sun and now you're
setting into the depths of where
i see you less and my heart doesn't
skip beats anymore when i hear your name
i don't know what to say or do,
you know?
i went months looking at you like
you lit up the earth and gave me oxygen
but now you're just becoming another
star that has lost its shine
well, maybe by looking into the sun
id feel the warmth you once gave me
all I just feel now is pain when I look up

I pulled the door open, prayed.
Hoped I wouldn't see your smile
bright and shiny behind the tile.

My breath died a moment, when I
heard my name in your voice,
my feet had to make a choice.

My eyes closed and I walked.
You small talked me,
as you stirred sugar in my coffee.

You asked about my weekend,
how Natalie's hangover faired.
My true feelings were dared.

"You want to know how I'm doing? I am
Livid.
Depressed.
Scared.
Distraught.

"I trusted you, Matt. You promised me! I BELIEVED YOU!

"Good-bye."

My eyes opened and I walked.
You small talked me,
as you stirred sugar in my coffee.

You asked about my weekend,
how Natalie's hangover faired.
My true feelings were spared.

"Thanks for the coffee."

I trusted too much.
Barricaded too late.
It's my fault.

I thought you were the exception,
but who am I to believe
any one would choose me?
He doesn't care. He lied.

There is a voice deep inside
It screams at night
and festers during day
It speaks to me
Makes me feel shame
It plays with me
And all my insecurities
A trap that only I can feel
A trap that's slowly draining me
Stealing my happiness
Stealing it away from me
Someone set me free
From my anxiety
