Few will bear a bit of fire
The flames lick with each desire
Upon the mantle above the earth p
I feel with no mind
I never remind, myself
Before pain I have knelt
And prayed upon the altar
True colors in ways without words
Lost in layers of dysfunction
Memories seem like ghosts
A tale once foretold
Of heroic actions
And bold men and their violence
Of their masters campaign to silence
It said the masses would perish
Not as victim, but as targets
Innocent near should fight and never fear
Any man that makes life itself dissappear
The war is not won with glory but by bitter victories.
Many will not see the sun again.
While the ones that live
Now carry with them a great burden
Washed over by the tears of the fallen
In tidal waves they leave in their wake
The vanquished will find no solace in defeat Lives were shed in blood as an offer
On the altar of a collective sacrifice
Hasting the winds of change
Which blow with the sands of time
Eroding the stone inscribed with the epitaph of humanity.
See the evil in the eyes
Let it try, it shall never break through
Come for my life I have nothing to lose
And what care is there, if it remains still with you?
A blank state of despair, is that what you choose?
Then may my God help you.
I imagine a place
Wastelands in a recess of past memories
Years spent, many left forsaken and forgotten
Prices paid for life, bankruptcy never an option
A pleasant face tries to hide despising minds
Malevolent falsity masquerades as one who is kind
Hatred is the blade,
Forged white hot
In the fury of an inferno.
Sorrows are the arrows
Pierced into thine heart
Fired in miserable volleys
Joy is the euphoria
In sweet and blissful waves
Lies are the poison
Sipped from the cup of disgrace.
