Scorpius
She peers
At him
Sideways
And wonders
When he
Forgot,
“I am
Beautiful,”
She whispers,
“And yours.”
High upon the valley
And low atop the hill
The shadows creep in darkness
As in light they never will
Dancing through the caverns
Or cavorting in the sky
Separated from their masters
As the darkness cuts their ties
Flying freely, sometimes gliding
Coinciding with the night
Never showing in their knowing
Of the coming of the light
Sweetly savoring each moment
Of the freedom they have won
‘Til they’re forced back into servitude
With the coming of the dawn

I hate the word simple.
Everything is actually really
complex.

I should've guessed, I should've known.
If there's a lightning, thunder will come.

That I was a guest, this wasn't my home,
but I was just too afraid to be alone.

Winds might change after tomorrow
and the sea my pain could somehow swallow.

But today there's this mountain of sorrow,
that blocks the sun, and makes me feel hollow.

To be locked in a room.
Just me and just you.
To make the whole world bloom,
only for us two.

Drinking words from your voice,
being satiated by your sight.
A glorious rejoice,
that could last the whole short night.

And then, maybe, along the hours
my skin could feast with yours.
If we where in the same room.

Her outward details may be beautiful,
Forged with delicate craftsmanship,
O, but she is a sharp weapon.
She is a sword sheathed in a golden scabbard.
Her hilt dipped in bronze.
She may look a damsel,
But she is all dragon.
She may seem a docile sea,
But she is volcanic beneath her glittering waves.
There’s tectonic power underneath her calm soil

Whenever
you are ready
to let down your guard
and break down the walls,
I promise to pick up
every brick
and rebuild you
as if to rebuild
my home.

Crystalized visions as I stand
tall in the eye of the storm

Look what they did
to me, for I
am savaged, broken,
and torn

Blood trickles
from my legs
like dripping juice
from rotten peaches

I am silent amidst
the red sun rising
as I stand tall
in the eye of the storm

Look what they did to me
mother, I am broken and torn
