Open mike Shite
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
On the door the sign it says "Open mike" come in and listen if you like

Get a drink and take a seat come listen to others things
Songs galore, old and new. If you want get up too.

But no you *** you want to heckle and berate someone, oh your special.

So special you came straight from the gym didn't shower and you stink

Your head is topped with a mersey **** oh I'm sorry its your hair

****** this and I'll do that, hot air from a skanks mouth

Well this morning I feel really good because last night I met you

My life may never be the same in fact next week I'll come again

If you open your foul scouse mouth, I'll get up and read this out!
For Megan who gave her all

Punctuated only by furr ***** and *****
Whats the point?
Eat sleep **** repeat
Can't play fetch or go for a walk
Claws to sharp and scratch the walls
Sit on your lap and dig in your *****
Sleeps all day,fights all night
Then ***** in a tray or in next doors flowers
Then gets lost an posters put up
Lost my **** it was a three day stud!
Then gets old and now wants to be friends
Till it pops it's cloggs and the kids are upset
Then it happens, weeks go by and you come home from work and a kittens arrived!!
The dogs gone nuts it's ******* it off
The wife and kids are going soft
Grab the lead and "I'll take the dog out!!"

What cleanses the body?
What cleanses the mind?
***** bathwater and a feeling of good?
Wash of the grime, oh if the mind could
Soft scented candles and fragrant perfume
To sooth the senses and do you some good
We shower,we shave, we preen and we fettle
But take less care of our inner self
Till the bath of the mind then overflows
Then tears run down the side of your nose
Where did they come from?
Oh why do we cry?
No time was given to spring clean the mind

Drown oh water fairy
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
I strain my eyes to see what is before me
Often focusing in and out, trying to gain detail
detail of what exactly.
I am simply an observer, no more no less
I have no stake in this reality.
I'm simply a passenger
You all scuttle past unseen, but there!
Never noticed, never challenged
Yet you spout opinion never fact, like hyenas
Await a head above the parapet
Shoot to **** !! They made a mistake
Vapid and insincere. Harbingers to a tee
**** your insincerity, **** you to hell
Let me see you bare your soul, give of yourself
No you cannot because you have no worth
No measure, no purpose
Feeding like carion on the bones of the living, loving,
Fighting for air
Yet you prey upon them still, worthless and bereft of a soul
One day you will be that, frail, trying hurting..
Then your kind will devour you.
Rebuke to a **** ant trumpton

Alone?
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
Eyes heavy now as the day comes to a close
The days tailcoats snagged on the evenings last light
My thoughts random, yet calm as the night invites me
I lye alone no comfort in my bed, save the moments captured in memory or the visions in imagination.
Some vivid, some hazed often slowed as my mimd savours the pleasures of the senses.
The voices of the day spill over into the night
I hear the soft voice, reading to me and picture ruby lips, their folds and creases giving flight to words.
Soothing my passing to sleep whispering now, as if to kiss my consciousness goodnight.
Then the voice fades, memories slip away and I am left alone.
Alone imagining, wondering.
Is that perfume I smell?
Can the mind really do this.
Am I alone? Or held in the arms of another far away. Do they hold me in their bed, alone, yet together.
Do they lye entwined, peaceful, as one yet not.
Are we ever alone with our thoughts
Our emotions seperated from consciousness and dreams
I hope not
Do you?
Kicked about and finished. Subject to be changed

Old cobbles, irregular moss between.
Some lifted as natures reclamation puts it's mark beneath them.
Roots splitting their pretty pattern.
Trees being trees.
The tram lines polished tops dazzle me as an early spring sun tries to make an appearance.
Enhanced by the light glistening on the droplets of water on my glasses.
I didn't notice that yesterday.
Cold east wind bites as the ferryboat blows it's horn.
Each captain different in tone remimding me I'm home.
The dark grey sea churning as the ferry fights its way to Liverpool.
Each day the same just different in small detail.
How was your lunch?

Leabhar- A Book
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
Do the ends caress what's whithin?
A play upon words, a facade of what is beneath
The pages inside the book now seldom seen
Placed upon a shelf no longer to read
Or the reader did not understand the thread
The plot not to their taste or their perception hazed
Or picked up when in the mood pages turned then put down
Then cast aside unfinished
So what now of this book?
Do you open it's cover and look
Does the cover, it's front and back
Protect the story held inside
The photograph, the front of course the eye catches first or the spine with inviting words
The title that hides the tale inside, cries and smiles truth and lies
Hardback in a true disguise, more costly but often satisfies a weighty tombe a work of size
Holding the story tight, until the time is right
Or softback invitingly there to see
Oh please oh please open and look beneath
The cover so often is a pale facade
No relevance to what's within its charge
For the story may have no end or may need to be re written again
Each reader sees a different thing
The written words scribed as a life I yearn to know what's inside
Though many books are there to see
What is it you really want to read?
Is it the story of an open heart or a drama
Now closed by a reader far to harsh
The story of a persons life like Dickens forgotten bride
Or can it be read by others, when the time is right
A classic re visited late at night, giving the reader warmth and delight.
So reader choose your book with care for taste in books is a "soul"preserve
A photo is a snapshot a moment held In time
like the cover of a book.
A book of a life.
A Scottish/Irish word
A historical volume
A snapshot in time.

I walk hand in hand by myself
We chat and never say a word
The two of us simply coexist
You can't see what or how we fit
Or who is in charge of it
What you see is but a mask
Beneath a rage of wills
Keep on taking pills
Then off to sleep
So let's guess
Who will drive tomorrows mess.
For the padre.

For me
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
Tap dance for me on the hands of a clock
Hold back time "oh don't step off!"
Tango with me till the end of time
Haven't I already heard that line?
Run with me until your heart pounds
Then collapse upon the ground
Run fingers through my greying her
Tell me you will always care
leave footprints in wet sand
As we walk holding hands
Be all the thinks that you have dreamed
But most of all be here with me
FOR M and L
good luck
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
When the light goes out it's all still there, just hidden
as you sit alone in your chair, blending, silent as the night embraces you
You try to focus on shadows and the embers of the day a day often we want to forget as it's conflicts raged
Yet the emotions wash into the night, your night

Sometimes it will be different, it may hold the very essence of a soul that touched upon yours in strangest serendipity
You can imagine what the darkness holds but only days light realises dream from reality, what was but a chance path crossed or a smile seen as bright as the sun
As I slumber I hold thoughts of pleasure and play that day like a film in my minds eye, slowly now for I must see it's details in emerald splendour
The sepia tones of faces and images alight, I yearn for tomorrow goodbye to tonight.

Happy endings
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
The ciggiy hung from her lip
No question she was up for it
But up for what was what he feared
As half crowns hung from her ears
Her hand stretched out as payment due
"30 quid" she said to you
Get undressed behind the screen
"Your first time or have you been?"
On the bed he lay face down
Her hands moved up and down his back
Suprisingly she wasn't bad
Arms outstretched fingers pulled
This was really really good
Roll over love I'll do your front
Now he starts to feel a chump
There she stood and looked at him
He looked back with a silly grin
She oiled his chest and then his legs
Avoided going between his thighs
She could have told the time of day
His sundial had come out to play
Now all done she passed a towel
And asked him "was that alight"
Then before he could reply
She said next door if you want more
No happy endings here my love

Todays the day to change a life
Go outside and feel alive
Don't let a fool hold you back
Or waste anymore of your life
Go and do something for you alone
Don't be beholden to another's tune
When they listen to the song another sings
Don't wait until they call your name
When they call
Be far away
Saw something and it ended up like this.

The imagination can be a weapon of mass destruction
When running riot and exploding
When jumping like a kangaroo to conclusions only a fool could make
To always see the worse case scenario and never see the good in man
The paranoid and self gratification eventually took over a nation
When thoughts of all are out to get us invert to our most personal issues
The people then see nothing good deciet and cheats in all of us
The only end in this end of days is to be yourself for pity's sake.

Sounds of morning ransack my thoughts

Yet my heart is still foolish
Does the dawn break
No.. it's broken
Just a little ditty after celebrating three peoples birthdays.

Hi I'm Caroline
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
I sat chatting to Alison of what I can't recall.
Why she was here I had no idea at all.
Ian laughed and made a reference to Cruella De Ville, a pet name for my ex that makes him giggle still.

Then she entered, seemingly frantic, papers dropped floating like feathers. Her hair trailed as though chasing to catch her as she raced through the world.
But no man could catch her as there was no race she was not even there but visiting the same.

She spoke loudly, her words echoed of Edgar Allen Poe. Deep and mysterious, soft in reference to my very thoughts.
She seemed familiar, yet not, oh how could that be?
Real and not there, I thought I had met her.
But probably not yet?

She opened a book and said listen to me she spoke so softley I just agreed.
I can't remember a word that she said only Alisons laughter and Ians nodding head.
They sat next to us but faded away I was losing reality but needed to stay!

The librarian rebuked them and I turned away, then I realised it was Caroline who was sat at the desk.
She turned and smiled and started to say
Hi I'm....
Before she could speak I said "Caroline"
I know
She smiled and leaned towards me, then I woke
The dream blown to infinity.
The library gone.
Utter nonsense dream where I knew some people not others and made no sense. Vivid as day in every detail haunts me at night.

Falling, scattered, lost
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
It was always there you just misplaced it.
Under a pile of doubt stacked by another
Sometimes we simply walk the path of least resistance
In the belief its ok and things will get better
That works for a time.
Then one day something happens and the pile falls and everthing scatters
Now the trick is to only pick up what you need not what others want.
The books were there all the time
I just didn't know who needed them
I no longer wanted them..
Weigh everything gainst this.
Do I like
If I do, do I want or need?
To want can  be a passing fancy
To need can be forever
Or the end
Trying to explain to someone that when it all falls down. Only pick up what you need

The living list
Micheal Wolf Feb 2014
Bucket lists are all the rage but life's for living at this stage
Make a list of what matters and why
When you read it try to laugh not cry
What I like and what I want are sometimes only just for fun
What I need is more of the point and why that is, is seldom said
As thoughts career within my head
I want to feel like I belong
Not to a group but to someone
I want to know I make them smile
Even if only for a while
Who needs a list to sort this stuff
Who wants to tick them one by one
All is lost and all is found
So no point in writing anything down

The story so far..
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
A collection of things I'd best not have done, but did them all the same
Ever wondered why you feel this way
A body filled with a billion cells, none knowhing what to do or say
From pillar to post shaken and stired every day
A day in here or a night out there, all the same in many ways
A work in progress, a life incomplete? The sum total of years in deep
So sod the rules and scream out loud, We want more!
To fill our lives
Follow my lead and fly the nest your 18 now and full of zest
So when it's done and they toast my *** I want them to know I had a life
I put the best of me into you and watched it grow each day
Tonight I watched you spread your wings and now you fly away
I taught you well and you will go and leave an empty space
But night or day I'll be there and call me anytime
Because all grown up remember now
Your still my little girl
Thanks for the invite and a lovely night and fabulous music. For a friend whos daughter is 18 and off!!

Sign there son
You will be paid
Take the shilling
Europe awaits!
Grab your rifle
Grab your sack
Tell your mum you'll be back

Meet new friends
Palls together
All aboard and off to The Somme
They were just kids together alone

First the smell
Then the noise
Far from what you left at home
Then the shells begin to fall
Like nothing you had seen before

You're wet and cold and in a hole
Shaking with fear not the cold
Your friend just passed in a puff of smoke
His head was first, then his *****
His legs are spread across the floor

Then another explodes next to you
The smoke clears and the Sarge smiles at you
Like a statue painted red
He doesn't know he's already dead

Mother Mother! Others scream
But cries and wails no one hears
None of this can be real
You're just a boy and soiled with fear

Fifty years past then more
At night you still hear the screams and cannons roar
Like yesterday but years before
It didn't end all the wars

They made a sequel a bigger cast
Not your turn now to carry the flag
With one arm you can't do that
And your lungs still burn from the gas

Once again the generals cried
"Come on lads, we need you now, come and sign the Sgts form"
But was Tommy on the top once more?
Or did they use anothers name, to sign your precious lives away.

When oh when will all the madness end
For The Somme took away your friends
Only poppys now remain
Over fields where Britains youth lies slain
Tommy s  British WW1 soldiers were called that as the example name on recruitment forms was..

Soles of the Soul
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
Broken glass is plentiful in this world.
Metaphorical or not it surrounds
Like a trail of broken hearts all glass all smashed
Feet bleed constantly
Those who's break
For those who follow
Others wear shoes, that numbs the pain, yet dulls the senses.
Life without feeling
The feeling be it pain is a remimder
The glass a memory
The hurt a lesson learnt
Broken glass is ever plentiful

Great? War... are you mad!
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
Can you explain to me what was "Great?"
Three quaters of a million never returned
THE GLORIOUS DEAD! What a joke
Their lives taken because of what?
The fall of a dynasty, the wrong man in power
Shot by a fool to fuel a crowd
Then like infection the movement spread
Village by village dead upon dead
Alliances made with utter mistrust
Then before they knew it all is lost
Countries they had no place being there
Sending their young to be slain
Over and over and over again
Then at the end no one stood trial
Countries divided and poverty rife
They said it was the war to end wars
Empty words, there's always more
A generation hadn't had time to pass
Once again the armies massed
This time to slay the phoenix of hate
From the ashes of war you fools called "Great"
The legacy left from greed and fear
Gave rise to a culture of hate and fear
Driven and driven few knew why
This time millions would die
So answer me now, what was Great?
I just can't see it in any way
A world left scared and torn apart
The legacy now in many lands.
For soldiers who died in battles many
The causes they fought they had no clue

Simply orderd what to do.....

I know a girl called Ruby
Whose little sister is quite groovy
Her name is Eva and she shouts and screams!
Makes us want to disappear!
Ruby always winds her up till she screams
Then gets told off
But Eva has a secret weapon
When she sees Rubys least expecting
There comes a pong without a sound
A trouser cough? A silent pop?
Oh my god she's done a boff!
Run for cover she's let one off
Or was it mummy?
Oh blame the dog!

Mirror of Hathor
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
Fuzzy and grey
Hard to see through
Nothing reflected
Blocking the light
Looking out
Not inside
Who wants to see?
They just get rejected
For looking within
Tearful for no reason
Every reason but none
Like windows to a soul
That isn't their own
No place to go poking
Around on your own
No one to guide you
No one to hold
Behind those eyes
It's' hollow
It's cold
Though it wasn't always
When some lit a fire
He stamped it out
Blamed lust over love
For fear of desire
Loosing just what?
Now empty is all
No love left inside
Don't look in the mirror
There's nothing to find
Egyptian mythology had a few re writes and came to this.
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
Oh love, oh love you fickle tithe.
You're bespoke to all, yet fitted to none.

How maturity makes us a bit of a sage
Practice makes perfect, you really think?
Between the sheets do we raise our game?
Or simply loose our fear to fail.
Well one things sure at 47
I will never be on the television

Find a reason or an excuse to avoid
What you feel and how it burns inside
How it effects you they can't understand
To far, to intense,  to much on your plate
They beg you to let them help, yet you escape
When really it's you, no other to blame
You made a mistake couldn't handle their gaze
Oh hide emotion because of your past
Open to nobody for fear of the out
Once knowing your weakness you no longer could face
Knowing they knew your inner most pain
For another's affection was to much to take
Then because you can't cope you push them away
Then scold yourself as you let them go
Then sleep at night thinking are they alone
Oh hushabye fool oh lament the loss
Only you could have told them you felt to much
More emotion than you could ever have known
The love they showed you was nothing you'd known
The end came silent you could no longer talk
You simply couldn't take in it's all
Now a memory, and what of the cost?
You can't repair what you, alone lost
A few lines I've kicked about without a purpose.  Looking at open emotions and trapped pain.
A battle of emotions like west side story.  Good bad etc
Probably re write it.   There gives a thought, re write.

Remember why?
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
My heart dropped listening to the words
Clear, crisp, concise they roll from an educated tongue
Every word bigotry in all it's splendour
How did such a well educated and nurtured soul become such a pariah
Then the realisation
We missed a generation
The horrors of war in the two world wars ingrained in many love, not hurt nor hatred
They taught their children how to love and tolerance of others, not to hate a colour
Now it seems that quality has gone and to hate has become the norm
To ridicule and marginalise fashionable?
All that was learnt from those deaths now forgotten
If a teenager uses such words, what hope for those who come next?
No good for sure

I walk the night
Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
Im happy in mediocrity
The face that no one sees
The smile that passes by
Forgotten in the blink of an eye

I walk the night,  can't stand the light
I walk the night, can't stand the light
When morning comes... you find me gone.

As soon as I've passed their gaze
They don't see me their not phased
I walk between night and day
They just look the other way

I walk the night,  can't stand the light
I walk the night, can't stand the light
When morning comes... you find me gone.

When you sleep at night
Turn out the light its me there
The matress dips the shiver hits
You know someones watching you

I walk the night,  can't stand the light
I walk the night, can't stand the light
When morning comes... you find me gone.

When you say you have been to hell and back whose hell?  Yours  or mine?
The journey there in different lives on different paths and at different times
The hell you have is self created as you never looked at getting free
You never looked at getting out you stayed so comfortable and yet so sad
Tight liped and smiles for all to see though inside broken piece by piece.
I'm So far away from home and I don't know where home is anymore
Screaming from my soul but you can't hear a word

Micheal Wolf Jan 2014
Sometimes all we want is to be held
To be told its all ok and fears gone away
To be gently kissed our hair tugged and stroked
To be covered in oil and our weary limbs rubbed

Other days we are filled with the devil and a demon inside
That makes you twitch and feel deprived
Makes you just want to loose control, bent over and banged like swinging door
Then the feeling goes again
Left empty
Cold
And alone

St nick or santa or Mr Claus was all that they had in between wars.

The battle of Christmas
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
Oh It started quietly
Lines crossed, back and forth
Tempers frayed, voices raised
Then came the skirmishes
A few at dawn, more at night fall
Whilst the day was full of exchanges
In the days that followed it became more intense
Violent clashes and casualties
No more warnings, full on ramming
Clear and defined as if at the wheel of a ship
Collisions and screaming, then came the peace keepers
Dressed in geeen and red to try and calm the situation
But to no avail
For only when the last toy or the last mince pie was bought
Then only then on December 24th was the battle of Christmas over
An eerie truce then held until haloween.

loving the neighbour
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
Love thy neighbour,  so the Bible says
But dont covet his wife it will get you in strife!
Don't look at her body when she calls
Ignore her curves and her beconing calls
Your wife suggested you helped her out
Does she really now what its about?

That day you called when he was out
It wasn't those tools it was all about
All so innocent till she touched your chest
It went downhill and then to bed
A frantic tryst one afternoon
Cries off passion and moans were heard
Then hubby came home and saw you there
The game was up amongst other things
Two marriages ruined and a family split
All for the sake of a bit of "it"

For the wife had watched and often seen
The postman or the huge marine
She had plans all her own
And saw the means to make them so
Sow the seed and watch it grow
A perfect plan to get divorced
All she needed to pull it off
Was for them to be caught
A perfect plot

She hadn't planned on the neighbours anger
When he saw another bang her
So both barells he loosed into them
And sent upstate for ****** two
Far more than her plan had ever required
And now no alimony as hubby died!!

So love thy neighbour is all well and good
Just don't get caught if your stupid enough!

She said I was ugly
I said she needed more to drink
When she was drunk I was her world
When sober, I was from an alien world
Beer googles and lust lenses
How the alcohol befriended
When its gone the magics passed
Until the next time she's slashed

Seasons beatings
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
The season of the unwanted approaches
The forced meets the prolonged meals
The vapid remarks, the family sparks
Inlaws at odds and at war
To much excess and a festive mess
Impropriety is always the norm
The works do, she touched you
You responded over the top
When it's over it becomes colder
The nuclear family's gone bang
Cases at dawn a taxi at the door
Another unwanted leaves
So before it begins think on the things
That matter and not what's offered
For a life alone no kids no home
Is all the gift you will get
If you're caught in the hall
With your hands on the maul
Say goodbye to it all
And the season of hollow soul

Apart/hide
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
He's dead!! They weep and wail
Now they proclaim "He was a hero" apartheid slain
True it was vanquished but at a cost
Acts of terror,  his proclaimers forgot
Preaching peace to a world stage, others you counsel killed each day
The truth is tainted by the media's stage, all colours all tribes dead on the way
I don't decry the good he did, but remember the killing in his partys name.
Freedom fighter/terorist/prisoner/president/penitent

The shell
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
There is nothing more heinous or gravid a crime than the death of the human soul and spirit killed by another, save for it being killed and the body left to roam this earth. ..
A few thoughts upon the days news stories and a line in a song
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
Like a chariot she thundered through
As though trying to raise a response in those ambivalent to her purpose
Contained in her own atmosphere
More rarefied than fresh air, like the boy in the bubble
Mm she knew how to use manipulation
For she treated all as though staff or fee paying of her time
Even when ****** and by virtue of decision there was never any quarter
But some, in the minority and silent
Watched her as she destroyed the lives of others
Watched and never acted nor spoke
As though inert
This is now the epitaph
The close
The passing
The bridge is crossed and the fire burns brightly
I care not to see its flames envelop her

I may have imagined lust
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
I looked upon her face
I tried to catch her smile
loved her ponytail
Perfect teeth beaming grin
Though I never knew the girl within
We chat of thing's they have no claim
No claim or sight of what's inside
No idea and guess they might
From ramdom hugs to congugation
He Seamed nylons cause speculation
All topics are open and none closed
In my mind we've popped the cork
Truth be known we never tried
I've never been between her thighs
Never kissed her charming lips
Or touched her *******
Caressed their tips
Run my fingers down her back
Kissed her neck and held her tight
So whatever you think we may have done
You have no concept of literal fun
A bit of literary fun from some months ago

Venus
Micheal Wolf Dec 2013
Stargazing in the early winters eve
Someone sends me a message
Is that Venus I can see?
Yes I reply, not realising what had occurred
Miles apart a split second in time
Both looking at the crescent moon
And the light in the sky

coalition xmass
Micheal Wolf Nov 2013
Away in the UK on any estate
The frost on the window
No coal in the great
Grandmas been buried
She died from the cold
Her fuel allowance was lost in the post
The children are coughing
And mums on the game
For money to feed them no job can she get
The benefits system has failed them again
Up in the bright sky it was all dark
The council turned of the street lights as well
The power is off the bill wasn't paid
But big business wallows on the profit its made
They called it recession and austerity too
But what it's real name was..
**** me and you

New Samaritan
Micheal Wolf Nov 2013
When you see a soul hurt or tortured, in pain
Do you walk past?
Stop?
Or run away
You probably can't help them
You won't understand why
Just being there to listen
Can save a life
No judging,  no lecture,  no telling you so
Just hold them and listen
Till the fear starts to go
Fear of living or dying
Loving or loss
A body to hold them till the pain has passed
Now look at them closely for all you will see
Is a reflection of all that you'll ever be
The new Samaritan is me
It is also in you
In a world full of pain
Only love can break through
Micheal Wolf Nov 2013
Can you hear the sound of a little girls thoughts?
They won't be like yours
The simplicity of life the innocence of play
After ballet can we go to the stables pleeeeasse?
Do we feed the hoses? Or pick apples today
What's on my sandwiches,  what flavour crisps?
Do you know why the ***** cat has a limp?
We've run out of carrots the giggles are loud
Time to go home now, daddy I'm tired
Just as the horses went for a ride
All playing together with no cares in the world
I wonder what goes on in those little heads

So now on a Saturday I get to be dad
If I'm lucky see you for a little while
Without "thats wrong or not now or don't do that"
Sometimes I even get to hold you tight
Then we all part and my daughter chats on
About the fun she had with her friends who have gone
Can they sleep over or play in the park
Can we go to their house she never stops
Then the day fades and they all go home
Then I'm left to my thoughts alone.
